Besides having to go to the bathroom or go to work, what keeps you going? I don't really have one anymore. Now that my horses are gone, there is no reason to get up or go outside. They were my reason to get up and get outside every day. I had 2 of my granddaughters visit for the summer and they were a reason to get up but, they have gone back home now.

I dont enjoy getting up anyway.Thats why i work 3pm-11pm.I do get up early sometimes to have coffee and a bite, but then go back for another few hrs.I dont consider myself a morning person.

I get up out of bed to exercise first thing in the morning... the endorphins become addictive & I miss it when I don't do it. It's hard initially to start up to exercise, but after a couple weeks, it becomes second nature.
That is why it is important for people to have companion animals... like a dog or a cat -- or like your horses, it gives people a reason to get up.

Life is too short to sleep it away.

Waking up makes me happy that I am alive

Things to do, places to go. I am not one for staying in bed, maybe because I was not able to for the longest time. first going to school, then being a farmer/ranchers wife for years, plus the kids having to get up and go to school. Then being on my own working than then going to school on top of it. It just i never seemed to have the time to sty in bed.

To me everyday is a gift.I don't want to waste it lying in bed!Exercising in the morning does help me get up earlier. :rose: :rainbow: :peace:

I have children, grand-children, and now two great-grand-children.
I believe God gave me this life, and He alone can decide when I will no longer get up.
I am sorry you are not happy. We all go trough times like that.
Have you thought of moving close to those grandkids? They are a great motivator.

:bunny: :cat: :dog: I get out of bed cause I get stiff, doesn't make much of a difference if I toss and turn. I must get out of the bed. I do move to a chair or the couch and still relax. I just get tired of being in the bed. :bunny: :cat: :dog:

I get out of bed to take my dog to the bathroom. My dog always wakes me up in the morning when ready.

The main reason I get up promptly in the summer and fall is to tend my garden. I grow pumpkins every year, and their flowers only bloom once in the early morning, so I get up early to make sure they are pollinated, do some watering and such. It's a good incentive to keep my sleep schedule on track.
I try to remember to be grateful for the life God has given me even on days when I'm not feeling very well. I find that, if I can, getting out of bed and doing something, anything will make me feel a little better just by distraction.

I have a ulcer on my tailbone. I'm in a wheelchair most of the time that's how I got it. The nurse 2ants me to lie on my side most of the day. So hard makes me tir3d watching TV or on the tablet. Would rather stand to get weight off it so will do that .

Because if I don't get out bed, and just give up, 'they' win. Some days, it's just sheer stubbornness that keeps me moving.

I get up every morning because every day brings me closer to my goals. Everyday holds the chance of hearing about triumphs my son, daughter or wife have accomplished. I get up because two of the loves in my life, my golden retrievers, need to stretch their legs and go to the bathroom. I get up to smell the fresh air, drive my old jeep, see people smile, learn new things, and provide support/love/an open ear to anyone who needs me. I live my life in the service of others which helps me find myself. My days are incomplete with out someone drawing happiness from merely interacting with me and the positivity I always aim to provide. If I can create just one smile my whole day has been a success. If I learn something it is so that I can share the knowledge with another.

I'm curious as to what the Lord has in store for me for the day...

I get up because I look forward to a new day everyday. I have things to do and places to go. And I have to feed the parrot.

Trust me. You shouldn't want a snooze button. Such a thing can reinforce you to sleep in too long. We humans are supposed to be able to sleep more at night and not need more than 10 hours of sleep.

Have thought about it but, my dad sank all his money into an addition on our house after my mom had several strokes and he had to move back so I could help take care of her. So, I can't really sell my house as long as he is alive, even though, he only spends 24 hrs here and the rest of the week at The Girlfriend's.

My pooch.

I have my daughter who is 17. And my husband. And God. Most days that's enough.
-
A good reason to get out of bed is because I am "ALIVE and HEALTHY" ... what more can one ask for? :)
-
My reason to get out of bed besides work and bath room are my children to eat and try to enjoy life. Life is hard at times but there is still some good in life also if you make the effort to find it or enjoy it.
-
I'm in school now, so I wake up eager and hopeful I'll do my best.
-
My cats. That's about it. Otherwise, I like to lie in bed indefinitely.

At 65 with my husband gone I am like you left with not too much of a reason to get out of bed but my unmarried grown son lives with me and he makes me get up and makes me breakfast. I guess it is a good thing or I would just stay there. I hope and pray all of us will have a reason to get up.........I feel like I am wasting the rest of my life. Here is to better ad happier days for all of us and reasons to get up. :rose:
-
To see a new day that the Lord has let me see, so I can thank him for letting me see another day.
-
Do surveys that I can't cashout.... :bad:
-
To see another day and because I'm able to. Some people would like to get up and can't so I'm enjoying it plus my back starts to hurt if I lay down for a very long time. I usually take a nap during the day but I always get up in the morning unless I'm sick.

LIFE! Every second in our life is beautiful and important!
-
Waking up everyday is my reason to get out of bed everyday. Enjoy life .
-
I have more reasons to get out of bed now at the end of my life (I am 71) than I ever had. I have so many projects going, charity ones as well as self-gratifying ones, I jump right out of bed to get to them ASAP.
-
To see the beautiful day that God has provided for all to see and enjoy.
-
I'm a morning person and love to get up really early to start my day with the sunrise
-
To take my son to work that is pretty much it and the fact that he lives with me, insists I get up and makes me breakfast. I appreciate him but if I never saw another scrambled egg it would be too soon.
-
Cats meowing to me that their cat dishes are empty. Have to get up and feed them, then make coffee to stay awake.
