Title: Anniversary
Post by: ajamimajida on July 05, 2019, 09:20:22 am: 42 years ago today we touched down in Chicago to start our journey. I became a US citizen in 1983 and I am proud to have came here legal.

A family member on my husband's side finally became a US citizen. It took about 25 years. I suppose there are many factors that contribute to how long it takes ( if it happens at all ) before one becomes a citizen.

Congratulations! So glad you took the time to become a citizen I assume that it was not an easy task but I give you alot of credit for putting in the effort.
