I think about it being really cold, the funny way they pronounce certain words, French, and my sister's best friend, Deme, who lives in Quebec. :) :rose:

I remember beautiful Ontario.
Almost moved there with husband and kids. Then husband left for a younger woman, and the kids and I stayed in Wisconsin.
Very glad we did, but memories of Ontario always lovely (The country, not the ex-husband ha ha!)

I think it would be a nice place to live it if weren't so cold up there. Canada is one of the few places I'd consider moving from the US given the opportunity otherwise. It's similar enough to home but with plenty of unique things to discover which would suit me just fine.
-
I think unbelievably beautiful and clean parks and campgrounds.
-
neighbor just across the lake

It's a place I would like to visit one day, and see for myself how they live and their language.

Hello? I need better topics to even post little one liners on to get to 30. All the fun happens after I post my 30.
-
I personally hate it because sometimes I have to go there for work and I don't like going there because it's cold, expensive and my cell phone doesn't work there. Unfortunate I have a couple of trips there this month but I will try to switch them if I can. I try to avoid going if I can help it.
-
Fantastic fishing in BC

our neighbors to the north; cold; "O Canada" lol

Bitter cold, mucho snow, polar bears, Arctic Circle, northern lights, our neighbors, our friends, better health system than we have presently (or at least less expensive drugs), Quebec, Vancouver (both cities I'd like to visit), and vast areas of wilderness!

You can view Niagara Falls in the United States, although the view is a lot better in Canada

My second home. And maple syrup. I absolutely love Canada, and not simply because I have relatives over there. I plan on retiring there someday. The health care and people are so much better.

-
Beautiful country, friendly people, great food, cold winters. A country we can call a friend.

The series on Netflix called "Heartland". We love that show and it very seldom has any bad words and they aren't as bad as some you hear on regular tv shows in the evenings.
-

Great friends, we deal with Air Canada Airlines in our business and have some great memories, times and friends there.
-
A red maple leaf, maple syrup and "ehhh" lol - especially maple syrup oh my gosh I love it but it has to be the real deal. I grew up eating flavored syrup water hahahaha but when I met my husband I was introduced to real maple syrup and I was hooked.
-
Home. <3
-
niagra falls...........
-
1. Secondary home. I've lived there for several months at one point.
2. Roots. I have a grandparent that was from Canada. And many of my ancestors lived in Canada before settling in the USA, some brought here by force.
3. Friends. I have several from there.
-
Snow and nice neighbors
-
I think about all of the film stars, musicians and athletes that come from Canada, make their fame and fortune in the United States and then complain about what a lousy country the United States is. I also think about the wonderful beers and beautiful scenery. The accent was similar to many people that I grew up with in Wisconsin. Because of the proximity I picture most of Canada having frigid winters. I have seen Canada as a refuge for those that aim to escape the draft rather than using excuses like bone spurs or those that just want to escape whatever ruckus is going on in the states. I think about a medical system that appears to take care of every individual without bankrupting anyone but also a healthcare system that can cause long waits for attention.
-
Hockey and snow
-
Snow, ice and cold
-
I think of the many pretty pictures I have seen of Canada. I also think of very cold weather which I do not like. However, I would like someday to visit Canada.
-
I think of the Waterton Lakes National Park. Took a trip to Glacier and Waterton and spent a few days hiking the trails. Beautiful.
-

I think about how they're an amazing country that I'd love to visit. It seems like a beautiful place and I love how they get lots of snow.
-
Extremely beautiful, rugged, great folks.
New political leanings of their federal gov't ... insane.
:rose:
-
Cold! Snowy!
Country near the North Pole!
-
Beautiful country, peaceful people, stable government
-
Very first thing that pops to mind is Niagara Falls, we went there when I was 6 or 7. If I think a bit more the Polar bears of Churchill Manitoba (my brother went there on a photography trip). Beautiful and tragic with the bears losing habitat and food supply.
-
I think of several years ago when we lived on a lake and had the college summer interns from the homeless shelter come over each weekend to enjoy the boating.
-
Definitely hockey. They are dominant at that sport
-
I remember our high school band marching in a 5 mile parade when we took a band trip to Canada in summer of 1972.
That trip was also where the romance of my husband and myself started! We have been together ever since!
-
Wow, so many replies, guess I got this to be an interesting topic.
-
USA neighbor up north.
-
cold weather place to send people who complain about living in america

Very expensive. I went there a few years ago and everything was like New York. I won't go again.
-
I think Hockey and Canadian Mounties
-
I think of home.

I think fishing because my spouse and I went to Canada many years ago for a week. We rented a log cabin and went fishing.

When I hear Canada, I think of friendly laid back mild mannered folks.
-
It makes me think of my ancestors. On my grandmother's side they came from Canada. I'd love to visit one day.
-
Hm, mostly hockey and maple syrup! I'm sure there is a lot more to Canada than just those two things, but I've never been there, so I don't have any firsthand experience. Maybe one day!
-
Geese. I don't know why.
-
My first impressions that pop in my mind when I hear “Canada” are maple syrup, free healthcare, and the Canadian dry sense of humor.
