Title: Forum Post Submissions
Post by: pstovall on June 28, 2020, 12:41:16 pm
Do you spend a lot of time selecting the three posts for your forum bonus submissions? I do!!!  I have quite a process I go through.  I read through every single post I've written and start narrowing it down until I finally pick my three favorites.  I write all this down on a text edit sheet with the number of each post, what it's about, the ID number of the post, the date, and some stars to indicate how much I like the post, etc. Then I go back and click the number link at the top of the post to put it into my submission form.  I even double check the ID numbers with the numbers on my text edit sheet to make sure they are correct. Ya think I have a touch of OCD???  Or is it just perfectionism?  What's YOUR process?  (I imagine much less simple than mine.)

I do a little choosing when it comes time for selection. I usually pick posts that I feel have more content or may be more helpful in a discussion

I usually pick the three most substantial ... having a quote from somebody else's post in it is a plus too.  ;)

I pick those that have a little more content then something I might have posted that was quick and one line.

I don't get anywhere close to getting that involved for my posting selections.  I do pick 3 that have at least 2 sentences and on different topics.  I rarely scroll past the first page or two, before I select my 3.  I simply click on the message ID and it loads to the submit page.

I'd say I spend a moderate amount of time on the submissions as I too like to go through each of my posts.  I select the three that I feel are the most helpful to the member or directly answer a question. I click on the message id and quickly verify that the correct id was transported to the submission form.

That seems like a lot of effort for $3, but if it works for you, I do not judge.  I do look over my posts a little and tend to pick ones that offer an insight or help or a thread that I started.

I don't usually have any trouble finding three where I helped someone and pick those.

I just go through and see if any posts show that I have some semblance of brain power and I submit those.

It's like picking flowers out of the weeds.  :rose: No problemo.

I wouldn't say I spend "a lot" of time, but I do scan through my posts for the month and find the ones I find are most helpful. I don't know if they reject bonuses if you submit low-quality posts for them to check, but I'd rather not risk it.

Guilty!  I want to submit something for the forum bonus that will tell the judge something good or informative!  Not a response to someone comment, but an answer to someone's question.

I always pick the most important ones and submit those. I read them all first and then start picking and choosing which ones I want to submit.
