I attended public school in elementary than parents put me in private school. To be honest, there was no difference. Private schools had bullies as well. It was just more structured and we prayed. :angel11:

I attended both private and public schools. I was in public schools through eighth grade. For high school I went to a private school mainly because of Bullies and needing a smaller class size. :rose: :peace:

I went to public schools from kindergarten to 12th grade.
-
I went to public schools, but my husband tells stories about how cruel the nuns were in Catholic school.
-
Public schools. When I went there wasn't much bullying. There were a lot of "clicks" but I don't recall any bullying. Even if there had been I don't think my parents were in a financial position to put us in private schools.
-
I attended public schools. The only private school around was a catholic school. I was raised baptist.

I went to public school as a child. My oldest son has paid dearly to keep four his children in private schools, but they have experienced bullying as well, even to the point of death threats. How sad. :confused1:

I only attended public school.
-
I went to public school, and there were bullies, but I think there were/are bullies everywhere. At least back then you could leave them at school.
-
I attended both public and private schools as a child. I'm not sure what all of the bully references in this thread are about. There is no "bully free" system. I would guess that there are even more bullies in the private schools than in the public schools, but I could be wrong.
-
I attended a private grammar school and a public high school.
-
I attend public school growing up.
-
I went to public school. Of course there were always cliques and a few no good kids but I never saw any of this extreme death threat bullying you hear about today.
-
I attended public elementary and public high school. Those days were so different back then. Today's kids have no respect and should all be in private or catholic schools. Just my opinion.
-
I went to public school. I researched online and they said a few of the differences between public and private school is class size, and student to teacher ratios, is considerable. In public schools, the average class size is 25-30 kids, compared to 19 kids per class in private school. Also private schools comes out on top with ACT test scores.
-
I attended public school. Interestingly, my niece and nephew now attend single sex private school. This is despite the fact that both parents are products of public school.
-

I went to public schools way back in the late 40's on.
Best schools you could want.
We were taught un-altered history, foundational principals of this nation and the Constitution.
We had teachers before the teachers' unions, who did not let their politics or personal beliefs influence the objection learning, and goal to produce intelligent, informed adults, ready for the world.
Grateful for that experience.

I went to public schools all my life ( 10 to exact) first grade lived with grandparents as my family lived way out in the boonies, no bus service. Then we moved to town, 2nd grade in one school . 3thrd, in another as one school burned and we had to be shifted, then back to my second grade school. spent the 3th and 5th. there. then on to another school. spent 1 year there then went into middle one year there and then we moved to Ohio. My stepfather was a logger and we went wherever the logging jobs were. I had never really ben bullied until then. And it was not the kids it was the teachers, the dummies could never get it straight that New Mexico was a state.
-
All public schools. I don't think private schools really had convenient qualification of Special Ed teachers if at all.

I went to public schools in a large city and they were a complete mess. I learned how to fight-period. I was in all of the advanced math and english classes which wasn't saying much. I was out of middle school for four months due to a teacher's strike which gave me time to hit the gym prepare for the bullies. My high school was one of the first to implement forced integration so I was glad for the many beatings I received in middle school because a whole new level of violence erupted when kids were shipped to my school that did not want to be there. We had metal detectors at every door. I was suspended three times for protecting myself and my parents decided, after the third suspension, that living in the suburbs was a better idea.

:bunny: :cat: :dog: I attended a public school. I think that it depends on your parents which schools kids attend. I had some bullies, but not that many. I'm unsure which school would be better than the other. :bunny: :cat: :dog:

I went to public school for all of my schooling. But, that was back when public schools actually taught you something and didn't revise history.
-
I attended public school. I grew up on a farm in a rural area with small towns that consolidated together to form schools.
I rode the bus about 8 miles when I went to grade school in Auburn and 5 miles when I went to High School at Lake View.
Today the school has 4 towns consolidated together to meet the education needs of the area.
-
I attended private school for a few years in middle school. For me the private school was better. There was no bullying. Small class sizes.
-
I went to Catholic school up to 5th grade. My mom then decided she and my dad were paying too much so we all went to public school. I did well in both schools. However I must say there was more discipline in the Catholic schools. Don't really know how it is now. I went to school in the 60's.
-
Public from K to 12. :D

When i was growing up i went to public school

I went to public school. In high school I was home schooled for a couple years.

I attended public schools all of my life. At one time I wished I went to private, but I am glad that I stayed local and were friends with all my friends for life.
-
I attended public school, but I wouldn't have mind going to a private school because they are smaller and I think I would have felt more comfortable because I was a shy kid.
-
Public for elementary school, private for high school.
-
All classes were in public schools. The education is relatively, the same.
-
From Kindergarten until about 3 or 4th grade I went to private school. After that I went to public school until I graduated high school.
-
I attended only public schools.
-
Public school. I'll never understand why anyone would send their kids to a private school. You're paying for school in taxes.
-
I attended both. Was bullied in both but especially in one catholic elementary school.
-
I was homeschool until second grade, then I went to public school.
-
Public school. When I was growing up I doubt there was even a private school to go to in my town unless it was at the Catholic church and if so I was not aware of it. My two sons went to private school a couple of times but to be honest I didn't find them any more satisfactory than the public school so I moved them back and then my husband and I home schooled them which worked out very well.
-
public all the way..
-
I went to public school and enjoyed those years. I sent my oldest son to private school until grade 7 and it was a huge adjustment for him going to public. He said it was like a different world.
