Till we start changing the names of cities, counties and states? The movement to erase the past, and create a neutral/unbiased/politically correct utopia through removal of flags, statues, monuments, reporters whose names sound like historical figures, street signs with religious symbols, etc., etc., is broadening it's scope. Since Washington was a slave owner it would stand to reason, by todays standards, that the state of Washington, Washington monument, and Washington D.C should be renamed and monetary instruments be redesigned. Jefferson was a slave owner so counties should be renamed. Mount Rushmore has slave owners on it so thought should be given towards defacing that monument. Shouldn't San Diego, San Luis Obispo, San Bernardino, San Antonio and San Francisco (honoring a Saint) be renamed? Shouldn't the White house be painted a neutral color?

The pc thing has swung to far the wrong way. It is the history of the country and hiding it will not change that. We need to see and learn from the past so as not to repeat some of the same mistakes. (Which we seem to be doing now in many ways)

I just know as much as we try to change things things stay the same. Is changing these things gonna really change anything? I certainly hope so as we are going through so much trouble to do so. :angel11: :heart: :rose:

Whatever turns your crank. I just know it makes life more complicated when someone tells me about a good place on Union Ave. and all the signs say Martin Luther King Blvd.

Honestly I think it's stupid. Everyone is offended by something so it will never end. The past can be changed or erased no matter what monument is taken down or name is changed. Hiding what some find offensive of this nation's past doesn't erase the fact it existed. It's sad some schools have already change history books to read 'Africans were brought into this country for indentured servitude' rather than for slavery. I don't care what color you are, this country bled one color, red so it could be made whole. Now it's bleeding again because people find it offensive it even bled the first time.

It's a tough call. They are reminders of the past history which you can't reinvent because hey, it happened. They are learning tools in what to hope for the future.

I feel everything needs to be changed. Take away the saints names too. All of it. I want school segregation NOT HUMAN RACE, sex genders needs to be completely separated properly with human kindness. Wow what kind of jobs and other kinds of activities would this bring.

The situation in this country is sickening. We are rapidly becoming a fascist, communist dictatorship, and not even from the federal government, but from the local authorities who let these despicable happenings destroy our whole culture, history, and society. The real goal is white genocide, since it's a commonly known fact, boasted about by the communists for many years, that destroying a people's history is the first step to destroying that people. If people don't like our history and our culture, they should go move to some other country that has a more palatable history. I suggest they go live with their buddies ISIS, since they have the same techniques.
