Title: New admins but with limited power
Post by: minioncookies on February 29, 2020, 11:32:58 pm
I think we need new admins on these forums even if they have minor power with less then what an actual admin has to answer questions and move topics where they are supposed to be at would be a plus. They could even be just volunteers from this forum to help do it, To many topics in this part of the forum alone belong in off topic when this is supposed to be suggestions area of the forums. It doesn't have to be people who think they should be paid more like people who want to be here and do a little extra for the FC community

I used to moderate on a couple firearms forums back in the day....kinda fun but could be a pain at times also.

I don't see what the big deal is about where a thread is started. If people would not jump on the person and 30 people saying this is in the wrong place the thread would die down. It is not that big of a deal.  Half the crap in off-topic should have been in the debate section.  I honestly do not think there are any admins on this site.  According to the BBB there is only one employee.  The site has gone down hill over the years.  There have been NO new offers on this site since I joined several years ago.  And several things have either went away or are still showing on the site but no longer work.

Also do not agree that someone who has been in the forums for a while should be allowed to remove other members posts.  As for moving conversations that have been started to another part of the forums I don't think they can do that.  All they can do is delete it or lock it.  It is like when I started one and it got started in the wrong place and everybody yelling you need to move this to off-topic.  I can't MOVE it any where.

I suggested in my most recent support ticket regarding hitch that they make a couple of the long term members un-paid mods, so that they can get deal with some of this stuff. Haven't heard anything about it yet.

I don't worry about where they are posted and to me it doesn't matter as long as you can post a reply and get credit for.  Think it would more helpful to answer all the support tickets than worry about someone accidentally posting to the wrong catergory.

SO you propose that random members are able to delete other members they don't like?  The owner of the site can stop things if they want to.  The owner of the site is not going to give random people he does not even know any control over any part of the website.  I am a webmaster on a couple of sites.  There is NO way I would give random people control over any part of the sites.

I vote to make JediJohnnie and [whichever is the most current version/username of Hitch] moderators with deletion powers, with the exception that they cannot delete each other.

I totally agree with your opinion on where there are posts.  I usually just say to myself something like, "Does someone not look at the heading and think about what they are going to post?" but it really doesn't matter that much to me. I have much more important things to think about than this...like taking a nap, getting groceries, or what time a fav show is on the TV!

To those of you that are tired of the delays of Fusion Cash NOT responding to your posts, you can blame this poor soul of cluttering up the progress of the monitor.

By his own admission about 5 months ago, this fool had already written 47 reports to FC to try and ban a member who had already been banned from the forum.I can just imagine what that # is now.

We dont care what FC does.We know many of you are frustrated not getting answers cos this clown causes delays.

Your posts may be answered quicker if you asked FC to remove  him and his nonsense.Think about it!!

Slow down cowboy, I didn't say "Random Members" I said "Long Term members" big difference.

Website owners trust mods to handle their sites all the time. This is hardly a revolutionary idea.

Don't a select few have "Helpful contributor" titles or whatever? They're the types that should get the job.

Thank you Mr Monitor for installing us as king of the FC forum.

For my first act.....I sentence you and Countrygirl to solitary confinement for a month together or whoever bores the other one to death first.

Honestly, I do not have a problem with the moderators/administrators on this forum. The few squabbles I have come across were from new members who violated the rules of the forum.

What's the sense of having different topic headings if no one is going to follow what's in those topics?  As for the site going downhill, it's been getting better with the new owner. Time is needed to straighten out the mess that was made near the end of the last owner. Patience is needed, not impatience. I was ready to leave a year or two ago because of stuff going on but some posters said give it more of a chance, so I did and now I'm thankful I did.  Yes, some things went away but some things went away long ago before the new owner took possession of this site.

As for not moving your posts if they're in the wrong topic....yes, i'm pretty sure you can move them. You can copy and paste under the right topic and then I think you can delete your post under the wrong topic. If you can't, delete the info in the heading of your post, then tell everyone where they can find the original post.

I must have been sleeping or missed the memo. When did the site change ownership? I hadn't noticed any differences and don't remember seeing or reading any bulletins or emails about this. Does anyone have a link or source?

I read about a new owner in one of the forums sometime last year or the beginning of this year. I can't remember under which topic.

Just a reminder to ALL FC members that for your benefit we will monitor a certain member here named Countrygirl so you dont get drawn into her controversial lifestyle and make your forum experience unpleasant.

LOL to the idiot above me that thinks be is a moderator.  Who has openly admitted he trolls all my comments, attacks everything I say, and mentions me in 99% of his posts whether I am in the conversation or not. It is hilarious that his whole life is consumed with me. He has also admitted he talks about me to his friends (or I guess people he knows because I doubt he has a real friend) LOL

I needed that laugh!

There is no new owner. Some person posting in here said that but they are wrong. The owner is the same at it has always been. A quick google search will show that information.

It didn't. You can't believe everything you see in these threads. The only thing different on the site is a lot of stuff is no longer working or crediting (according to posts in these threads) and it appears no moderators are monitoring the forums any longer.

ALL one needs to do <if they care>is to review her posts......then make up your mind.

Can U even imagine if she *isses off many in a forum what she must be like in person?

Ill betcha many would rather take their chances with COV19 then catch her syndrome.

Thank goodness most of us dont have that luxury LOL!

I saw this late.CG says i speak to my friends about her?LOL!!!Another whopper!!!!Please....cut and paste where!!!

FC members...she is quite sick and delirious. If the posts existed she would have no prob putting up we said that. But watch the viping whopper lose again.Man can this fool lie.

Yeah i have nothing better to do then speak to my spouse and son about you...LOL!!This is fun right here.We are having a blast right here.It doesnt need to go any furthur. You and JJ fuel the entertainment.Mostly you cos hes banned part of the month now for reasons i explained long ago.But you are a masochist and keep coming back for more.FC would do U a favor if they banned U.

The good book says to remove the wicked one from among you......and thats what we are attempting to do with you.
