Hey peeps. I'm travelling on halloween day to visit my college and am wondering is it a bad idea to wear a costume to the airport? By costume I mean nothing more than wearing my giraffe onesie. The feet are out and everything so I can remove shoes. I see it as no different than wearing pants and a jacket honestly but TSA might think differently.
Thoughts?

Wow sounds cute and I don't see why it wouldn't be ok but gosh who knows these days? Well hope it works out for you - sounds like you could take it off if you had to - better go extra early just in case.
-
As long as you are willing to comply with any requests at security it should be fine....just be calm about it and expect comments from others, though I think it should be fine....

In todays world why would you even wanna test the waters?Isnt it tough enuff to just look like we normally do today at an airport?
Land first....then find nearest phone booth....lol!

I really don't think that would be a great idea, the world is full of crazy people, so I would not if I were you. But you are not (lol)
-
Sounds fun and cute but with all the security it may be a hassle.
-
I say go for it, as long as it adheres to the airports dress code & isn't a costume of Freddy Kruger or that Halloween guy. Sounds like giraffe onesies would not only be cute, but super cozy on the plane. Good Luck & have fun :)
-
I would imagine TSA might give you a problem or they could laugh, these days its hard to know. But that being said go for it! what's life wo some damn fun!! happy halloween!!
-
I think that sounds absolutely adorable! However, if I had to guess, it might earn you a little bit of extra scrutiny at the airport. I mean, as long as you're prepared to go through a couple of extra routine steps to get through security, you should have no problem wearing your costume at the airport. Then again, the TSA might not have any problem at all with your giraffe costume. Who doesn't love a giraffe?
-
Not sure that is a good idea for you.
-
Yes if you want too but I would wait.
-
It would probably be fine, but I think it would be more comfortable to wear something else.
-
i havent travelled in a while but who knows with the new screening process if this wiil be okay. i owuld make sure you have a change of clothes just in case it is not allowed
-
I would not dress up to get on a plane. It is going to cause problems. As crazy as the world is and as crazy as people are....
I would not be surprised if they even told you that you could not board the plane. Have you seen some of the stupid insane stuff people have done that has caused the pilot to land a plane?
-
I think it would be fine and I think people would love it! You'd make people smile.
-
They will more than likely search you, body scan you, all that. So if you don't want to be body searched, I wouldn't wear a costume.
-
Sounds like a stupid idea. If they (cops)can't see you in regular clothes, it would be stupid because they do want to see more than a costume.

They search every one.

I was wondering myself.Maybe if they dont answer its because they got detained...LOL!
I still cant figure out in todays times why someone would even consider this.
Do you need the attention that bad?
If Colin Kaperneck stayed in the locker room to not stand for flag he would be playing football still.Fear of man is a snare.Of course the majority of the country is gonna be against him even tho they dont know better either.

Colin Kaepernick could be playing football still, it is his own choice as he was offered a NFL contract, but he turned it down because it wasn't enough money. Poor him.

I think it's OK to wear the giraffe costume to the airport. I mean, it's highly unlikely that a terrorist would draw attention to himself or herself by wearing a giraffe costume to an airport! And I never heard of a ban on giraffe costumes before either. I have heard of bans on clown costumes.

Flying, maybe my bad for overlooking.Who wanted to sign Colin?

I'd skip the costume. Security at the airport is problematic enough.
-
I don't think it will be an issue as long as you don't bring prohibited items. I've seen a who family wear pajamas on Xmas on a plane.
-
Personally, I would leave off the costume; until arriving at my destination; however if you are willing to comply with any additional screening security may require; then I guess it would be ok.
-
Avoid any hassles. Pack your costume in a suitcase.
Change to your costume upon arrival.
-
You can wear anything you want at the airport. But to go through security, as long you comply with their rules and their request, you should be fine.
-
I say don't dress up now a days a ton of people judge and for security reasons as well its just going to be a pain you don't want to go through.
