Title: Swagbucks
Post by: autumnsparklemom on November 03, 2019, 11:52:54 am
Does anyone here use the site Swagbucks? I have not been able to log in since Friday (11-1-2019). Keeps there is an error logging in. I try from my cell phone and states my account has been deactivated. I have emailed and even did a ticket and still haven't received any response. Rather annoyed since I have a lot built up and have invested a lot of time. Was wondering if anyone else was having issues.  :( >:( :confused1:

I use it.  Log in every day.  Not had any problems.  This is another reason not to hoard up points or money in these online things.  When you hit cash out then you need to CASH OUT.  Then if something happens you don't lose as much money.  Are you sure you did not hit anything to deactivate the account when you were in the my account area?  I have not really heard too much about them closing accounts.

I haven't used Swagbucks in a while, long time. The site is so messed up and outdated. I thought people discussed having it more modernized because it is very popular, but so unacceptable at the same time. You should not have to hurry up and cash out and worry about points. They should have a way of keeping your points safe. They should. But, I am so tired of people messing with my points and trying to take them away. As you say, it is a lot of effort and time, etc. It is so disrespectful to mess with people's points. And then turn around and try to make offers for a lot of points and say it was because of them, etc.

I just logged into it just now and did the daily poll. It worked fine. I would try clearing your cookies or cache from your memory and try logging in again.

Yes the first site I used for surveys and searches. Disappointed in the searches lately I get 4sbs if lucky and takes forever to get a search win. Once had almost 10000 sbs now have 2300 will take forever to get to 10000.

I normally cash out at $25.00. I was able to login Friday Morning (November 1st) but by that afternoon/evening - I was unable to login. As of this morning (November 4) I am unable to login still = says error in login and to contact customer service. I am suppose to have another $25.00 added to my account at anytime. I am just now waiting for a response which said it may take up to 14 days. This is unacceptable.

I use it and have been a member for years.  I have had log-in issues a couple of times in the way past but nothing recently - hope that issue gets resolved for you.

;)I still am a member.  Although I don't know why.  It seems that there is always some sort of glitch and the points just don't add up fast enough for me.

I have been with Swagbucks since around August. This is the first glitch I have encountered. Very annoyed. Just want to get into my account and want to get an answer. Seems customer service is crappy which it is anywhere ya go.

If the account has been deactivated then this is not going to help.  All the OP can do is submit a support ticket and try to find out why the account was deactivated.

I just logged in with no problem.  I always cash out at $25.  The only time I waited to $50 it took longer to get paid.

Any time I have had an issue they have been great.  And usually resolve issues quickly.  I do awesome on that site.

Unbelievable, I did hear back, it stated my account has been deactivated! Would not go into detail what terms of service I violated. I have no clue. I had just cashed out before it was deactivated and I am thinking I had another 2500 coming, not sure. Anyway, I just created another account using my daughters name. We will see what happens now.

I have been a member of Swagbucks for almost 5 years and never had this problem.  I have had ncraves taken away for 2-3 weeks.  I have had some surveys that did not credit, but far less than here on Fusion. I have had more issues with those Discover options.  Those are a pain and I don't use them often.  I have had an issue with Swag making it more difficult and time consuming to earn the same money I earned the first 2 years on the site.  I have thought about quitting several times because of this last problem. However, I'm still Swagging and that amounts to my concerns!

So this makes me think there is a reason for the first deactivation.  What rule did you break the first time?  The IP will be the same so they can tell it is the same person.  Not to mention you are lying about who you are.

Sorry to hear that! I use it daily and haven't been having any trouble. FWIW the rare times I've had to contact support they've been pretty good about getting back to me.

Dang, you make it sound like I am this evil horrible person.  I am not a bad person. Multiple people in the same household can have an account unlike Fusion Cash or other survey sites. My son has one, so does my husband under Swagbucks. They never would go into detail about why the deactivation. I am just proving a point with Swagbucks. We do have one computer in the household . I do have children in my household, just happens I am using one of my kids names. Why not cash out and give them the reward??? Or a gift card for Christmas they may want? Ever think of in that aspect?

