I'd been suffering for a week with a cold or sinus issues. Wasn't sure which. Couldn't sleep at night for coughing really hard all night. Went to doc in a box cause my doctor was too booked to see me. Got a steroid shot, a zpack antibiotics (for throat) and RX for cough med. with codeine. Still took a few days but finally started feeling better. Good luck with yours!

I have put this up more then once. The product is Fiber-biotics.A tasty chewable wafer by Purity Products in Long Island,NY.I swear by this stuff. It puts the good bacteria in your gut which helps your immune system to ward off disease.I have been taking them for yrs and see the results. You get a months supply for about $22.This is really an excellent company thats been around over 20 yrs.
The products are a little pricy but well worth it.They have a web-site.Taking anti-biotics all the time are no good cos they get rid of the good bacteria in your body too.

I swear by a mix of chamomile tea, a little splash of whiskey, lemon, and honey. It knocks it right out and will sanitize this system, it also really soothes the throat. My mom always made this for me when I was growing up.
-
Lemon, honey, and vitamin C always work pretty well for me. I also have this tea by Traditional Medicinals called Breath Easy. It helps clear all the snot. If you're already at a sore throat stage they also make one called Throat Coat.

vicks

Maybe some tea or drink plenty of vitamin C
-
slice up some ginger, boil it in water, drink the water.

When I feel a cold coming on I double up on my Vitamin C. I usually take 2 500 MG Chewable tablets a day ... If I feel a little under the weather I take 4 for a day or so. Seems to help me knock it out before it starts.

Drink lots of fluid - I find this really works in making that sore throat you feel coming a lot less painful. I usually start taking some Tylenol early too, I think this makes the symptoms less severe. Go to bed early, resting helps your body prepare for fighting the illness. Hope you feel better soon!

Usually use vicks and a netti pot.
-
Take Zink and a lot of it when you first feel a cold coming on.
-
I use grapefruit seed extract (4 drops) in a lil juice a few times a day. All I need, and the bottle lasts for many months.
Helps sinus, and all sorts of issues.
Look it up. Got this last batch from Amazon.

Yes, I forgot about the neti pot. I use mine everyday and it really does help. It will help with any incoming sinus infection.
-
You can also try sleeping with a cool mist air humidifier. It helps me when I have a cold.
-
Plenty of fluids and a lot of rest !!
-
I smashed the garlic and boiled it. Put a little of sugar and drink it. Makes your body warm and feel good.

My husband swears by echinachea tablets and garlic tablets for a cold. He starts taking them when he feels a cold coming on, and he says it shortens the duration and severity of the cold. Good luck to you! :star:

I too have a cold that keeps staying with me my thoughts are if you take medications the cold will last for 7 days and if you take nothing it will last a week
-
Just drink some ginger tea and get some rest.
-
I used to take a shot (or 2 every couple hours) of Ginger Brandy when I had bronchitis and/or severe cold/flu. It would knock it right out of me.
-
I have been stuffed up too. I got a flu shot last week
-
Eat fruits/veggies, drink water, and sleep!
-
nope I just use alka seltzer cold if I feel one coming on.

Oil of oregano helps alot

I'm a firm believer in coldeeze. Or Zicam - anyway you can get a little extra zinc in ya at the very beginning. Sleep more, drink more water - and lay low. You're body needs some down time and it's warning you. If I get a chill I get sick. Everytime. So for me layer it up to avoid that chill.
-
I've tried the zinc therapies such as Cold Eeze and have had no noticeable effect. I find I'm most susceptible to sickness when I'm run down without enough sleep or stressed out. I think rest and possibly higher intake of Vitamin C is helpful in thwarting the cold.

I have used this product on my toe nails and it works well.I get it from Purity Products.A company i support for their evidence producing products.

Vitamin C taken several times a day always helps me in the beginning before it really settles in if you will. I buy it in raw? powder form. The flavored Emergen-C packets work just fine too but I find the powder is more potent. The pure powder is quite sour but you can mix it with juice if you don't like the taste. It doesn't bother me though.

Try energy medicine exercises. There's one called "Connecting Heaven and Earth" that is supposed to help nip an oncoming cold in the bud. I also use a respiratory blend of essential oils in a diffuser every night. You can also rub it on the soles of your feet. This has worked wonders for my husband and me! One of my favorite remedies that has really helped me is sniffing salt water. A netti pot is probably more efficient, but I just mix up a little warm salt water, place it in the palm of my hand and sniff it up through my nose into my head. It helps clear out congestion and promote healing.

Juice, chicken soup and a lot of rest

I like to try to sweat things out with exercise or a hot bath, then lots of rest with juice, medicine, and herbal tea. Zinc is good to take, too. Zicam seems to work fairly well if you take it as soon as you feel under the weather.
