-
Soda is the word I use.
-
I say soda. I heard people call it pop. Never fuzzy drink.
-
I call it Soda pop!
-
I normally say soda. :) :) :) :)
-
I'm from the east coast I say soda.
-
I usually say soda pop just to stop the debate lol
-
I usually say soda, though I've used the term pop before.
-
I ususally say Pop --- but I guess sometimes I say soda or soda pop. I've never heard "fuzzy drink"
-
I say soda but have clients around the country that say pop.
-
Fuzzy drink? That's a new one. Fizzy drink makes more sense to me. Growing up we called it "PoP" in the household. And it seemed most of the neighborhood families I hung around did too. I hear more and more people refer to it as soda now.
-
in Kentucky we say pop
-
Everyone where I live say pop.
-
Soft drinks are referred to as "pop" around my area.
-
in Kentucky its pop
-
i dont know anyone who says fuzzy drink i say either pop or soda
-
I'm from Pennsylvania, so I say soda. I've heard pop is a southern think. Fuzzy drink???!!! That's a new one.
-
Soda or soft drink for me!
-
I say soda. It sounds very weird and old fashioned when I hear someone call soda pop. I have never called it Fuzzy Drink either or heard anyone call it that.
-
definately pop
-
I don't say either. I just call by its name whether its coke, pepsi, tea, lemonade etc.
-
I say soda which is short for soda pop. I never heard it referred to as "Fuzzy Drink."
-
Never heard anyone say "fuzzy drink". I've always said soda.
-
Growing up, I never heard it called anything but Coke or Pepsi until I was older and met some people who had moved here from other places and they said "pop" or "soda." Isn't it funny how it's called differently from different regions. Different strokes for different folks.
-
I grew up on the east coast and when your a kid you pronounce it soder. I still hear some adults calling it that. As I got older, it turned into soda. When I moved to the midwest, I heard pop and I heard sodie. I guess it is what you are brought up on or what area you are a custom to
-
Soda....
-
If I don't know what flavor of carbonated beverage I want or if I am offering to go get one for someone, I say POP. I haven't heard people call it "fuzzy drink"
-
I just always say Coke or the name of the Drink I am ordering. My favorite drink is Dr. Pepper or Mr. Pibb. :)
-
I'm from the east coast I say soda.
I'm east coast as well and say soda. I have never heard the term fuzzy drink either
-
I've literally heard anyone say "fuzzy drinks" in my entire life??? Anyway, I say "soda."
-
I've never heard the description "fuzzy drink." Honestly, I wouldn't have known what the heck they were talking about! Here in Michigan, most of us use the term "pop."
-
I drink soda, pop , and i've never heard it called a fuzzy drink ...
-
I say soda.
-
I never heard of fuzzy drinks. I call soda most of the time.
-
In PA we say soda.
-
It's a regional thing. In the US, the NW and midwest is generally POP, which is what I have always used. The NE and SW is typically soda. And then there's Coke...
I used to have family in Florida, and when I'd visit and ask for a Coke, they'd ask what kind (such as Mtn Dew or Sprite or Dr Pepper, etc). So apparently Coke is a general term for soda/pop. Lol! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
Pop....
-
Pop, rarely soda.
-
soda!
-
We call it soft drinks or either we ask for what kind we want such as Dr. Pepper, Pepsi, Coke or Mountain Dew.
-
I say soda. “Pop” sounds a little silly to me in that case. For those who don’t understand “fuzzy drink” in the post from the OP, I think he/she means “fizzy drink.” That would be an easily made typo because the “I” and “U” keys on a QWERTY keyboard are right next to each other.
-
I usually say cola.
-
I call it junk, but hubby calls it soda, so that is what I buy him. I wish he would quit drinking it . But that is not going to happen at his age. I have not touched it in 60 years, Not since i was 15. Just quit it and never looked back at it.
-
What type of drink or soft drink.
-
Never heard of fuzzy drink haha! I say "pop" and "soda".
-
Definitely soda
-
Soda, I think most people know if you said soda. I think fuzzy is a very new way for saying that.
-
My family always called it 'Tonic' here in the Northeast.
-
I am from Kentucky too but I have always said soda. ^^
-
I will say either pop or soda because I hear one about as much as the other.Sometimes I just use the brand name.I have never heard "fuzzy drink" either.Could you have meant "fizzy drink"?I have heard that one a few times.
-

I noted the same thing about “fuzzy drink.” Make sure you pay closer attention to previous replies.
-
here in California it is soda but when I lived in Kentucky it was coke (and believe you me that got confusing) but where I was born and raised in Chicago it was pop
-

-

I have never even heard of Fuzzy Drink, even from a child. I say soda. Where do the people say pop?
-
Soda is what we call it..............and lol I love it. I don't drink it much because it isn't good for me but if I do it is the kind with real sugar not HFCS. Might not be any different but I think it tastes better and I would rather consume real sugar.
-
None of the above. Maybe I am weird, but I have always called it by the specific drink. A coke is a coke.
-
I always say soda.
-
I've always said soda. My mom sometimes says pop, though.
-

