I went to Safeway one day and I wrote a check. The cashier was surprised because people rarely use it. But if i'm going to spend money on the checks, Im going to use them.
-
I have one place, the hairdresser that I use a check for. My little 25 pack of checks has been in there for almost 3 years. I go only every 2 months LOL.
-
LOL - I am a dinosaur as I still write checks
-
I don't write checks often at all. However, I like to have them handy. I have written checks to my grandchildren before on special occasions. The reason I do that is because those gift cards in the store charge a fee.
-
I still use checks to pay some of my bills.
-
We used checks for almost everything like paying bills. My husband is a banker and he wants it to be a traditional way to avoid many problems.
-
I use checks to pay my bills.
-
Pretty much only for my rent lol
-
The only time I write a check is when I can't pay on line or pay by debit/credit card.
-
I honestly can't remember the last time I wrote a check. I still have some in my purse, but the address on them is from 3 moves ago! It's easier and faster to pay online.
-
Yes, sometimes, but my husband do all the time.
-
yes on my mortgage only though.
-
I have only used a check a few times in my life. I think no more than five times and I think four out of the five times that I used a check was for direct deposit. It takes too much time to write checks when you can just swipe your card.
-
I haven't used checks in years. However I had two things come up where I needed to either pay by check or pay my bank for a cashiers check so after years I just went ahead and got a small order of checks which will probably LOL last me the rest of my lifetime.
-
The only time I write checks these days is to charities. All purchases I make with my debit card.
-
I am old fashioned and pay all of my bills by check. Once in awhile I will use my debit card out of town, and my house payment is auto pay along with dad's phone bill, I have a couple of things happen while using my debit card so am very careful about where I use it. Use my credit card to order on-line or my paypal .
-
I don't even have checks on hand. I use cash or debit card to pay bills or make purchases.
-
I do not carry checks with me and can't remember the last time I used one. I probably wouldn't even remember how to fill one out! I actually feel like I'm doing something wrong if I pay with cash or a check because I don't get to take advantage of the benefits I would get if using a credit card. That's crazy! I can remember the first time I ever heard of a little plastic credit card and how it worked. It sounded like science fiction, and I was amazed to hear that this type of payment was going to be a "real" thing!
-
I still use checks to pay rents and other bills that might come from other sources..
-
no i don't use checks anymore but wouldn't rule them out
-
I still use checks, mostly when paying for things at my son's school.
-
There are still a couple of places I either pay by check or cash, small business my hairdresser. It is amazing the fees a small business gets hit with for credit cards. I also have a personal issue with using a card for less than $5. I was behind a lady in a store today buying a $2.00 bag of chips with a card.
-
I write checks only for my utilities bill, presents for nieces, charity donations. pretty much everything else is on auto pay.
-
Most of my bills are paid online. However I still write checks for groceries, prescriptions and charity contributions. :present: :peace:
-
Yes. I write them to pay for rent.
-
yep medical bilsl and car pymnts
-
I still use checks to pay bills.
-
I write checks for things I cannot pay online and for several bills. I also use them in birthday cards.
-
I only use Checks to pay our Hired Help. I never keep any Cash on hand to pay them. I have to be able to keep track of their earnings. Other than paying our Help with Checks, I do not use them for any other reason. I always use my Debit Card for everything else. :)
-
Only for people who work around the house.
-
I write checks out as money gifts for young folks in family graduating, getting married, baby shower, etc.
-
I use checks for a few things such as church and gifts to my Godkids.
-
Occasionally. If it's something that has to be paid by check. But I prefer not to use them just cuz they're inconvenient. Lol
-
Yes, I know it's a thing of the pass but it works for me; I keep better records that way.
-
Occasionally we still write checks, for mailing certain bills.
-
Yes and I dont know why! I guess I feel as though I can keep better track of my money this way. I would be dangerous with a debit card!
-
I do write checks for some of my bills that I have to mail out. Most of the time I use my debit card when I make my purchases.
-
I think I wrote out one check in 2018. I have gotten away from writing checks. It's strange when I see someone writing out one.
-
I have autopay for the bills. I write once yeack a year to the local historical society. All my other historical societies are lifetime memberships but the local one started up after I was no longer working so I couldn't afford lifetime.
Hubby writes one check a month from the joint account...to receive money from his Social Security. He has a separate account that he write his 2 separate checks out for his bills every month.
-
Call me old-fashion: I love to use paper checks.
Why? Accounting ledgers do not lie. It is all in the books.
Computers do lie with so many glitches...it is difficult
to locate where the errors are.
-
Sometimes i do to pay hospital bills.I don't trust their site.
-
I havent used paper checks in a long time, not to say I never will again.
-
Yes, I use checks to pay most of my bills. Nothing wrong with being old school! LOL
-
Very rarely do I write checks. I may only write 5 or so a year. Most things I pay online or have auto withdraw from my account.
-
I have only one place I frequent that takes only checks or cash and that is my hairdresser. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't need them at all for anything.
-
I have never used a real check, but I do know how to.
-
I have some bills that I have to mail so I write checks for them. I never write checks at stores anymore. I just use my debit card at stores.
-
I been stopped using checks.
-
Every once in a while I do. If I'm in a store I just use my debit card, but I have used checks when I have to attach them to sign up forms. Though even that is becoming fewer and farther in between. I consider writing a check when I make a charitable donation as well.
-
Not personal checks in a long time , just counter checks or money orders .
-
I need to order more. It's been years since I got new checks because I rarely use them. The last check I wrote was a few months ago because I had to renew my passport so I had to send a check. I might write a check once every six months.
