Title: Lowes is leaving Jimmie Johnson

It is a sad day for NASCAR when a 7 time champion loses his sponsor. I'm sure somebody else will pick him up but they will probably take that from someone else.

He'll probably be retiring soon like Jeff Gordan....

It is sad they are dropping him.  Maybe they want a younger driver.  I just can't believe they would give up a winner like Johnson.

I have not heard this that is very sad I hope it does not cause him to retire and hopefully he can find a new sponsor quickly

Can't say as I blame Lowes. He hasn't been doing well, and honestly, neither have his teammates. I primarily root for Chase Elliot, but Jimmie Johnson is my second pick. I'm glad he was able to place in the top 10 in yesterday's race.

I just did some googling...

Apparently Lowe's is pulling out of Nascar all together .. not just from Jimmie Johnson

Sounds like they are getting out of racing all together.

Sounds like the chevy cars have been having a problem this year - the fords especially stewart - haas are on fie in the first 4 races

I am sure that they have a very good reason for pulling out of the sponsorship. Change is never easy.

Lowes is actually getting out of Nascar alltogether thats why they dropped Jimmy Johnson

Nascar is not as popular as it used to be, I don't think.  Sounds like he might be old enough to retire so maybe he should.
