I used to be a much more frequent impulse buyer. I have become much more disciplined in the last 10 years or so. Shopping used to be my therapy. I do have a problem in the remodeled Target here in town because their health and beauty department is awesome. I have to be careful there.
-
Yes I have to admit I am. If I'm shopping and see something I really really love/want I will buy it.
-
No I have to stick to a budget.
-
Not really. Depends on the items. If it is a really good deal or something new and really cool.
-
Yes, I am! I'm getting much better at stopping the impulse to shop and buy but it is a struggle!
-
No, since retiring some years ago, I have become even more discipline then I was when I was working full time. I like to comparison shop, so that helps.
-
I hate shopping so I mostly stick to needed list
-
Personally, I prefer saving and earning over spending. I spend when necessary.

Several years ago impulse buying was definitely more of a problem for me. I didn't buy too many things that way, but I bought enough that I didn't need and loss some money on to teach me to have more discipline in how I shop. I now have committed myself to saving more and spending less. Besides I want to be careful since we have some larger expenses that we'll need the money for like a washing machine and car repairs.
-
Not really unless its a really good buy.
-
I can walk into the store only for a few things and walk out with half the store. If I see a good sale, I will buy the product. I always keep up on the latest sales that go on from week to week.
-
Not really.I am kind of a tight wad when it comes to money and spending.
-
I usually stick to what I am after when I go shopping. However, I have ordered a few items online that just happened to cross my Facebook feed......impulse purchase for sure!
-
Sometimes but less than I use to because of being financially challenged.
-
Yes unfortunately sometimes I am sometimes I’m practical and say oh I don’t need that but then I’ll say something and I’m like oh my gosh got to have that and buy it and then regret it.
-
No, I'm not an impulse buyer.
-
It depends on what the item/service is and if I've been wanting it for a while.
-
I've gotten a lot better at not buying impulsively since getting serious about my goals. Not saying you aren't, but it helps to have a clear perspective of what you want your money to eventually do for you.
-
I am not an impulse buyer but my hubby sure is. He has bought so much stuff over the years, we hardly have any room left to walk in our house.
-
My son would say I am but I say I am not. I mean not totally not LOL but not totally am either. I don't really care either way I am 65 and if I don't buy things I want now when would I?
-
That is one thing I have never been. I have always had a list when I go shopping and stick to it. Now my sister is the world's worst, in fact I refuse to go shopping with her anymore. She has to pick up, touch everything and may go back to it again before she is through shopping. I want to go in get what I want and leave. Not spend three hours in a store and only buy 3 things. You ought to see what her closets look like. and every time she come she comes down from Alaska she brings 3 suitcases of clothes and goes home with 5. It gives me the heebeegeebees in other words I hate the feeling I get shopping with her.
-
No !! never have been. it takes me along time to buy things LOL I will look at something for 2 or 3 months before I will buy it. Do I really need this or don't I
-
No I am not. Really like to research products especially when I am putting out big money. I really think if I need it or not before purchasing.
-
i go by cost but only get things if needed
-
I'm usually good at planning my purchases. I scope out things that I want to purchase in advance (usually weeks or months). I pull the trigger when I'm ready which is probably when a sale is going on.
-
i do impulse buy every once and a while but most of the time it is something i have needed.
pretty much i stick to a budget. :rainbow: :peace:
-
Yes, I am an impulse buyer especially when it comes to my 2 year old grandson, Edison.
-
I am a shopaholic and can not stop! I need to learn not to impulse buy! I have too much as it is!
-

I have a family member that is like that. She orders junk off the tv all the time. She doesn't even have room to set anything else down in her house. lol She needs to have a huge yard sale. And a lot of the impulse stuff she bought off them infomercials she doesn't even like. So it just sits there.
-
I think that I am on the middle, I do not buy just to buy, but when I need something I do go and get it, regardless if I have the $$ or not
-
No, I don't think I am. I buy if it's a real sale.
-
I have a tendency to like to spend but I try to hold myself back. But I only really like to spend on things like coffee, clothing, and music albums.
-
I have to debate it in my head for hours before I push the add to cart and check out button.
-
I was an impulse shopper when I was a much much younger woman. My husband and I both made good money. But when I saw we were spending faster than we were making it didn't take me long to figure out more practical ways of shopping. A much more disciplined way of handling our finances changed my impulse shopping habits for good.
-
No. I generally take days to perform diligent research on anything that I buy. II look at what the competition has to offer and I do open computer searches on everything to make sure that I am getting the best prices. I also check the last three months of consumer reviews on the item that I am buying. I do not buy food on the road unless I have given it a few hours thought (at least). I feel that I have made a good choice once I actually purchase something and typically use the item for longer periods than others who may not have done their research. I also take care of things and rarely, if ever, lose stuff. If something breaks for a silly reason I contact the seller, regardless of how much time has passes since the purchase, and ask for a replacement item or my money back.

I am not an impulse buyer. Sometimes I wish I was because it takes me forever to make a decision on purchasing something. I always feel guilty about spending money on something other than bills or necessities.
-
Yes I am. My daughter likes to window shop. I never go with her because I cannot go just to look around like she does. I have to buy something.
-
Yes I am an impulse buyer but I also stick to a budget. I buy what is on sale, and clearance.
-
Not really.... and I miss out on some good deals having to think about it first. Just recently I thought about it for just one day & then went back & they all were gone - a group of 3 5' palm trees for $14.99 at ALDI'S - I've since tried to consciously improve to become more of an impulse buyer.
-
not really unless it is something on sale that i have been wanting and watching
-
It can be easy to loose control of your shopping. I also have learned in the past several years to be more in control. I don't go into stores unless there is something specific I am looking for there.
-
I would say that I have to think long and hard about what I buy now even though I am in better financial shape now than I use to be when my daughter was growing up. My daughter would always say that we were going shopping because I never would buy anything for me. Now she expects me to buy something for myself when we go shopping.

I don't consider myself an impulse buyer, but like jkhanson, I have ordered several items that I saw on Instagram. It's that targeted advertising that is my downfall. I see the BEST ads on Instagram. If I see something that would make a good present for someone in the future, I am more likely to make an impulse buy.
-
No i;m more of an look and see the price for everything, cheap is for me.
-
Only if I know that the product will be safe for me.
-
After my father passed away this June, I sort of became one...
I had around 400 dollars saved up, all of which I wasted down to around 40 bucks on various sites. It became a lot easier to get out of since I don't have a job. Most my money I earn from these types of survey programs.
So to answer your question; A hesitant yes.
-
Unfortunately, lol. I'm trying not to be, but it's hard.
-
Sometimes I am, but most of the time no. I am not an impulse buyer.
-
Nope. I am like many; a low income worker, so I have to keep a tight budget.
