It has started out like July Hot, Hotter and way hot.  But at least we have had a few little showers,  it  makes even hotter with the humid air.  But if it should continue all like this  all month   and go into next month it would mean snow in the Mountains and it is really need bad so we  could have a spring run off for the lakes. Man we  have to think ahead.

We took a vacation in July so that month went really fast. Hopefully August and the rest of the summer will go slow.

This summer did fly by...  life goes by so fast!  We been having heat warnings & fires for weeks now... the ashes come through the screens when you leave the windows open at night.  I really need to get solar already, air conditioning is so expensive to run... I was going to research that this month.....ugh.    Can't wait till summer ends... hopefully this winter won't be too wet, because then we'll be having mud slides.   California is a mess... truly.

Time to do more posts... already the 10th! :)

I hate the month of August. I almost always had to go back to school in this month when I was a student, and I'm still used to remembering those times.

loved it as a kid but as you age the humidity is awful making it suck

One third of the way through and so much to get done, in the next two weeks, while the kids are still home. My son and I have replaced all of the rotten wood on our house (facia and eight window frames), caulked two window frames and need to finish caulking and painting. We also need to install a new coolant sensor on his car and redo the directionals on mine. Relatives in this weekend and next will interrupt our work and I have a heavy, but well paying project, on my second job. last weekend was spent moving stuff up to each of the kid's new apartments. Never seems to be enough time. I am ahead of the game on my posts, though. v\Videos have been somewhat plentiful so my balance is growing pretty quick. Humidity is fairly non existent in Colorado and it appears that the temperatures will remain under the nineties for the next ten days at least. Good luck to all this month.

I like summer but not this year. We've had steady downpours every day for a month. Sun, then rain, then high humidity, besides temperatures in the 90s. Rain comes down so hard and such big drops that it knocks the leaves off the trees. Today we're in the low 80s but have had 3 downpours already and it's only 3 p.m. It's getting dark out there again. No relief from rain. Weather is supposed to be like this for another week. I run the AC no more than 3 hours a day because even in the electric budget plan, I pay $130 a month. Humidity has been in the 70% or higher every day too, except for 1 day when it dropped into the low 50% about 2 weeks ago. I'm afraid it's going to be a cold wet winter with lots of that white stuff.

This is one year I can't wait until summer's over. Hubby hasn't gotten any outdoor work done on the house or yard (he hates mowing the lawn anyway). He's busy making his backhoe up to par so he can sell it. He says he no longer needs it since he doesn't work but we don't have decent soil, all shale, and you can't dig shale with a shovel. So no tree or flower plants. Had to cut down ash trees because of the beetle killing all of them. Neighbors wanting him to cut their trees and/or take the wood away (we heat with outdoor furnace). Backhoe comes in handy for that, too. then his friends and neighbors always bring their lawn, ATVs, farm tractors, and even snow blowers here for working on....Oh, well.  Maybe next year. Haven't even grilled outside because it needs a good pressure washing. Wasn't able to do it for the past 6 years.

August has been rough.

Here in mid-west, wayyyy too hot and muggy. Mold and pollen, and air polution causing issues.

Hoping for a very cold winter.

As I said, more babies are born in August than in any other month of the year.

August is already almost halfway over. I am having my first baby in November and am excited so I actually don't mind these next few months flying by.

Congratulations! treasure those last few weeks pregnant too - it is uncomfortable but it is the last time with just baby and you ;)

What is it about time, anyway! We all have the same amount of minutes in the day, so the flying or dragging appears to be all in the perception.  If you are having a great time, it flies, if you are bored, sad, feeling negative vibes, the time drags by.  I must be having a good time because time appears to be moving faster than ever.  Now that I am getting older, I think I realize that time is not going to stop for me and I need to make every minute count!

Here it is -- about the midway point -- of August!  It has gone by fast, but I got the opportunity to travel last week and that always seems to make it fly by quickly.  I didn't want my trip to end!  I left town with the forecast of several consecutive days of rain behind me, but on returning caught two more days of cooling, much-needed rain.  The garden loved it and spring onions, squash and bell peppers are producing.  Rain in August in Texas?  Unheard of! ☂️
