Have you ever been drug tested at work? I usually play it safe and drink Pepsi.

I have been drug tested by a company for which I was applying for employment. I have no issues with taking a drug test. I now work for this company and I don't know if they do random drug test. No worries here.

Never went through this plus I don't think the Company do drug testing.

I was drug tested when I got hired. It was no problem, of course, since I've never even dabbled in any drugs. They said they were goign to start random drug tests on employees but I haven't seen that yet.

I have gotten drug tested before I began a job but never on the job while at work. I know they sometimes do that if an accident happened on the job and they want to make sure drugs was not the cause of the accident.

I have never been drug tested while working at a job although I have been asked for drug tests when applying for jobs before. It never particularly bothered me to comply.

Alcohol is not a drug. There are so many things wrong with your statement. Yes, I have been drug tested a bunch of times. So has anyone who has a JOB these days. Seems only the welfare bums get money and don't have to be drug tested. If I have to be drug tested to EARN the money then they should have to be drug tested to STEAL it from me!

Have been drug tested several times, no problem I don't use them and never have. I have also been finger printed for a background check. Again did great , Never had a ticket of any kind. I feel that since a lot of us have been checked so well, why isn't congress treated the same way, also feel like those on welfare and government hand outs tested. Seems like it is just those who work are,

Yes I have been drug tested. Where I work you must agree to be drug tested, have a police check, and an FBI clearance. I had no problems with any of the 3.

On a serious side, I got the full background, drug testing for my current employer when I first got hired... eons ago..
Even when I worked at Disney in my youth, they did urine tests for every employee. I know employees that do hair analysis as well.... for drugs.

I guess it's okay if you suspect someone is using. Otherwise it isn't necessary. They can use those funds for better projects.

And I don't have a chip on my shoulder. But yes it makes me mad that welfare bums get money every month that "I" and other working people WORK for and yes we are all drug tested and yet the bums are not required to be drug tested.
As for the "joke". I did not see a picture with your original post!

I've done both drug testing and background checks when applying for a job. I'll do anything they require of me.
After all, I've got nothing to hide and it's on their dollar.

They did drug testing at my old job because it was at a vet clinic and there was access to medications. They did initial hire testing then "random" testing. At one point they suspected people of being on drugs so they would "randomly" pick two people at a time every few weeks. One that they suspected then another person so it didn't look so suspicious that the same people kept getting picked
It didn't bother me. It usually ended up being your lunch break but you got paid and could get away with a longer break

I have never been tested for drugs at work. I don’t mind going through it if it is required. I think it is a good way to keep employees in check as a reminder to stay away from intoxicants for risk of losing their jobs.

They do not have to pick a second person so it does not look suspicious. If there is just cause and they suspect a person is on drugs they can drug test them and you can take the test or you can refuse and go home. I know a woman who was suspected of drug use and she was asked to take a drug test. She refused. So she lost her job. They did not have to test another person. Or give an explanation. You just have to have a program set up and go by the rules you set forth to start with. I got hurt a few weeks ago at work and I had to take a drug test for Workman's Comp to pay for the medical bills. No big deal.

You have NEVER heard of anyone being drug tested as a per-employment or as a requirement to keep a job? Seriously? Have you ever worked or known anyone who works? Almost every where does pre employment drug testing nowadays. And most do random as well.

I have been drug tested upon being tested for new employment on two occasions. I wish my employer would do random drug tests every few years. I realize it's rather expensive but I think for the well being of individuals and those affected by them it would be tough love coming from employers. I know for a fact of several associates that should be tested... and unless they get hurt on the job...it'll never happen.

I get tested for drugs when starting a new job but really have no worries as drugs are not a part of my daily routine. I think that alcohol is often worse than most drugs and pretty noticeable with the production numbers of people, on Mondays, who have hangovers. Entry to job drug tests are pretty common with higher paying employment. I have never been tested for drugs once I have been on the job but witnessed several people go through the process. Generally these people exhibited erratic behavior that warranted concern with regard to their behavior. At my last job their was an individual that got tested repeatedly because of their odd behavior, failed to pass a few tests, was asked to go through drug dependency training and was eventually terminated due to subsequent behavioral patterns.

Yes several times. We get random tests. The first one is when you get hired and others are random. The last one I had was December 2015.

I do. I never fail any of them. Always pass with flying colors. I am so grateful that my pops always gave me advice about never put anything in my body that is harmful to my health. I don't smoke and don't drink or do any drugs. I love that man for teaching me correct principles.

I have been drug tested but only during the hiring process. I think all places need to so drug testing more then just at the hiring process tho. I worked at one place where a guy was on a ladder and fell off,,, had to go to hospital and guess what,,, yes he was on drugs and should not have been on that ladder 12 feet in the air !!!!

ive been drug tested when I first started at my job...when I went back they apparently did away with drug testing.