I think you should follow your own advice about paying attention to previous replies. On page 1 of this thread,sak4kat suggested the possibility of the original poster meaning "fizzy drink" before either of us.
-
I sometimes call it pop or soft drink. Very rarely I'll call it soda.
-
I normally say Soda... People in Michigan usually don't call it soda, so I get made fun of a lot! lol
-
I always say Soda or just say the name of the drink I want.
-
I said "pop" for 59 years and then moved to the south. Now it is "soda" but sometimes still "pop" in our house. I don't even know what "Fuzzy Drink" is!
-
Before I moved it was called pop in the area I live now calls it soda
-
We say "soda" in southern Illinois. If you go up north towards Chicago, they'll say "pop." I didn't know that until a few years ago.
That's the interesting thing about linguistics. You can understand almost any of the dialects but they are all unique to their particular regions. I took a course in linguistics in college. It was absolutely fascinating. :icon_rr:

-
It was pop in Illinois. So, to me, it's always pop. My husband says soda.
-
I use either soda or the brand name.
-
I am a MNtan. Most people here say pop. But I spent a summer in WI when I was a kid and everyone said soda. I've been saying soda ever since.
-
It's soda here in the southwest, at restaurants you'll hear "soft drink" but people usually say soda. All my east coast family says pop.
-
Pop.
-
I grew up in the Midwest, so it will always be pop for me. I personally don't drink any pop because I can't stand the taste of carbonation and the excessive amount of artificial sugars.
-
I use soda. My parents grew up in the '60's and they use soda as well. I believe those from the fifties or before called it 'pop'. This was a word I always heard my grandmother say when she'd actually talk about soda fountains. Soda fountains at ice scream shops made 'pop'. It sounds weird now, but to them that lived it, it makes perfect sense.
-
I probably say pop more. Never heard anyone say fuzzy drink
-
I say cold drink
-
I grew up on the West Coast and we said pop. When I moved to the East Coast everyone says soda.
-
When I was growing up, we said "pop"
Now I say "soda", as it sounds more adult.
Originally, wasn't it "soda pop"?
:rose:
-
Soda.... I have never used the term 'fuzzy drink' or 'pop' ever, don't even hear it expressed as such ever.
I do hear 'coke' used generically for any type of 'soda' frequently.
-
I say soda. However, most of my family (who live in Canada) say pop.
-
I say soda but my mom used to say pop when she was around
-
Southern people say POP
-
I used to say "pop" but now I say "soda".
-
I say soda.
-
I use soda
-
I call it soda.
-
:pumpkin: :pumpkin: :pumpkin: :pumpkin: Most of the time I say soda! I do say the name of the soda. Every once and awhile I say soda pop. I haven't heard anybody say fuzzy drink. Which would be strange. :pumpkin: :pumpkin: :pumpkin: :pumpkin:
-
I say soda though either would be correct. you just sound hillbilly saying pop.
-
I think you sound hillbilly saying soda..... :monkey:
-
I call it all coke/ No matter which I am drinking.
-
I am in Florida and most here say soda, but I was raised in the midwest and have always said pop. Never heard of calling it fuzzy drink.
-
Referring to the carbonated soft drink we say Coke, even if it's not a Coca Cola.
-
Growing up in the South it was usually referred to as 'Coke' no matter which soft drink brand it referred to. Coca-Cola had memorable advertising and a local plant in which the family could tour and bring home a six-pack carton.
Among friends and co-workers I would often hear the terms 'soda,' 'soda pop' or just 'pop' used. This would undoubtedly bring about an interesting conversation. I've never heard of 'fuzzy drink' and am wondering if 'fizzy drink' was intended by the OP? The word 'fizzy' is sometimes used with the word 'water' to indicate a carbonated drink.
-
Soda is my answer.
-
I hear people say soda, soda pop, or soft drinks.
-
My family just says soda Lol if it taste like a soda then its a soda here :P
-
I grew up in Minnesota calling it, "Pop".
-
Just soda for me and my whole family unless its coca cola or something then we just say the brand name.
-
I think most people ask for a POP in my area. I personally use both terms, POP and SODA, when I want a carbonated beverage like a Diet Coke.
I have not heard anyone say Fuzzy Drink.
-
I say soda in AZ. Relatives from east coast all say pop. I've never heard anybody say "fuzzy drink" in my life.
-
I say soda unless I am actually describing the carbon in the drink then I say fizz. My dad is from the '60's and actually says Soda Pop. Whenever he says this I always look at him like, 'what the heck is that.'
-
Growing up in NY it was soda (and the older folk soda pop or pop), moving south everything is a coke. Basically in the south you drink either tea (and that would be sweet ice tea) or coke
-
For me is Soda and that is it. I had never heard about Fuzzy Drink, Pop I have heard before but not too often
-
I say Soda today, but I think in the early 60's they used to say pop...
-

I agree with what was said above about fuzzy drink. That implies things were growing on it. I'm sure they meant to say fizzy drink. And it probably was a typo.
As for the Coke or pop, that is dialect from different parts of the country. In Chicago, they say pop. In southern Illinois, I only hear it called soda, or Coke for specificity.
:fish:
-
I actually say water tea or beer. Lol
-
I usually say Soda
-
I'm from PA and we call it soda.
