Does anyone believe in prayer and how does it work?

Yes! I also go to church and prayer does work. My mom prayed for my healing when I was a baby from Epilepsy. You have to believe in your heart what you are praying and to have faith that you will get what you are praying for.

Yes! All you have to do is have faith, going to church is good for praying.

I used to all the time, till the Catholic Church ripped me off for a 750.00 donation I made in my mothers name to buy Bibles and Rosaries for the kids. A friend who worked in the religious  education department told me the money went for a X-Mas party for the volunteers and staff at Applebee's .  Pretty swell finding that out.... they got happy hour and snacks on my money.  Last time i set foot in a church.  Along with all the other stuff going on in the catholic churches  I stay away.  I have prayed at home.

I am very sorry you experinced that  shenkoshi.  it is sad some churches out there do things like that. as well as some ministers. praying at home is good also. I do it all the time. wow that is terrible that it didn't go for what you were donating for. that is terrible.

I  pray all the time and Our Father in Heaven does listen and he answers In a way that he sees fit. :angel11

If I wanted that amount of money to go to something specific I would've just made the purchase myself.  That church was wrong was doing that but that was the actions of one specific church.  There are some corrupt entities in many groups( churches, schools, charities, police, politicians, etc) but that doesn't mean that the whole is bad.

Yes, I do.  Pray to Jesus.  He loves you. He hears our prayers. He will answer according to His purpose.

And to answer your post, I pray regularly all day long. I do not believe that you have to go to a particular building to pray or get in any specific positions.

How does it work? Truthfully, some times it does but other times it doesn't.
