Bill Cosby was found guilty of sexual assault. He is facing prison. What do you think of his conviction?
-
This is very sad for the family involved in this situation.

Nice to see a rich/famous person not walk away free. Although he is so old he pretty much did get away with it by now.
-
It was inevitable though let's see if he serves any jail time.
-
I was shocked they found him guilty, even though we all know he's guilty as sin. I'm still betting he'll get off on an appeal and not serve any jail time.

Bill Cosby was the speaker at my youngest daughter's college graduation. It's crazy that he was setting himself up as a speaker/mentor for young students when he had this whole other life.
-
Hope he will learn a lesson from this and be a good person. Don't abuse someone if you have money.

I wonder what causes people to come forward decades later to press charges. I pray that every lady told the truth in their testimonies.
-
His prison time is currently under house arrest.

Think about the OJ murder case, he got off but went to prison on something else. So Bill might get off too. Probation or very little time because, he has one foot in the grave anyway.
-
Will be interesting to see if he serves time in prison while waiting on the inevitable appeal process to unfold.
-
Good. Even if it is a little too late he has to be held accountable.

It is definitely a sad day for him and his family. While the details of what was actually presented in the trial have yet to come out, one thing is certain, his guilty verdict comes at the hands of the 'popular idea' of the times not necessarily his actual guilt. Had he been brought to trial before the whole #MeToo Movement, I doubt a guilty plea would have been the verdict simply because he was trialed before that and it was a hung jury. In my mind that means there wasn't any real evidence to prove these women were 'taken without consent'. I'm going to guess the same evidence was presented both times but now, I think if any man brought up on sexual harassment (even if it isn't really sexual harassment as in the true meaning of the definition) they are going to get punished. Being who he is, I just hope they will let him serve time in home arrest rather than a prison. I still think, despite his personal life, he is one of the great comedians and will always think of him in that way.

If Bill Cosby did what he is accused of, it was wrong, but I don't think it is right to allow these women to be to come forward decades later when there is no evidence. As a women I know that if a man is alone and invites me to his home or bedroom, he probably has something other than talking in mind and if something inappropriate does happen, tell someone.

It is really very sad... he's not yound anymore and all these years we thought he was a different man. He has been an inspiration for a lot of people my age... One of the few shows that arrived and was big in Europe as well.. I really have no words for this... just very very sad

Its sad and crazy but he has to pay for what he did.

I'm still trying to figure out why they waited until he was 80!

It's about damn time. You reap what you sow. It took several years to catch the moron, but I am glad.
