A friend's mom passed yesterday of breast cancer. Ladies, please do self exams and your mammograms. This could be life saving.

:( My mom died in 1999 from that horrible disease. She didn't want the radiation. She had one breast removed and the cancer kept spreading. She was my best friend in a way. I miss her dearly. :angel11:

My wife is a 12 year survivor because she had a mammogram at the right time.

so sorry for your loss

So sorry to hear of this news. My mom also has stage 4 breast cancer and was diagnosed in 2016. She always got her mammograms done. I feel they misread the mammo because how does one go from being "fine" to having stage 4 within one year? Not possible! But thank God she is doing well and unfortunately is being kept alive my her pills and marijuana for the pain. Prayers for all who suffer from this ugly disease!

Kimber I am like your mom in the sense I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2016. I had surgery, 4 months of chemo, and 36 radiation treatments.

I am a breast cancer survivor. I agree you should definitely get your mammograms and do your self breast examinations.
Each lump I've had in my breast I found by self breast examination even though I was getting annual mammograms. I had chemo but no radiation was required since the cancer was caught early and had not spread. All I can say is God is good! :angel11: :angel11: :angel11: :angel11:

Not yet. Now taking a chemo pill. Still living in absolute terror and worry every day of my life. Just lost a co worker last week to it.

The best thing to do is always get you exams daily to make sure you are clear of breast cancer. Cancer is the worst illness in the world.

I am all for women getting checked out. What I would like to see even more than that... take actions to prevent cancer front developing to start with. There is no reason anyone has to die of cancer.
