I live in Utah so it's very unusual for me to see and spend time near the ocean. It's pretty special when I can spend time on the beach.
I think it's been at least 12 years, for me.
What about you?

Maybe about 20 years ago when I was in the navy in Virginia.

I stopped in Daytona Beach three years ago on the way home from a convention in Orlando. I love the Ocean!

It has been about 12 years for me too. I probably will never see the ocean again

I last went to the ocean in Cape May, NJ on vacation with my daughter just after my granddaughter was born a couple years ago. I never go into ocean water because I am fearful of what can be there that you can't see and might step on, like a shark or something.

Last summer I went to the beach in Destin, FL.

I have never seen an ocean

Two years ago I was in Virginia. We stopped at Cape Henry and walked in the ocean there and also at Virginia Beach.

We used to go deep sea fishing every year for 15 years. We haven't seen the ocean for another 15 years except for one cod fishing trip in 2005, which was the first time in 10 years. We don't bother anymore because the quotas are so small, it isn't productive or cost effective. It's cheaper to stay home and buy the fish from the fish market. :)

A long time and that is sad considering I live only about 30 miles away but they don't let you park/ride on the beach near me anymore and I am disabled to the point I don't think I could make it to somewhere I could enjoy it. Although north of here is a beach that has benches near the road and I may be able to make it out there to sit and look at the ocean. Oh well

I live in middle Tennessee and it has been about 6 years since I went to the beach. I want to go on a curise this summer if I can find someone that wants to go with me. Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe. :)

It has been at least four years since I have been to the beach. I went with my daughter's family to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for the weekend.

It's been years. I don't enjoy going to the ocean, I don't like sand! I'd much rather go for a trip to the mountains.

It has been at least 10 years, I hope to go see light house along the coast next year.

June 17, 2016 when I flew out of Kona, Hawaii. We watched the sun set over the ocean right before we headed to the airport. I can't wait to go back to paradise!

2 years for me. I love the smell the air. I love to walk the shore. I never pole fished at the beach into the ocean. You have to be a star of some sort to live there.

I live near it but I can't stand the ocean... too dangerous

I haven't been to the ocean in quite a few years. I don't miss it because so much is happening in today's world.

It has been so many years that I don't recall how many. I don't live near an ocean so therefore I don't get to go. Oh, wait a minute. We went on a cruise 20 years ago how could I forget that. It was an awesome vacation.

We go at least 10 times a year, but since we are selling our home we have been too busy for the last couple of months. It also helps that I belong to a timeshare system with beach properties all over, so we have stayed at Seaside, OR, Long Beach, WA, Depot Bay, OR, Gleneden Beach, OR Newport, OR, Florence, OR, Ocean Shores, WA, Birch Bay, WA, San Juan Islands, WA, Vancouver, BC, Victoria BC, Anchorage AK, Daytona Beach, FL, Edisto Island, SC, Key Largo, FL, Hampton Beach, NH and I am sure many more I missed.

The only chance I get to see the ocean is when i go past it in a car or van.

The last time I went to the ocean was just after my granddaughter was born and she is now 2. We went to Cape May, NJ and rented a house for the week. The weather was gorgeous and so were the beaches. We all had a great time including the baby.

The last time I was near the ocean was in January when I was on an international flight to Europe. Unfortunately I was in the middle section and the flights were overnight so I didn't actually see it. Other than that I have not seen the ocean in person, but it is on my bucket list.

Last month, I live in PA and my brother lives in Jersey right on the ocean front. I usually go at least 3-4 times a year.

I live 20 minutes from the ocean.... I can see it if I climb the hill by my home on a clear day.
Never gets old to see the ocean, always beautiful.
Last time I actually walked on the sand by the ocean was about 3 weeks ago...

Just a week ago, we live near the beach and have a boat so usually we are in the ocean.

Spent some time in the Pacific Ocean in a ship. Pretty scary but had a good time.

Ten years ago I was in San Francisco and took a drive down the coast to Monterey. Beautiful.

I adore playing in the ocean with the waves knocking you around. 8) It's been a while since I've been near one, however.
I do love my Mississippi River which is nearby. Just driving by it makes me feel better when I'm down. :in-love:

I live in Florida, but can't even remember the last time I was at the ocean.

My husband and I go every year in July. I love the ocean.

A few weeks ago. I live in Florida, so you're never too far from the Gulf of Mexico or the Atlantic.

Its been years since ive been to the beach. i see a vacation in my future.

I live very near the ocean, so at least drive to it and watch the waves even if I do not get in to it.

About 2 years ago at Seaside in Oregon. The trip was good except it was windy and rainy a lot on and off. But the boys enjoyed some of the great eateries over there. There was some Kangaroo Jerky and one of the shops. I didn't buy it.

It's been several years since I've been. We went with the oldest daughter, most of her family and our youngest daughter for a few hours when we were visiting the oldest daughter. It was fun but a lot of seaweed had washed up and no one had raked it yet.

Been too too long. I live near the ocean/beaches and I hardly go to them and I do love the ocean.

I was there last year for my Honeymoon in Punta Cana It was a blast wish i could go back there!

I was in Daytona beach in may. The water was very calm and refreshing as the air temperature was in the 90s.

I live about 3 hours away and I haven't seen water since 2012. Every year I say I will go, but I don't get to due to working 2 jobs.

Last time I was at the ocean was about 10 years ago, by Oceanside, CA (the Pacific Ocean).

We used to go all the time but since money has gotten so tight, we don't get there very often anymore. We went in Feb but it was only for one day, we couldn't afford more :(

I went to Sarasota Florida to visit my daughter once, and that's the closest I've ever been to reaching/approximating the ocean.

I live on a coastal town, so I can head to the ocean any time I want. It's just less than a ten minute walk from my place.

I've never been to the ocean in my life. I grew up so sheltered, and I don't have the desire to travel either.

It has been about 6 years since I went to the beach. I am about ready to go back now. I just retired 5 weeks ago and am enjoying being at home all the time. Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe. :)

For me it is only about an hour and a half to two hour drive away but I just haven't gotten there in about 5 years. Hoping that I will be better off finance wise this year so that I can take a vacation

It's been about 5 years. I used to see the Pacific regularly because my sister lived in CA for about 20 years and in Hawaii about 5 years. She died this past year. If I ever see the Pacific again, it will remind me of her and bring back some wonderful memories, although sad now too.

when I went to panama city beach at age 14. we took a last family vacation before my father died. to spend our last moments with him.

I live on the Gulf of Mexico which isn't really an ocean but close enough. I rarely go to the beaches on the other side of Florida so I haven't been in ocean water for quite some time

Not fond of swimming in the ocean or going to the beach. So I would say it's been years.

I grew up near the beach and still live near the beach. By near, I mean about 15 minutes. I went this past weekend but that was the first time I have been to the beach in years. I see it all the time but rarely get to enjoy it.

I live in Florida and sorry to say i dont go see the ocean as often as i should.. I dont care for the crowd, sharks or the sandy water. I do know that not all of them are like that. But id have to say that i enjoy the smell , sound, the water, the feeling of the sea/ ocean!

A longgggg time ago. I'm not much of a beach person. But I will be going again sometime this summer with friends!

I think my last time to the beach was when I was 14Yold with my little sister and some friends.

I was on the ocean just last week. My daughter, her husband and I went to Iceland on vacation and we drove way up north to where the fjords are. We went on a boat in the North Atlantic and saw humpback whales up real close (within 20 feet). What magnificent creatures they are!

I have never been to an ocean. Will have to add that to my bucket list. Have been to many lakes as I live in beautiful Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes.
