What is your favorite late night show. I like Jimmy Fallon. I wish Jay Leno was still on. He was the funniest.
-
I know he has long been gone from TV and I am showing my age, but I loved Johnny Carson. He was a master at being a talk show host. I enjoy some of the present ones when I do watch, but I think Johnny will always be my fav.
-
I really don't want late night shows anymore. I am usually sound asleep.

I must be showing my age too ... I thought Johnny Carson was definitely the funniest. I do like the current ones but some are getting just a bit too political. All late night hosts have always poked at the political system over the years but when they focus most of their show on it ... it stops being entertaining.
-
Like others I enjoyed Johnny Carson, will never forget his last show. But my overall favorite was David Letterman. Watched him years ago when he had a morning show. When he moved to late night I was a regular viewer. Was sorry to see him go.

i don't watch many late night talk shows but i did like Jay Leno and miss him !
-
I used to watch jay leno back in the day . I like to watch saturday night live because of the funny scenes
-
I used to like Stephen Colbert when he was on Comedy Central with The Colbert Report.... he changed a lot since then & I no longer find him entertaining. Seems with The Colbert Report he was "freer" to expand his comedy outside his one-sided political bias, but now he is just so tiresome.
I used to like Jay Leno & David Letterman. Now I am usually asleep late night, so it really doesn't matter any longer.. & when I'm not, thankfully I have a fire stick & all the pay premium movie channels :)

I haven't watched any late night shows since Letterman and Conan back in the day. Not funny at all anymore, and all political. I wouldn't mind a little politics being included if there was any variety allowed, but no, every single show/host enforces the same viewpoints. My time is better spent sleeping.

I really like Stephen Colbert.
-
Don't like any of the new ones except maybe Conan...I watch the old reruns of Johnny Carson on Antenna TV every night...like seeing people that are still alive on there when they were young...see how much they've changed.
A lot of people on there are gone now too.... :confused1:

I like Jimmy Kimmel. But don't watch him every night depends how tired I am
-
Kimmel is a jerk... :bad: :P :bad:
-
I like Jimmy Fallon. Kimmel is cool too. Haven't watched either in a while since I've been going in early for work
-
Johnny carson esp in his houdini costume
-
I 100% agree with you Jimmy Fallon for the win for sure out of all the others.
-
I rarely watch late night shows, just because it takes 30 minutes to go through their routines, I just want them to get to the guests :)
I loved Johnny Carson tho! When he would bust out laughing it was always funny, and I always find it interesting that many of his guests would light up cigarettes and have a drink, and back then it was ok, you wouldnt do that today
-
Love Jimmy Fallon such a talented guy, especially with the music numbers. I recent ones he did one with Luke Bryan about how to say Gyro and with Lin Manuel-Miranda in a canoe. I was a fan of Leno but would really just watch his monologue and whatever skits/bits they had that night, not real interested in the interviews.

Rather than rewrite the same basic thoughts, I'll just quote the wise and truthful dwggs and say "ditto". An occasional political joke in a monologue (like Carson or David Letterman used to do) is funny. But pushing a specific agenda like so many of them do today, I haven't watched late night talk shows in probably ten years. I will catch bits online from time to time, but as far as watching them regularly or having a favorite = nope.

I haven't watched any late night shows since Johnny Carson left the air.
-
I don't watch any of them anymore but never missed Carson
-
Johnny Carson will always be the king of late night talk shows, in my opinion. I enjoyed him even when I was a youngster. He was never really crass or mean to anyone. And any innuendos of a sexual nature were subtle and not tasteless; just silly. :silly:
NRAJOE is right when he says it's fun to see people from the past on those old Johnny Carson shows, many of whom are now deceased. :star:
My favorite now by far is Jimmy Fallon. He's so talented and so funny and sweet. I don't like Jimmy Kimmel at all. He's too nasty for my taste. ::)
:fish:

Looks like Johnny Carson has it, hands down. When I used to watch him, he was always funny. Now I sometimes watch him on Antenna TV if I need a good laugh. After Carson comes Jay Leno. I watched Jimmy Kimmel once when he first took over for Jay Leno. I don't find him very funny, especially since the presidential election. He's downright nasty and too full of hate. Oh, and that "man show" he used to have...that really showed people who he really was-nasty and loved making fools out of other people. I don't find that funny. I find that mean. Did he hurt animals when he was young? I wouldn't doubt it.
As for the others, don't watch. Usually I watch movies or Perry Mason or Animal Planet shows (depending on the night)..
-
I never watch the late night shows, if they can't say some thing nice about our President and act like they are the only ones who know a darn thing. I find them all rather nasty and disgusting.
-
Usually I am not up that late, but I do like Jimmy Fallon!
-
I have to be in a particular mood to watch anyone but I have been frequenting James Cordon. The one I like though is Graham Norton.
-
Like Steven colbert he's funny sometimes. Don't like the beginning of these shows so loud. If I think I'm not tired so I'll watch need to find someth8ng else quieter.
-
I go back to the Johnny Carson days. Now I don't stay up late enough to watch any of them. Besides, here in the east coast, they are tooooo late!!!!!!!!!!! :notworthy:
-
I used to love the late night shows like the jeffersons and Benny hill and all in the family. So funny and you looked forward to watching.
-
haven watched them since carson went off the air
-
It's good for people who are night owls, staying up late is not for me, I'm asleep by 10:30 no later than 11. Then the t.v. is watching me.
-
I like Fallon the most, though Kimmel usually gets the better guests most of the time.
-
Always did like Carson, even as a kid sneaking into watch after everyone else was in bed. I like Kimmel and James Corden (love the carpool singing)
-
The carpool karaoke scenes from Corden is probably the only reason why I tuned into his show. The one with Paul McCartney is definitely the best one so far.
-
I don't watch daytime or late night talk shows. I can't stand listening to a bunch of people talking over each other. I'm turning into an old curmudgeon. Haha!
-
Don't have one, I am asleep
-
Leno was the funniest. Out of any of them, I like Seth Meyers, but frankly none of the late-night hosts make me laugh like the hosts used to.
-
Either Colbert or Fallon. My sister loves Corden though.
-
None of those shows are entertaining anymore.
