Apparently Supreme Court made a decision that will allow it in states....thoughts?

One state should have as much right as another. I don't think it is a good thing, though. Gambling addiction is very bad.

I don't care. It is no different than buying lottery tickets. Both are gambling.

Minnesota is Full of Gambling already, so much that there is a war with one Casino and the State over fishing rights on one lake. Pure insanity, huge lake on a reservation with tons of resorts owned by others not related to the Reservation. Its pretty interesting to read up about how MN messed this up... and tax payers are now paying for it! Most people don't even know about it who live here. The States will jump on this coz its just more tax for the pockets of the gambling boards! All CROOKS !

Might as well make it legal, they gonna do it regardless.

It's not going to make much of a difference other than making it legal now.

Well gambling is not set up for the people to win. It's like the lottery tickets in my state. When we first had the lottery come to my state there were 2 really big winners (I think $500,000 each) with in a couple of weeks in my home town. There were winners every where and even the scratch off tickets more times than not you would win a buck or two. Now several years later hardly anyone every wins anything including a free ticket. I use to know someone who worked at a gas station and she said she rarely sees a winning ticket any more. Very few and far between. But the people are hooked. They are just sure they are going to hit it big. Not sure why but it's their money.
The sad thing is a lot of them are on welfare and buying the tickets with welfare money. Or they will spend their entire pay check on lottery tickets. Then cry because they don't have any money.

I dedicate the theme song of the tv show The Jeffersons to the US governement!

I heard about this on the news tonight but I'm just wondering if Kentucky is going to let it fly

Doesn't apply to me I don't bet on sports or anything for that matter

I think that it is too little and too late. Online, off shore sites have been operating for a long time, developed a loyal following and offer more privacy. If the government is allowing it to happen it is most likely because they see a chance at getting more taxes to be spent on everything but helping the people out who need it the most. Bovada is an excellent site, bills discreetly, does not share your information with anyone, and takes various means of tender: bitcoin and money orders which are optimal in maintaining privacy. Every state that I have been in has a casino run by and for Indian reservations but the odds at these places are even more advantageous for the house than Atlantic City and Las Vegas. I do not trust online games or video poker games online or in casinos and have pretty much honed in on just sport bets.

I never bet on sports

I think it is great - I won't play often but it will be fun every once in a while to bet while watching a football game.

I personally don't see an issue with it as long as people don't get carried away with it. A bit of gambling for fun is harmless.

Some people can handle gambling just for fun, but the ones who can't can really ruin their life because of it so I'm not sure...
