It's still early but I'm getting itchy to start planting! I'm trying a few kinds of hot peppers this year, I started the seedlings indoors several weeks ago, they're slow but it's still a head start. Also doing my usual squash, pumpkins and herbs.
What will you be growing this year?

we may not have a garden this year. we never really have a successful garden. so what's the point of trying again to grow a garden.

I will be starting my seeds indoors soon...tomatoes and peppers. We also plant cucumbers, onions, carrots, radishes, sweet corn, herbs and lots of flowers. We have a large asparagus plot too.

I don't plant vegetables they just don't do well in the heat & soil here, but I do need to replant / update my yard. I am going to put a bunch of night blooming jasmines up so my yard smells wonderful this summer. Also, I'm going to slowly start incorporating these fire plant/ fire stick succulents as they are easy to care for & just beautiful when the sun is setting & shines on the red part of the plant. :)

I would love to plant a spring garden. The problem is, because of my arthritis I can't get down to the ground anymore. My knees just won't take it. So now I'm thinking about having a raised garden, but I'm hesitant to put the money into one of those wooden table-like things (don't know what they're called). I don't know, maybe I'll start really small and then see if I want to go to something bigger next spring (or fall). But I would definitely plant at least cucumbers, tomatoes, and zucchini if I did have a garden! :peace:

I am not sure what my garden will look like this year but I know tomatoes and okra will be a part of it.

I going to try to grow an avocado for a few weeks than toss it out! I am not actually going to let it grow. I have no idea how they really grow, but I just googled and it would seem nice to have it as a small indoor tree in the house/apartment.

I hope you do try a raised garden! I wish I was there to help you set one up, it makes me sad to hear of anyone wanting to garden & being unable. If you know anyone who's handy, I bet you could build one for cheaper than the kits.
