It would be interesting.  I couldn't believe it when she revealed that Jock Mahoney repeatedly sexually assaulted her when she was young.  I loved him in Yancey Derringer but now see him in a different light.

I don't  know if I will read it, but I loved all of the movies they played in together. They were made for each other on the screen.

I probably will read it once it gets to the library.   I would like to hear her perspective on Burt.  Burt claimed Sally was the love of his life.

I found it interesting that she said she was glad Burt won't be able to read her book upon his passing.  They undoubtedly had chemistry on screen which can make a relationship in private tough for both parties.  Yes, I'm curious about how and what she wrote about their relationship -- that was a different period in American cinema that might be missed by those born sometime in the 1980s and beyond.

Why put it out now, what's the point, it should have been done years ago, so No, I don't care to read about it.

I probably will read it. It seems like she lead a very complex life. Her memoir, "In Pieces" was rated 3 out of 4 stars. and goes on sale Sept 18.  It was actually written by Sally herself.

I am so glad I read this topic.  I had no idea she had put out a new book.  I'm going right from posting to ordering it from my library.  Thank you so much for bringing this up.  Lucky find for me!

About Burt Reynolds, by the way.  I always thought of him in relationship to Florida because his place was right down from my mother's in Jupiter, FL.  The day he passed away, however, I heard he was born/raised in Lansing, MI.  I lived in Lansing 13 years and never knew. My son was born in Lansing.   :star:

Oh, you struck a chord with me on this comment.  Love, love, love the Mamas and the Papas!  Quite a story, too.  Although I didn't read Mackenzie's book I do remember when it came out and the buzz surrounding it.  However, I was always riveted by what Michelle Phillips had to say about those 'times.' 🎼

I enjoy biographies so if I do come across it I will read it.  You get such a different perspective on
people when you hear their back stories.  I enjoy her tv and movie work.
