It will be awhile before things will return to normal. If things do go back to normal, it will not be the same as it was before. This something we all have to get used to.

I think we all need to adjust to a new way of living. Things are never going to be the way they were, in my opionion. I pray that everyone will do their part to help get us back to what will be a new normal. My heart goes out to all families devastated by this nasty virus.

And that is good for you and fine for the people who choose to get it. The majority of people surveyed have said they will not take a vaccine for this. WHY do we need a vaccine for a virus that has a 98% recovery rate? I also find it hilarious that the majority of people who get the flu are people who took the "vaccine". I have never had the flu shot and never had the flu. My cousin takes it every year, as well as several people I know, and they ALL also get the flu every year.
What is even more head shaking is people are already fighting about the people who said they would not take the vaccine. If you take your previous vaccine then YOU are protected so why do you care what somebody else does? Never understood that either. lol.

Things will never go back to "normal". It is like a friend said last night - the world we knew just 90 days ago is gone forever. Nothing is ever going to be the same again.

I just hope the scientists and doctors figure out why children who have been exposed, or who've had Covid-19 are developing the terrible inflammation of their internal organs. And they don't even get those weird effects until well after they're infected. It's bizarre. If I'm not mistaken, no other "flu" virus does this. This novel coronavirus is a nasty one.
God bless those kids and all the other kids who this virus is adversely affecting. I pray that the effects of Covid-19 don't have long lasting consequences for them--or for anyone else, for that matter. Time will tell.

It is different than the flu. Yes, people die yearly from the flu, but nobody probably "bats an eye" because the numbers are not as high as with COVID-19 (https://www.livescience.com/covid-19-deaths-vs-flu-deaths.html). With seasonal flu have you ever seen/heard of people rushing to bury dead bodies because of how fast they are piling up? Or cities having to turn ice rinks into temporary morgues?

On top of it all, countries are seeing higher numbers of cases and deaths with COVID-19 while taking preventative measures like going into quarantine and shutting down. This never happens with seasonal flu. I do agree with kjstrukel, though - everyone will have to adjust to the way things are in a post-COVID-19 world.

It is here to stay, I take the flu vaccine every year for as long as it has been offered and never got sick with it, until this year, I got the flu right around the same time as COVID was starting to come out, late February, and it took me more than 6 weeks to recover. I cannot imagine what COVID would do.
It is true that the flu kills people, but think about it this way, the flu numbers for the whole YEAR are less than COVID numbers for a few months. I know some people don't want to believe but this VIRUS is serious and our way of life has changed for good. Countries around the WORLD are seeing higher numbers of cases and deaths with COVID while taking preventative measures like going into quarantine and shutting down. Have you ever heard or seen that happening with the FLU? NO, because it is a different BEAST. We will have to adjust to the way things are in a post-COVID-19 world.

I think it will be around for a long time, until they get a vaccine for it; in the mean time all we can do is our best to keep ourselves and family safe.

Hopefully, life will return to a new normal soon. However the virus is here to stay. I pray that everyone stays healthy and safe. also, that a vaccine soon in coming! :rose: :rainbow: :peace:

It will be a while before the coronavirus will come to an end. When the vaccine and a cure becomes available, when we will be safe again.

I don't think it will be completely gone. It's going to be a new norm, but having a vaccine will definitely keep the virus in check so this worldwide spread won't happen like this again.

Yes, it will eventually end, but at what cost to all the people. The amount of cases have increased exponentially. The number of deaths have also increased. Not good.

I am so over the whole covid19 thing. I just got back from vacation and the state of missouri is open again. We went to a couple of sit down places to eat and some people are still wearing masks in the stores but most are not :peace:

I really wish it didn't scare regular, healthy people so much. There is a rise in positive tests, but a lowering of deaths. The recovery rate is still quite high. I feel bad for all the scare tactics that the media is using. I do wear a mask grocery shopping, but it seems silly. I just wish people would make their own decisions and keep the government out of it. I am all for protecting yourself, but I don't tell others what to do. I went through 125-150 people attending my son's funeral. hugging and talking and being together. No social distancing and we are all fine as far as I know. It was more important to me to have my friends around me than to worry about it.

I don't know if we will ever get rid of this virus, especially if people don't follow the guidelines and wear a mask when they are in stores and around other people.

Nope not true. It will go back to normal once a vaccine or a cure becomes available.

This virus is a nasty beast. I don't know how it will ever diminish ..... too many people don't take it seriously, they are offended that they might be required to wear a mask. They feel their freedom is being infringed on. No one can tell them what to do.
Frustrating to me that they think like this.
My brother-in-law is sick with it. So far, at home with high fever. I'm praying he doesn't get any worse and recovers quickly.

Read somewhere that people can adapt to change. Like no hand shaking,wearing masks,social distancing. I guess we have to. Watch3d a video about the spanish flu it did just go away. Dont think this one will.
