I do. Some of these tax preparation places charge so much. In the past I have filed taxes for friends to save them money too.
-
My wife is a CPA and she takes care of our taxes. I at least know the person doing the taxes has a stake in getting them right.
-
I do. The amount I get back is not enough to pay someone else to do them.
-
We used an accountant since along time ago. My husband taxes is tricky because its commission base and he got a gas deduction. Its better to be safe and right to file our taxes.
-
When I do my taxes I use turbo tax.
-
Yes. The tax preparing places are out for the government not for you the tax payer. Besides that it is not that hard. just use turbo tax or something like that and answer the questions. Why pay half your refund to get somebody to do that for you.
-
Yes, I have filed my own taxes. A CPA did them when I worked with him but since then I have done them myself. I have used TurboTax in years past. I now use a free software.
-
Not anymore, I need all the help we can get.
-
No. I use a tax agency to do my taxes...
-
Yes, I file my own.
-
i buy the hr block software and then do my own my borther and his roomate and my friends

My husband does ours and then I go over them before sending them off to make sure he has not missed any deductions or forget to add anything he should have. 2 heads are better then one. When it comes to the taxes. When we first got married he forgot to add in some stocks we sold. IRS sent a letter saying we owed $1600.00. What shock so I made payments on it. Then after we paid it all in when got a check from them saying we had paid $900.00 too much. So he was wrong and they were wrong. Was nice to get that back. So we do a lot of double checking any more.
-
No, haven't worked in years, so I don't file.
-
My spouse does ours the old fashioned way by hand, with tax forms.
-
I don't do the taxes. However, my husband does ours on the computer. Glad he knows how to do this because it saves us some money.
-
I have been filing my taxes for a couple of years now and I love it. My taxes are easy to do so I rather do them myself and keep all of my money. There are also places that do them for free. I don't like to pay someone to do something that I can do for myself.
-
turbo tax is always good for me
-
I have always did my own taxes.
-
I used to file our taxes but when went with an accountant over the past few years. He has been able to get more money back for us than I ever could.
-
I always did them myself but as the e-file came to be the way, Turbo Tax has the free online to file the simple return and that worked well quick and fast
-
No, I can't do it because my math skills are retarded & so bad! I let my Older sister do it, because, she had banking & financing skills.

You do not need math skills. All you have to do is go to irs.gov and I am pretty sure they have everything on their site. You just answer the questions. Or use one of the other softwares that has been mentioned. It isn't like it use to be when you done it on paper with a pencil and you had to add and subtract lines. You just in put the info and the computer does the rest. :)
-
Yes, I do. It's cheaper and easy for me to complete.
-
Yes I use turbo tax. Back in the day I would do it by hand.
-
Hmmm we might have to do this soon. Being disabled.
-
I have not filed taxes in years as I don't have any taxable income
-
We have an Accountant to do our Taxes because we are Farmers and Self-Employed and there are so many Forms to fill out. I do not understand a lot of the Forms, so we just let our Accountant handle our Taxes.
-
I have used Turbo Tax before
-
I have always done my own taxes, even when the only way was by mail. Now I use an online tax preparation service that is simple.
-
Yes, I file my taxes online. They lead you through the whole process so it's easy and a lot less expensive.
My youngest son, who can ill afford to, pays somewhere between $100 and $200 every year to file his taxes. I can't convince him to even try doing it online.
Go figure. :dontknow:
:fish:
-
i have never done so myself...but i will this year as i have to file my insurance on my husbands social security check as a subsidy..
-
I do them myself, but I use TurboTax to do it to make sure I get it right, or at least as close to right as I am capable of doing.
-
No, I use an accountant; not that my taxes are complicated but I prefer to have a professional who is up on any tax law changes; that is not me!
-
I'm filing my own taxes this year
-
Yes, my husband does ours.
-
I have always filed my own taxes. With mine being so simple, I don't know why anyone would do it any other way. But my goal is to create more income from multiple sources where I am forced to pay someone else to do it.
-
Online sites make it easy to file your own taxes.
-
No. Too afraid I will mess up something.
-
I probably could if I wasn't so fearful of the IRS; it looks like just plugging the correct numbers onto the correct lines.
-
Yes. I started filing my own taxes after my regular tax preparer passed away a few years ago. I've had no problems so far.
-
No,we are using an agency.I want to be sure i don't have to pay money later.
-
We usually do our taxes ourselves using turbo tax.
-
I Have had my taxes done by a CPA for about 4 years now. I like the idea that he knows what he is doing and can maximize my deductions, etc. I know it costs me more, but that's okay. I guess the price you pay....
-
I have mine done it, is just easier, that way.
-
Yes. I have always filed my own taxes. The programs are so simple to use, I really don't understand why people would pay to have them done.
-
Yes, I find it pretty easy to do myself. I don't know why some people make such a big deal about it.
-
No, I do not. Because of my job, I get my taxes done for free at a local facility. However, I would love to learn how to do them myself (for free) to avoid driving to the appointment and waiting for several minutes.
