I've never had the flu shot and have never had the flu. Regular exercise keeps your immune system ready to go.

I am not a big supporter of the flus shot or shots for shingles. I have gotten the flu shot once in the last fifteen years and got the flu the same year that I got the shot. I have had the flu four additional times during that fifteen year period. My wife has gotten the flu shot all fifteen years and had the flu nine of those fifteen years. I am typically working in a very closed environment during the day, work from home at night (and on weekends)and wash my hands frequently so my exposure to the flu virus is minimal. I also exercise frequently and eat fairly healthy meals which I think boosts my immune system. My doctor called yesterday, after a blood test, provided my results which have mirrored my results for the last twenty years and wanted to put me on cholesterol medicine. I told her I would pass for another twenty years.

I take the shot, because my son has a breathing problem so he will not get sick. If it was just me in the house I would not get it.

I have never had a flu shot, they make you feel really bad, at least that's how I see my Aunt feels when she takes them, she looks like she has the flu after taking that shot.

I've gotten my flu shot yearly for many years!  I usually get mine in October but have occasionally slipped past October and into November.

I've never gotten one before but I do know the new flu shot has two key differences from last year's.  The nasty H3N2 strain that sickened many people last year has been updated, and the influenza B virus targeted for protection in the vaccine has been changed. It's been stated that the new vaccine is performing better than last year's. Still haven't decided if I'll get one.

I have been getting the flu shot since about 2010.I got this year's shot last week.Usually I don't have any problems with the shot. This year I had a little soreness and itching at the injection site for a few days, but that's still better than the flu.

When I have gotten the flu shot, I get quite sick.....when I get the pneumonia shot, I get bronchitis.

I am sooooo much healthier without the shots. Remember to fully research what they put in the shots, like "hair of the dog" etc.

I got a hepetitis shot years ago, as I helped work with some folks that had hepetitis.  It almost killed me.

Lots of folks get shingles after the shingles shot.  Not doing that.

I am a healthy person, in part because I avoid many of the pharmaceuticals prevention claims....remember they are out to make money.

A few people may have a reaction or allergy to the shot.  That is the way it is with many things.  I have had a flu shot each year for 16 years and only had a mild, 24 hour reaction once. I also have only gotten the flu once in those 16 years. The flu shot has several different strains in it every year but the virus is always modifying itself and changing so it an educated guess by the CDC which one will be prevalent in the general population.

Also, getting a flu shot is just not about you.  Another reason to immunize is about other people.  Those who are older or quite young or have compromised immune systems can easily get very sick if exposed.  You see that each year some people die from the flu and they even aren't always old, very young, or already compromised.

I'm required to get one for my job. I'll be getting one this Thursday. I've only once had a bad reaction to it, and that was just exhaustion. I say, it's better than getting the flu, right?

I have taken it twice and that was years ago.  Each time my arm was sore for a week and I couldn't even raise it to touch my head.  I take vitamins, wash my hands often and pray.

I have never taken one and have not had the flu.  My husband takes the shot every year and comes down with the flu every year.

Seems that most people who get the shot get sick.  Then they say oh well if I had not got the shot it would have been a lot worse.  NO, if you had not got the shot you probably would not have gotten sick.

I have never had the shot.  I have never had the flu.

I've never had the flu shot and I never will. Anytime any of my friends or acquaintances suggests the shot, I invite them to go right ahead.  Let me know how it all works out for you.

My immunity and general health is very good.  That does not happen by chance, I am very pro active with my health.

I will never get the flu shot! My grandfather got a flu shot some years ago and within a month later passed away. My grandfather was very healthy and very active his entire life. Do we really know what they are injecting us with? Just think about it. I rather eat as healthy as possible and exercise than put toxic chemicals in my system.

I caught the flu20 years ago and never caught it again. So come to think of it, I just might get the flu shot because think of it like this. We are going to be around other people whether it be at work, grocery stores, sick people that we may not know is sick and are at risk. They are giving you the strain of the flu to boost the immune system and get it ready attack whenever we get exposed if that makes any sense to you.

I don't plan on getting one. I only got the shot once in recent years, and came down with the flu right afterwards. I'm not sure if I was already infected anyway, or if the shot actually gave me the flu. But I figure if I'm going to maybe get the flu, I can at least do it for free.

I do not get them.  I'm supposed to, old, lung issues, etc.  But, I've heard so much about a connection between shots and Alzheimer, I don't need any help with that.  My dad seems to get sick after he gets his shot and, I know, all the medical people say it's not possible but, a LOT of people I know have that happen.  So, I guess I don't believe the medical people when they tell me that.
