Title: forum posts
Post by: Gerianne on September 09, 2017, 07:54:16 am
I am trying to post as many posts as I can before my
"hurricane vacation".

I remember a snowstorm when I was a child.
All that mom had in the cupboard was oatmeal and raisins.
we were tired of it after a while.

Stay safe and maybe you will have a chance to post while you're away.

I would try and get that in to especially if the power goes out. You never know if you are going to have time to finish your posts. Good luck and stay safe where you are.

I do the same thing when I go out of town, vacation, or add an extra post, cause some days I don't have the time to post everyday! Life gets in the way of other things to do!

Yep lol we got pretty tired of cheese crackers, PBJ and fig newtons during Irma.  Without power though there wasn't a lot of choice and we just moved and don't have a grill and certainly don't have a generator.

It's interesting to read what members of the forum survived on during a natural disaster.  The last time I rented a car I stocked up on water.  As long as I have water, coffee, Hazelnut International Delight and a Hershey bar - I think I'd be just fine.

Wait - How would I make my coffee without power?

Amazon has a filter holder that holds the coffee filter right over a coffee cup, so if you can make a fire and heat water....you'd be able to make coffee without power.  :)

We have two different coffee makers that all you have to do is boil the water outside for.  We keep water for that.

Hello! :D :)

I'm trying to get in as much post as possible too, as you never know what can happen. For instance a couple of days ago my computer just stopped working right before I can finish my monthly postings. While I hope you get in as much posts as possible nonetheless your safety is of uttermost importance, stay safe. :rose:

Hurricane season is no fun for anyone.  It certainly has a bad start with Harvey, Irma, Maria.  Poor Puerto Rico got hit twice.  They certainly don't need any more.  Prayers to anyone who has to go through one.

Storms are never fun, neither is eating the same stuff over and over, but the main thing is that everyone is safe in the end.
