Title: George Floyd a 'violent criminal'
Post by: cadence4u on June 03, 2020, 11:07:25 am
George Floyd a 'violent criminal' he's been involved in three police shootings

In a letter released Monday, Lt Bob Kroll, (president of the Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis) described protesters demonstrating over Floyd's death as terrorists and criticized the city's politicians for not sanctioning greater use of force against them in a letter to union members.

He also defended the four officers involved in Floyd's death, including Derek Chauvin who is facing charges of murder and manslaughter. All four officers have been fired.

Kroll's April interview, however, revealed the extent to which he and his colleagues were involved in police shootings and how he believes cops should not be blamed in settlements for wrongful death cases.

'There's been a big influx of PTSD,' Kroll said. 'But I've been involved in three shootings myself, and not one of them has bothered me. Maybe I'm different.

'Out of the 10 board members, over half of them have been involved in armed encounters, and several of us multiple. We don't seem to have problems,' he added.

'Certainly getting shot at and shooting people takes a different toll, but if you're in this job and you've seen too much blood and gore and dead people then you've signed up for the wrong job.'

Later in the interview, Kroll tells host Maxwell Thomas Silverhammer his thoughts on pressure from the city's mayor and city council asking police to forgo raises, claiming that they are instead 'p*****g away' money on programs like a transgender coordinator.

He added that police should be held blameless for the costly settlements in wrongful death cases and blamed the city attorneys who he feels did not defend them properly when they were sued over fatal shootings.

'What is not being told is the violent criminal history of George Floyd. The media will not air this,' he wrote.

'I've worked with the four defense attorneys that are representing each of our four terminated individuals under criminal investigation, in addition with our labor attorneys to fight for their jobs. They were terminated without due process.'

While Floyd had served time in prison for aggravated robbery, and it is unknown if Chauvin knew this as he detained him, video footage of the arrest shows that Floyd was not behaving violently towards the police, nor was he armed or suspected of a violent crime.

A coroner has since confirmed that Floyd's death was homicide. Dr Allecia Wilson of the University of Michigan, one of the two forensic doctors who performed the independent autopsy, said the evidence pointed to homicide by 'mechanical asphyxia' meaning from some physical force that interfered with oxygen supply.

In his letter, Kroll also blamed city officials for not giving police enough support to deal with the protests and riots that have broken out in Minneapolis following the death of Floyd.

'What has been very evident throughout this process is you have lacked support from the top,' he wrote, addressing union members.

'This terrorist movement that is currently occurring was a long time build up which dates back years.

'Starting with minimizing the size of our police force and diverting funds to community activists with an anti-police agenda.

'Our chief requested 400 more officers and was flatly denied any. This is what led to this record breaking riot.'

Any life taken in Gods eyes is precious. It looks like the cop used excess force even tho i dont think he wanted to kill him.

My opinion taking Gods view to influence my opinion is all 4 were fired and a manslaughter charge against cop with choke hold.

I would also consider putting other 3 on house arrest for a yr.They shoulda stepped in and didnt from what i know.

The protesting if its calm i have no prob with.Looting should be punished depending how serious it is done.

I just read that the three former officers are being charged in the killing of George Floyd and that Derek Chauvin charges have been upgraded to 2nd degree murder instead of 3rd degree. Let there be justice!

Here is another way to look at from a biblical view.

King David put Bathshebas hubby in front lines in hope he would get killed to cover up an adultry. He succeeded. It was bad enuff in Gods eyes KD committedd adultry, but also pre-mediitated his death.God punished KD but did forgive him cos he saw his heart.

I bring that up concerning the other 3 officers. They coulda stopped the incident and they didnt.Yes they should be punished and were already losing their jobs.To what extent? Not sure.I said house arrest for a yr.Now im not so sure.

What do others think?

George Floyd's death could have been prevented I believe but there is absolutely NO excuse for all this rioting and looting and those people should be put in prison if there is anywhere to put them.

Yea people are acting like he was a decent law abiding citizen and it doesn't seem like that is the case.  The main officer should have known how to restrain him better and I am not saying he deserved to die but this is ridiculous.

It does not matter what criminal record he had or is accused of he still did not deserve to murdered with a knee to the neck.  This is America and the punishment should be decided by judge and jury.  Other countries and the Pope have condemned this killing by those who should protect us.

Why did bystanders did NOT call paramedics while video taping his murder? Bystanders could get the help need for him, but they did NOT do that, but rather video taping this incident?

Dereck Chauvin has over 18 investigated incident already & includes over three police shootings and a fatal car chase! Why is he still working 3 incident? He should of been FIRED!