Maybe we are doing this because we are down on our luck at them moment and every little bit helps, especially with the holidays coming up. Think of it from someone else's viewpoint before passing judgement and calling someone a liar.

Even though I created another account with Swagbucks, I ended up deleting it. I am going with MyPoints. A sister site to Swagbucks and ran by the same company. Basically same thing but set up a tad different.

I love My Points and have been a member for a long time.  I have always done well with them.  Though I've thought about signing up with SB, I think the biggest reason why I haven't done so is because I don't want to spread myself thin.

There is only so much time I can spend online and I'd much rather make the most of good sites like Fusion Cash and My Points.

LOL  Do you feel better now?   I am not passing judgment.  And you are lying about who you are.  You set up an account in someone else's name.  YOU are not the person whose name is on the account.  So there ya go.

And I never said you were a horrible evil person.  I said it sounds like there was a legit reason for the deactivation.  If you are all using the same computer and all have an account and all live in the same household then that is most likely why the account was deactivated.  I am surprised they did not deactivate all of them. I know for a fact it happened to someone else.

And just for the record if you are that down on your luck then start turning off the extras like internet, cable, cell phones....

When you post in a public place that you are breaking the rules don't be surprised when someone calls you on it.
I noticed your next post says you deleted the account.  Maybe you did.  Maybe you didn't.  I really don't care either way.  Just stating facts.

Not sure what point you were trying to prove.  Maybe that you could beat them?  Idk.  If you really did not do anything wrong then I would email and ask for a specific reason as to WHY the account was closed.  Any time I have had an issue with them (all but once) they fixed the problem.  The only time they did not they said I emailed the wrong department and told me to send another email to the correct department.  I did not want to fool with it so I let it go.

That seems like the smarter way to go -- going with MyPoints & starting fresh with the same company.  It is too bad they don't give you a reason as to why you were deactivated on Swagbucks; hopefully you get your $25 owed to you.

If they deactivated her account for breaking rules she won't get the money.  She can't get in to redeem the points.  If I truly had not broken any rules I would send another email and ask again.  If rules had been broken I probably would let it go.  She already said everyone in her house has an account.  When I first joined that site it was one account per household.  But even the ones that allow one account per person and would allow more than one account per household require you to have separate emails and even computers.  Otherwise the same person can be completing the same stuff over and over.

That makes sense. Bing was this same way, real strict about multiple accounts in the same household -- you had to produce an id/phone# for the additional accounts. Also they track to see if the usage is similar - similar user habits/look-ups, logging in about the same time, & on same computer are red flags & will get you deactivated.  Those companies do have a clue about one user using multiple accounts & know how to spot them.

I do Bing from time to time. Takes too long to earn enough to get even $5 for Amazon.  Don't fool with it much.  I have cashed out and never had to give a phone number.  These sites are not a job.  Too many people are trying to work from home doing PTC sites and surveys.  It doesn't work.  You cannot earn a full time income doing these sites.  You can make a nice chunk of change if you have some other way to pay your bills.

The point is the sites, as you said, know when they are being taken advantage of.  It is like this site where there is one member with 15 or more accounts.  They can see your IP and they know if you have multiple accounts.  I know on another site a situation where a person had I think 4 accounts and was racking up the gift cards.  But when they got caught ALL 4 accounts were closed and ALL points accumulated were also lost - IN ALL of the accounts.  So if your account is closed by them for what ever reason and you just say well I will show you and open another account don't be surprised if you accumulate enough to cash out and your account is closed again.  You can't cry about being cheated when you yourself are cheating.  If my account was closed I would make more effort to find out why if I honestly did not have a clue what I had done.  I have only had it happen once and after multiple back and forth was finally told it was because I did not use the account for a period of time.  I was not able to access it.  I said oh well and moved on.  Even though they told me I could set up a new account.
