What is the best compliment you ever received? One of the nicest compliment I ever received was from someone out of the blue who just walk by and asked me a question because they thought I work there because I look like I belong. And there were so many people around me who agreed.

That I am my grand-daughter's favorite grandma, even at 15 years old :)

My best compliment was two fold from a gal I work with & my pastors wife. Recently I've taken on the "mother" role for her. She's come to be for advice and an ear to listen. I invited her to a Bible study and she started opening up... she starts out with this lady (referring to me) she's good. She just knew I needed to be here. The next morning Pastors wife sends me a text saying blessing to you for listening to God in inviting your friend to Bible Study. WOW that was huge for me. I struggle with listening to God all the time... But realizing I listened and acted on him working through me...that's a big step.

I really like hearing "you look great" (very vain; I know).
But I hate it when they add "for your age." :(

What's a compliment? I haven't gotten one since my teens when someone told me I looked like Ann Margaret. He must have been blind because I thought I looked more like Haley Mills. :)

The best compliment i have gotten is people always telling me that i look just like my mama, even before she died, and they are still telling me that, I am grateful for looking like her.

Today, when my kids or wife leave the house they said, "Love you daddy-o." I will always remember that sounds great. I know I will have a good day when I have my family say that to me daily.

When I sang a solo for a friends funeral when I was 78 years old myself and so many people came up and told me I "still have it" and how much they loved the song.

Im showing my age too.Hayley Mills sang a song "lets get together"yeh yeh yeh.......and then i had a crush on her and bought the 45.......But Ann Margaret was no slouch either....LOL!

The best compliment was back when I was an awkward 16 year old & an elderly woman in my French class wrote that I was pretty. Sometimes it is the little things, that at the time, meant so much to me :)

I got pulled over by a trooper for speeding, got a warning but also was told I had nice tan legs. Didn't know what to think about that one. When I was younger I was complimented that I had a ghetto bubble butt. Hadn't had that one in a while. Not very PC either.

I helped a person with MS get up the steps at the post office. She said, "You are very kind." I always wanted to be kind and that day I was.

The best compliment I have received is that I am a good mother. That compliment means a lot to me because I am a single mom and I work hard to make sure my kids have what they need and turn out to be decent people. Being a mom is one of the most important jobs.

I recently lost twenty pounds and those that knew me before I lost the weight now say I look terrific and younger. Everyone, weight excluded, has always told me I was 'cute'. I have to say though the best compliment I ever received I didn't actually receive in person. On the phone with my grandmother whom used to live out in Arizona when she was alive had told me this. She had shown a picture of me to her postman. She told me he responded that I had beautiful eyes. It was the only time I was actually ever complimented like that before or since, so for me it was the best compliment I ever got.

No matter what friends my son brings by they do not believe my real age. they say you look so good so that makes me feel good. And my hair and nails so many compliments.
I was sitting at the DR. and i think about 4 people just admired me and how i look. To me that makes me feel good. And make my day.

The best compliment I have ever received was a lovely card from my mother-in-law when my daughter graduated Valedictorian from her high school class. My mother-in-law praised and thanked me for the way I raised my daughter (her only grandchild) to be the wonderful young lady she turned out to be. I still cherish that card. I only wish my mother-in-law could have seen the beautiful grandson my daughter has given me. She would have really been proud. Although I know she is watching over us from heaven, there is still a void in our lives....

Mine came from my son when he was much younger. He told me that I was not like other fathers. He said that I listened to him, responded to his questions with honesty, paid total attention to him when he was talking, thought out my response, gave him the benefit of the doubt, and did this all with the utmost respect for his feelings. I try to respond to everyone in this manner and find those that do not make any attempt at employing any of these elements of caring to be not as welcome within my circle. I am very proud that both my children take time to listen when asked questions and to reply with the same amount of love, empathy and care. Taking an extra few minutes to be compassionate with those around you does make a difference.

This guy who use to walk past my house every single day and I just figured he was going to work. Till one day I was coming out of CVS and he rambled my license plate off to me. I asked him how did he know that? he said that he made a point to one day stop at my house to tell me that he thought that I was the most beautiful woman he ever laid eyes on that dont wear makeup. After he told me that I never seen him again, he was for a year trying to get the courage up to tell me that, until I ran into him that day in front of CVS...it was kind of creepy but it really made me feel good :) awwwwe

Just in general when someone is sincere in how you look or are a good person......its always nice to hear...and its always nice to see people appreciate when you thank them for something.

I was mistaken once for a model. I was also complimented on my skin by a complete stranger in the grocery store. I was really flattered both times. ;D :rose:

One of the nicest compliment I ever received was just a nice guy i never meet before telling me i had one of the most beautiful smile he had ever seen.
