A Florida woman who put a 'hot and sexy female' sign in her front yard to try to get her power switched back on after Hurricane Irma has seen her inventive recovery tactics go viral.
Kynse Leigh, 37, was in a Tampa hospital recovering from a kidney and pancreas organ transplant when the hurricane hit her neighborhood in Fort Myers.
When she returned to find it was broken, the mother-of-one put a sign in her front yard pleading for help so that she could move back in and continue to heal from the procedure.
On Sunday, she left a sign in her front yard which read: 'Hot sexy female seeks lineman to electrify her life.'
The message was spray painted on to a large piece of leftover plywood in hot pink. Leigh placed it in front of the fallen trees which the hurricane brought down.
She suffers Type 1 diabetes and was recovering from a kidney and pancreas transplant .

What people will do to get what they want. I wonder if it worked?
-
Saw this on the world news last night. It got their attention and she had power by that evening.
-
I love it! She just needed her situation to be noticed by those who could help her and it was!
-
Quite clever, as this went viral, it certainly was effective at getting attention. And it was a nice little chuckle amiss all the destruction.
-
Smart woman! LOL! She got her power on!

8) I don't think would have done what she did. But I understand why she did it ,it was a matter life
or death. Sometimes you have to do desperate thing to get attention. It is a shame that men will
come running when the words hot and sexy are mention. You kinda know he was thinking about.
I wonder what electricity company the he was working for.
-
Pretty clever. I'm glad it worked for her.
-
People would do anything...to get things done.
-
She definitely found a way to fix her problem! :) Smart

I looked this up, and it's a true story.

go for it. i thinkit was a great idea anditgets people talking about the loss of power.
-
I think she was in a life threatening situation and I am glad she got her power back on so she could use it for whatever machine she needs for her health. Hope she gets better with her health challenges.

What an interesting story
-
I agree with everyone's mixed feelings and reaction!!
-
Well did it work? If I saw that I probably would not get what she was asking. I would think it was a prank, or someone trying to get a date.

She is no more special than any one else. I am sure there were other people with medical problems. What about people who are on oxygen and need that to be able to breathe? They needed power as well. People are stupid and they flock to crazy stuff like that. I would have just laughed at it and went on and got to her when I could. Not jump her ahead of someone else.

I doubt she had any "machines" for her health. An organ transplant doesn't require machines at home. Like I already said, I am sure there are a lot of people in the area who are on oxygen and needed power as well. These people are working as hard as they can, around the clock, to try to get the power restored. And if they stop for a 5 minute break you have friggin idiots who are jumping on them yelling how they need to be working. And I would bet the ones doing that are drawing welfare and have never worked a day in their life.

Wow - just wow. Kudo's to this gal for creativity. I wonder how many others didn't have power and saw her's come on to think, "Why didn't I think of that?" When life gives you lemons make lemonade - and she did.
-
Lol...omg! Do we know the ending to this story? Wonder if she got her lineman to electrify her! Lol
-
It is interesting. If she did it with humor in mind then I thought it was a great tactic.

Desperate calls for desperate measures. I like the tag line, “to electrify her life.” I thought that was very creative.
