Title: Headaches
Post by: paints on April 22, 2018, 06:38:50 pm
I'm not sure why, but it seems like every day, I have a headache after being on the computer for awhile.

Any suggestions on how to avoid this?
Other than getting off the computer, I mean.  I have to be online to make money.   :-\

Take small breaks on occasion and roll your eyes around some. Looking in one position for long periods of time puts a lot of strain on your eyes and can cause headaches. Research this as much as you need and I hope this helps you out a lot  :)

Breaks might help.  I tend to get involved and not pay attention to how long I've been on, without a break.

Maybe the headaches are to get me to pay closer attention...  :)

I was having this very same problem and went to the eye doctor and they prescribed me some glasses with blue tint to them that helps cut down on the UV light coming from the computer or off of your cell phone this is something that you may be able to try is to get some glasses with the blue tint I think you can actually order a pair off of Amazon if you don't have to have glasses with just clear blue tint glasses

Take breaks to rest your eyes.  Go in your display settings and maybe turn the brightness down some.  Do you wear glasses? If so make sure you have them on.

Breaks is the easiest thing to do.

Otherwise, you could try buying Gunners.  It's a type of glasses that gamers use so that they can use the computer for longer periods.  The glasses reduce the strength of the blue light from your monitor so they don't stress your eyes as much.  I've heard plenty of streamers say that having them make their day so much easier.  You can find them on Amazon by looking up "gunner glasses" if you are interested.

is your eye sensitive to light. Here is a strange question, do you drink too much or too little water daily? both ways give headaches. Very sorry for your discomfort.

Do you need glasses? That could be a problem. Or maybe you should spend less time on the computer....take breaks from starring at the screen.

There's a screen sized thing you can buy that tones down the brightness of the screen and is not supposed to diminish the ability to see everything clearly.  I can't remember what its actually called but some of the ladies used them at the call center I used to work at.  Might be worth checking into.

I noticed there is a night light setting on my computer.  It says it is supposed to reduce the blue light coming from the computer.  Maybe if I turn that on, it will help.

If not, I'll check into the glasses.  Thanks

I do wear glasses, but don't usually wear them while on the computer, as they are for distance rather than close up.  I'll try it anyway.  Just about anything is better than having a headache every single day.  :)

That may be part of it.  I tend to get dehydrated fairly often.  Thank you for the reminder.

I have been getting headaches lately, but I guess it's the season and I do be on the computer all day.

I work on the computer all day and get headaches from it because frequent breaks are not always feasible. Try drinking more water and look up some neck stretches on youtube (it can result from tension headaches from holding your head a certain way too long).

Yeah that happens sometimes. Staying off the computer could be a suggestion.
