Title: New Year resolutions
Post by: debidoo on January 03, 2020, 11:03:09 am
Do you set New Year's resolutions?  I don't bother anymore really although I think in the back of my mind it is always to start the year with a better attitude and trying to be a increasingly better person overall.

I have never had New Year resolutions and really don't ever intend to do so. I think it's an exercise in futility.  :dontknow:

If you are going to stop or start something, you just do it. You don't wait until the New Year to do so. Just my take on it

No I did not make any resolutions this year I have a lot going on and don’t need the stress of things I know I can’t stick to so this year I’m just going to say whatever is is

Never really follow through on resolutions. When I have my mind set on something, I do it.

I stopped making New Year's resolutions a long time ago.I didn't do any better with my resolutions than most people do so I don't waste time making them anymore.

I don't set NY resolutions anymore; I find it more productive to make weekly action steps towards goals I want to fulfill for the year.

Here are mine:

1.  To fulfill my New Years' resolutions (LOL).

2.  To (finally) lose weight (30 pounds).

3.  To pay off my automobile loan.

4.  To be more positive/optimistic and to surround myself with positive people.

I do not set New Year's Resolutions because I think it jinxes what you really plan to do. I keep my plans to myself.

Yes, I have a New Year's resolution to walk every day that it is not raining or snowing outside. I have set a goal of walking two miles every day if I can to get exercise and tone up the old bod.

This. Simply this. And while I don't set new years resolutions I will see if this year I will finish my graphic novel series.

I don't have New Year's resolutions any longer.  If I have a goal, I usually set it any time during the year.  Even if you set a goal, then you have to decide on the steps to get there.  Sometimes New Year's resolutions simply set you up for failure if you are not careful.  Then you may feel worse! For those who have set them, good luck.  I think it will help to write them down and list the exact measurable steps to achieve them.
