I am setting aside money now to do fun, relaxing things this summer. I need a vacation.

I really could use a vacation, but mostly just from life. Nothing has really happened. I'm looking for work and stuff, but just the normal daily stuff has gotten really stressful with my mother having cancer and needing someone to help her move about the house and make meals for her.
It feels weird saying I need a vacation when I'm at home all day, but it would be nice to just be by myself for once and not have to think about what others need.

NO that is out of the question for me. I have to many bills. Maybe next summer.

I don't have any money, I'm hoping to go on a mini vacation towards the end of the year, but I need to pay off a few more things first.

:rose: :rainbow: :rose:I plan to have a few days off this year for an event that I've planned to attend. Which would be fun to get a some time off from work and relax! I usually don't get much time away, but this year I plan to! :rose: :rainbow: :rose:

So far, we don't have any plans. What I have been wanting to do is rent little cabins at a nearby campground and then have the grandkids come to stay.

Going to visit my friends cabin like we do each summer! Super excited!

unless it's a car drive away and admittance is free, nope. Can't afford one.

I'd love a vacation but I'm afraid there have been too many expenses lately. Maybe later in the year.

my husband and I are doing our honeymoon for 4-5 days in May. we are going to pick a direction and go with it. somewhere we have never been

Nothing this summer, but I have a cruise set for October.

I really want to take a little mini vacation this year. I would like to travel, but I may just get a hotel for a few days in a nearby city and hang out at the beach.

Not in the summer, however, I do plan on visiting my boyfriend in California in the fall.

We usually go to Florida every year but we bought a house in December so we may have to take this year off. KInd of disappointed because going to the beach is what I look forward to every year. Got to wait until next summer.

I plan to do something but don't know what. It will be on a budget though.

This year I am planning to visit my cousins in the Bahamas. I hope I want change my mind.

I'm going to Destin, Fl this summer for a couple of weeks. Looking forward to the beach.

No... too broke. I'm fighting Family Court, the IRS and the WI dept of Revenue.

It's great to set aside your earnings for a vacation or something special. I'm using mine to offset the cost of auto insurance.

Not planning one this year, but I think we will do a few day trips. There are some places in Texas I would like to go see and a they are all day trips. Will combine it with shopping in a big city. Also a couple of mountain 2-3 day trips near by, well with us near by could be as much as 300 miles while taking a round about trip to get there and comeback.

Yes, I will be taking a few. I'm actually going to Romania in a few weeks for my birthday, then in the summer I am taking a short trip to Ohio, at the end of the summer going to Montana and the Tetons. Trying to see if I can afford a trip over Thanksgiving.

Really was hoping to take a few days and go to the beach. Unfortunately some unexpected expenses arrived so it's probably a no go for us. :(

When I got my taxes back I put $1,000 in a 4 month CD to prevent us from spending our vacation money. I am taking a week off work and we are going to travel 11 hours away and still be in the same state. I am so looking forward to the vacation come july

We were planning on making a trip to the beach for a few days but found out that the pipes under the house need replacing so I guess this will be our vacation house for a couple of years at least.

No long trips planned this year just a day here in there. Trying to save money for new furniture and pay off more bills

I really need a vacation too. My sister-in-law and I are planning a one week hiking trip to some national parks out west this year. We haven't decided which parks to go to yet. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Yes. I am going to the beach with my family for a week.

One of my sisters and I are going to drive across country to go visit our other siblings in July. We also still have 2 aunts and a bunch of cousins we'll see. I'm super excited as I was not able to go last year. Was going this year with or without my sister.

My "vacation" is the grandkids coming to see me....not the other way around.
Fortunately, they are all grown, and it makes it easy for me, and fun for them to travel.

We plan to rent a cabin in June for a few days and also go see a Dallas football game in October with our cousin.

I have no formal vacation plans as of yet, but I'm sure I'll take a few short trips to the beach this summer.

I wish we could go somewhere. Last vacation was February 2016 and probably the last one for quite a while.

I'm going to Cancun for four nights...all inclusive! I love those words. And for only $150! And I'm going to Las Vegas for five nights.

I need a vacation too but I don't plan to take one until September.

Good luck! Keep in mind a vacation doesn't have to be to a faraway destination; it can simply be a change of scenery a couple towns over doing and exploring new activities :)

Yes I try to take a vacation at least once a year. This year my sister-in-law and I plan to go hiking for a week in National Parks out west. Right now we are thinking very seriously about Glacier National Park because we have heard it has unbelievably awesome hikes to offer.

Only staycations for me this year. We're cleaning up debt following Dave Ramsey's advise. Within the next 6 months or less we will be able to start saving and planning for a vacation. Since hubby and I never had a honeymoon we are likely going to travel alone. We really have no clue where we want to go though.

Everyday is a vacation when you are retired. This summer we will volunteer at the Pioneer Playhouse in Danville Kentucky, the countries oldest outdoor summer theater. It is alot of fun!
