put just a tiny bit of hand cream on it.  So just put it on your hands and then run them through your hair.  Otherwise, mix conditioner with water and spritz with that.

That's what I do.... It does work.  It makes your hair smell nice too.

I've got some light hand cream from Crabtree & Evelyn in a pump bottle.  I use a tiny dab and rub it in my hands then run my fingers through my hair.  I do not use thick cream.  I've just never tried thick cream.

Get some leave in conditioner.  You need moisture.

I forgot to mention that I have a small bottle on 'Garnier Fructis anti frizz serum'  I use a tiny bit after I towel dry my hair.  It makes my hair tangle free and frizz free.  If it starts getting a little static  later then I  use the hand lotion.

After you shampoo, condition and dry your hair, apply a "leave on conditioner"-Do not rinse or wet your hair again.
Style your hair any way you like!

Have you tried combing instead of brushing?  Unless you have curly hair and then that does not work.

I find my hair is awfully staticky if I use just shampoo and no conditioner. With conditioner it's much better. No fancy products or leave-in stuff.

I have super fine straight hair, so static is especially bad in the winter. I don't use conditioner because it weighs my hair down too much. When I had long hair, the static was annoying, but now I have short hair and use just a touch of pomade to keep it controlled. I hate putting product in my hair though. It feels gross. But I don't know how else to tame it. Nothing else works without flattening my hair.  ???

Sure glad you asked because I didn't have an answer but I sure have the same problem.  Loved the ideas for help and I am going to try them and see what works best for me.

I use a conditioner every day but still have this problem.  Going to try the leave in conditioner.  I asked my hair stylist and she said to try static guard but a little worried about using this.

Make sure you have a humidifier going in your home because dry air is murder on your skin and your hair.

It definitely is electrifying; like full of electrons.
