Post by: cateyes1 on August 02, 2019, 04:39:21 am
So sad to hear about twins being left in a hot car and died. How does one forget about their children in cars? have YOU ever forgotten your kids? I just cant imagine doing that  :confused1:

That is something I can NOT figure out, how can you forget your children?  You have to be the clueless person or really be distracted and even so.  I do not have little ones anymore but i always look inside of the car before I lock it.  To me that is Unforgettable but then there is people that forget event heir names

Wasn't he there when they were born. That is big time memory loss. My mom always forgot my birthday and I knew she didn't forget. We got to stop that.

It's very sad.  Maybe it was his first time dropping them off to the sitter and the kids were quiet or sleep and he just jumped out the car as usual.  Him and the family will have to carry that for the rest of their lives.  Many years ago someone I know left two kids in the car and ran in to purchase something.  I let them know how wrong and dangerous it was.

I just saw this police bodycam video online last night - posted from a few weeks ago at our local Walmart. This wasn't an issue where a kid was forgotten and left in a vehicle. The driver apparently just locked her keys in the car before getting the kids out and they were only in the hot car for a few minutes.

It is difficult to understand how a person forgets either their children or pet.  It is also difficult to understand why a person would think it is alright to leave a pet or child in a car on a warm day when there has been so much news about the danger of doing so.  Nonetheless, I can not imagine the extreme pain of a parent that has a child who has died and the parent is responsible. Something like this is something you could never forgive yourself for!

Something I read said they were not going to charge him.

NO, I have never forgotten I had any kid with me.  And I get so sick of hearing oh I was on autopilot I can't stand it.  That is just a cop out and an excuse that furthers your cause of not getting in trouble.

I do not have to look inside my car to make sure I did not bring a child with me to town.

lol So we have an autopilot defender here.  I don't care if it was the first time dropping them off.  HE put them in the car.  Now if he is so wrapped up in his phone or his drugs that he forgot he put them in the car...

We need to put him in a cell and "forget" he is there and in a couple weeks we can find him dead and start screaming and crying and say I just forgot.

I cannot fathom on why someone would ever think of leaving their child or pet in a hot car. Take the child with you, and if you cannot take your pet with you, leave it at home.

I couldn't care if I get arrested or not, but if I ever spot a child or pet in a hot car, I will break the car window.

It just makes me sick to think that someone could actually forget about their own flesh and blood. Sometimes I wander if it is an  intentional act. I would leave my Pet at Home before I would leave them in a Hot car to go shopping in an air conditioned building. These People will be Judged by the Hand of God.

I am still trying to wrap my mind around how people forget that they have children in the car ??? and pets generally make noise; so maybe I am missing something!
