We lucked out most of the winter with hardly any snow. This morning we woke up to 4 inches and we are expecting another 4 to 8 Sunday. And I thought spring was right around the corner :(

We only had a dusting this year and I'm glad about that.

Yeah We had a few inches yesterday and tonight is supposed to be another 5-8 inches. I know spring is close but winter does not want to leave yet

We did not get any snow this year. In fact we only get snow every 4 to 10 years anyway. Its pretty but I prefer not to have any.

it's not to bad yet but the day is not over with and i am not sure what is coming tonight the ground is covered but the roads look ok right now

You must live near me because our forecast is the same as yours. We had next to no snow the whole winter, just a few inches here or there, and here comes March with a big 9 inches due here tonight! What a surprise. I can't believe I already started the seeds for my garden indoors and it's going to snow outside.

I really feel for you guys who are getting blitzed by the snow. I'm in central south west location here in north Texas and we're feeling it in the plunging temps down to bitter cold single digits. It's sweeping across this area from northwest to southeast with some precip ahead of it, but we won't be catching any wintry mix.

Well, don’t expect snow to go away just yet. We still are not that close to the next equinox.

we haven't had much snow this winter which i am happy about. we were suppose to have 6+ inches yesterday and ended up with about 2 inches.
and yes it is snowing again right now maybe 3-6 inches but i live by the water and it will change to rain at some point.
time will tell

We are lucky we don't experience that, we have only cold weather. Living near the beach in East Coast is really good.

Snow, snow, and more snow. I don't mind it so much. It is the COLD that is getting very old. Windchill advisories are almost daily this winter.

We had a little bit of snow yesterday but not much. It barely covered the ground. We have not really had much at all this year either.

I'm hating this winter, but I've only had to miss one day of work so far so I guess it hasn't been terrible. Just cold and wet outside. I'm personally sick of it.

My area got lucky Sunday/Monday. We were right on the 1-3/3-6 inch line. Luckily I only woke up to about 2 inches. Come on Spring ... I'm ready for some nice weather.

We had some flurries last night. But it was so warm
that they disappeared once they hit the pavement.

Snow will not stay for long, you are much warmer than us in the north.

I am originally from the North, so I sympathize with those who are still experiencing winter weather in March / April. I am currently living in the South, so unfortunately I cannot relate. Yes, I said unfortunately, LOL. I prefer the cold over the heat. Meh, what can I say? :)

It is hard to tell which Season we are in anymore. One Day it is so cold and on another Day it is so Hot. This Weather keeps me sick all of the time.

Ugh. My husband told me that yesterday. I'm hoping and praying it falls apart or diverts elsewhere. I was so happy to see tiny green plants peeking out of the dirt the other day. :(

Wow.. just when you get a taste of spring and the nice weather .. Mother Nature pulls a fast one on you. Hopefully it will be your last snow storm for the season.

I hope that will be the last winter storm, just keep fingers cross, and depending on where you are in located.

My daffodils are up, and now we have a blizzard warning for Wednesday and Thursday, 12 inches possible. UGH!

Where I live isn't supposed to get snow, but here's how the weather is going this week: today in my area it got up to 80 degrees for the first time in 5-6 months, but later this week the lows will be below freezing (but thankfully above zero). I just want the weather to make up its mind already.

It started snowing here about noon today. Two days ago it was 65 degrees and sunny. ::)

We had up to 12" of snow forecast, but so far it has been sleet and ice *bleep*. We are now in a Ice Storm Warning with only 2-4" of snow, but ice and up to 50 mph winds. The ice will be far worse and cause more damage to trees and be more dangerous for driving.
I'm hoping the system fizzles out without any more ice......needed to scrape windows after work tonight.

wish i could go to canada. ive heard some really great things about the people there. down here, not so much. dont let the southern hospitality sign foolyou. its not there. but the heat is. 8

Snow came again yesterday in Colorado. Thankfully, it wasn't as bad as they were predicting. Should melt pretty quick.

I do feel for those in the northeast who have been baraged with snow this winter. And the storm that melted and caused so much damage in NE. They are really getting it on both sides now with the northers snows melting and flooding the down stream states.

Wow! Old Man Winter just won't let go for many of you. It looks like we've dodged the bullet for any kind of wintry or icy weather in north Texas this time around. The buds are out and it's already reached into the 80s. Yesterday the wind was most annoying and so strong that it would seem as though we are still in the month of March!

We have been under ICE STORM warnings since yesterday. It was nasty today and over 200 power poles are down in a nearby area. My town is doing ok. The ice is melting so hopefully tomorrow will be better.

please appreciate the snow. i realize snow can be dangerous in excess, but we had tornadoes down here yesterday, and boy was it rough. I would rather deal with snow. at least if it happens at night, you know what its doing. but a tornado at night, well you dont know which way its coming or see it unless its doing some bad lightning.

I drove to Iowa over the weekend. East from my southwestern Minnesota town to my daughter's home, there was a lot of snow on the ground and ice was melting and falling off the trees, fence posts, and power lines. As we traveled south, the snow amounts got less and less.
I am back home and we still have snow on the ground, although it is melting rapidly.

I got so tired of winter lasting 6 months up north, moved down to Florida and just don't miss digging my car, or the sidewalk out of all that snow.

I love this post and I am jealous!
I am from SE Pennsylvania and although we didn't get "nailed" with snow this year, we did have a few wet and heavy storms as well as a lot of icing so living in sunny FL is more and more sounding like a future plan!

I guess it is time to get out there and enjoyed the summer as it arrives, the next thing to look out for the bad drivers who is in a rush going nowhere, as the summer breeze appears.

You're right...tornadoes too. But we know for everything there is always a trade off.

This discussion about weather trade offs is interesting -- tornadoes v. hurricanes. We're in tornado alley in north Texas so that is always a threat, however, we can get the aftereffects of hurricane activity, too. It's usually rain and high winds, but you would be surprised how far inland those winds can push.

I have never been to that part of the states before, but my hurricane experience in the Caribbean was enough to don't want to be in its path.
Hope this year will be not be too bad.

Winter is gone...spring is here.
Still we are having light snow showers this morning.

in all sorts of weather there are risky elements, i guess you just have to sit up and pay attention to weather reports and common sense even though those things dont always work either have a nice weekend.