Tou Thao has part of a $25,000 out of court settlement after being sued for using excessive force in 2017.

The remaining two officers Thomas Lane and J Alexander Kueng were reportedly rookie cops who were still in their probationary periods.

Hi! :D :)

Yes I believe what was done to George Floyd was very wrong. He should still be here and all the protest should have never been. However no one know for certain it was a race issue. When someone say they can't breath listen and get off their neck no matter there color. We all should move away from racism and take each other as is. :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:

Regardless of his criminal record, He should not have been kill with a knee to his neck.  Police officers should be held responsible for their crimes like all other "Criminals". When he stopped "resisting" the knew should have come off.

I admire officers jobs, and I know they get to arrest the worse of the worse, but 1 thing is to restrain other is to kill, premeditated or not.  Some of the officers already had history of violence and should not have stayed as officers.

So no the fact the George Floyd had a criminal does not give an excuse to kill him like they did.

I do not approve the violence and rioting that is going around but I do believe that the justice system needs to change, there is too much discrimination and racism in this country.  And even when I know many of you are not going to agree with me, it needs to stop at the top, with our President.

When he said he could not breathe they should have listened to him. Depending on which source you listen to one autopsy said he had a heart attack.  Which would cause trouble breathing.  Even if they thought he was lying they should have listened. Call paramedics and then take him on to jail after he is checked out.  If he was already cuffed then why not just sit him in the back of the car or go on to the jail. I do not think his intention was murder. It is clear from previous incidents he was a bully.  I think that is what he was doing this time as well.  Things just went too far. But I do not think he set out to kill the man.  Esp not in front of a huge crowd and with multiple videoing.

Something I read said that cops in that city are trained to basically use excessive force.

Were you okay with the racist comments that came from the last president? He is the one who started all this. When he left office this country was more divided than ever.  Maybe people need to start making their own mind up and stop listening to the media.

I said starting with our President, I did not say which one, I just said it has to start at the top with whoever is President.  But as an adult if you know that someone has done something wrong then you should not follow their steps.  As a mature person you should aim to do better than others and your level of maturity shows when you you point fingers and say he did so I can do ti too, even when you know is wrong.

They should have never got on his neck in the first place.  He's handcuffed and on the ground and not resisting with four armed officers around.  They failed to do their job properly and it's really sad.

He was just buying cigs using a fake 20.00 bill. Maybe he knew it was fake maybe not. Not worth dying for. The looting has nothing to do with people  who feel bad about the incident.  They are  using it to get free stuff.

George Floyd having a less than stellar record is irrelevant, the optics are really bad.  George stopped moving at 6 minutes & they remained on him for another 3 minutes.

His autopsy was released yesterday, he was positive for Covid-19, he had more than enough drugs in him to cause an OD.
>Compound Result Units Matrix
>Caffeine Positive mcg/mL
>Cotinine Positive ng/mL
>4-ANPP 0.65 ng/mL
>11-Hydroxy Delta-9 THC 1.2 ng/mL
>Delta-9 Carboxy THC 42 ng/mL
>Delta-9 THC 2.9 ng/mL
>Methamphetamine 19 ng/mL
>Fentanyl 11 ng/mL
>Norfentanyl 5.6 ng/mL
>Cannabinoids Presump Pos ng/mL
>Amphetamines Presump Pos ng/mL
>Fentanyl / Metabolite Presump Pos ng/mL
>Morphine - Free 86 ng/mL

The average amount of Fentanyl that causes an OD is around 9.

Additionally, George had no damage to his neck according to the autopsy report.

There are a lot of variables in play -- including that the police officer Chauvin & George Floyd knew each other.

I do know one thing for sure. The police officer should have gotten off his neck when he said he couldn't breath, even if that was some sort of protocol to hold him down that way, the man stopped moving at 6 minutes.  It is so heart breaking to watch that video.

Apparently, the police in Minneapolis were specifically trained that way on how to immobilize a person.
They failed to do their job properly when they remained on him when he was in distress instead of contacting paramedics.

So many people will dig for something that doesn't mean a thing.  4 cops killed this man, that is the bottom line. There are just too many cops out there who needs to be fired because their lack of a moral compass.  Also with them being cowards, and racist.

Yes I agree I definitely didn't think his murder was supposed to happen at all. I'm sure George Floyd didn't say today I'm going to hand over a bad cash and get killed today. Nevertheless that is exactly what happened. No he was not a saint but he deserves to be allowed to make mistakes and live through them.
