What is the most annoying thing that has waken you up in the middle of the night? I had two people arguing outside my apartment a few weeks ago!

Thunder/fireworks woke me up once

One of my dogs having to go outside. Thankfully it doesn’t happen often.

people walking down the road and laughing and hollering to one another, I live in a rural area so not much noise

Used to be the dog barking at 3am across the street. He doesn't bark much anymore. Yes my neighbor and wife and friends would be talking at 1am. He moved so now it's pretty quiet.

I don't have to any distractions these days while I sleep. One of the most is the weather, if it's stormy outside I hear it and it wakes me up! :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

Racoons or skunks knocking things over on my deck ,but how can you get annoyed at those cute lil guys ?

i am so glad i moved to a home living in an appartment really sucks with neighbors.

Sometimes it is neighbors who argue all the time. If not the neighbors (which are always the same 2 couple) then it is me who needs to pee like every hour lol. But doesn't happen all the time.

Loud music coming from a party in my neighborhood or thunder is annoying when it wakes me up.

There are ways to temporarily deafen yourself(Macks silicone earplugs) in your ear canals are very effective,mixing milk and dozens of aspirin.... Always amazes that so many ppl with so many info resources available can't fix their problems. Jesus Wept.

One of my dogs having to go outside. Thankfully it doesn’t happen often.
My goofy dog does she business at around 3am and has all her life, she has never messed in the house so i get up for her, she barks till i get out of bed but starts by ringing the bells hanging on the door *bleep*. The louder the bells and the more barking make me getting up at different speeds ! And the times I've said "NO go back to bed" she just barks more ... oh well gives me a reason to love her more..

My neighbors left light on at a side door (an extremely brightly one) and it shone in my bedroom. Didn't notice when I first went to bed but woke up in the middle of the night and it was "daylight" in the room!

The most annoying thing that wakes me up is wind - it's so loud and usually gives me a headache.

My neighbors left light on at a side door (an extremely brightly one) and it shone in my bedroom. Didn't notice when I first went to bed but woke up in the middle of the night and it was "daylight" in the room!
Shutters,dark curtains,blinds....Pellet gun the bulb or wear sunglasses

Have to go the bathroom and the house is very cold. I understand that is also scary when the people is arguing.

When I first got married many years ago we lived in apartment for a few years. Our neighbors in the apartment where for the most part very quite. We moved into are first home as a married couple and we have had nothing but a nightmare experience with the neighbors who live next to us! Even though we live in a nice house in a nice suburb means absolutely nothing when your dealing with rude obnoxious people who could care less! I always tell my spouse well, you can't fix stupid!

I'm a very light sleeper so just about anything wakes me up and then of course I have a very hard time going back to sleep hence I come here alot at 3 am EST

I guess I am very fortunate because mostly bad dreams are the only things that wake me up.

Fighting or arguing outside. Though I have not had that happen since living in my current home.

The most annoying thing is when I hear a loud sound of something falling down inside or outside of my house that frighten me and I can get back to sleep.

Last night there was a cat outside the house meowing like it was lost and cold. I got up and found a flashlight , put on my boots and coat and went outside to see if I could catch him. No luck.

My window rattling when the wind picks up. I don't know why it does that, but it is the most annoying sound in the world. We sleep with a fan on every night, and even with the noise coming from the fan, that stupid window still rattles as soon as the wind blows!

A neighbor who shoots a high power automatic rifle probably 20-30 times rapid fire. I don't have any issues with him having it but there is no safe direction to shoot in where I live.

i try to sleep through whatevers (even loud parties). hahaha i even fell asleep during blade runner 2049 because of the synth music in one scene. i woke up just in time for the action sequences though.

Some person reving there motor four in the morning so annoying woke me up they didn't stop til a half hour later

Teenage neighbors dribbling a basketball in their driveway past midnight and apparently not knowing or caring that sound travels.

I rarely wake up in the middle of the night. Even if there was a commotion, I am usually in a deep slumber and will not wake up until morning.

I'm a night owl but am annoyed or bothered by arguing, dogs barking, cars playing CRAP music, sirens, and gun shots at anytime of day >:( 8)

I have this apartment building that is next door to my house. When we first moved in, it was an empty building. Now the owner has renovated it into apartments. We have some noisy people there but some of the more noisy moved out. I guess people complained about them so they moved. The landlord is pretty well down to earth and nice :)

In my case, it was a bunch of cats that came and were making those noises they make when the female cat next door was in heat. It happened several years ago for about a week, and it really started driving me crazy. Boy, they can make a lot of racket! I think the cat got fixed!!

I have a Mill close to my house and they are loud, explosions once in a while.

Once in a while the dogs, but then something is usually going on for them to bother barking in the middle of the night. .

There is a train that I can hear. During the day, there isn't an issue, but about 3-4 a.m., I guess the train is starting up, but it makes a lot of noise. Very annoying, so early in the morning.

It's the wind today but in the summer it's crickets outside my bedroom.

There's a lot of road noise where I live, so it's usually passing trucks and what that wake me up in the middle of the night. Now and then on the weekends it's loud neighbors coming home late, but they're usually not too bad.

Ok hearing someone arguing outside my house would be extremely annoying however I am blessed to live in a quiet neighborhood never hear anything like that so I guess I would say that I get awakened at night sometimes with ambulances going up the road that runs by my bedroom window. That street is a street that the hospital is on about four blocks up. But I usually just go right back to sleep so it isn't a big deal just kind of unnerving.

My nieces when I sleep early and they rage riot outside my room door waking me up from my slumber and busting a Boogie Man walking out my door and saying Shut Up! lol.

If I had an extremely messy, prolonged spread sheet review I will dream about the different columns and rows of numbers, macro-pivots employed to complete the review, if proper policy was used when addressing the situation, and if all of the proper peripheral reports were prepared. I generally wake up upon remembering a forgotten element, write it down and revisit it on Monday when I get back into the office because these dreams only plague me in the early morning hours on Sundays. I have a lighter schedule on Saturdays and Sundays, kind of a vacation for my mind. Monday through Friday I work between fifteen and nineteen hours so that when I hit the bed I am dead to anything but the alarm on my phone at four the next morning,

I would say my dog having to go bathroom when Im in a deep sleep. Waking me up and then not going bathroom.

I live in a small village,,,,, the train tracks are very close. I'm used to them now but years ago the train would wake me up every morning at about 3 am,,,, Also the fire department is by the train tracks and the fire siren would go off when ever there was a fire. now days if its after 11pm the siren doesn't go off but the Train still goes by LOL 3 am right on the dot !! but I don't hear it anymore unless i'm having a bad night

Our neighbor either slamming her door or her 2 dogs barking every time a leaf moves (ugh!)

I am fortunate enough to be a deep sleeper. There are very few things that can wake me up when I am asleep. Luckily my alarm on my phone is one of them.

I find it annoying and scary when I see bright lightning and loud thunder at night.

Where I live it is very quiet at night.
There are no annoying distractions to
bother me.

Arguments wake me up night too. I wonder what is so special about the night that people have to fight?
