Title: Getting scary message when I try to log in
Post by: bostonphil on July 01, 2020, 07:29:15 pm
I was trying to log into FC through Chrome and got a warning in red. This is what it said:

Your connection is not private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from www.fusioncash.net (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). Learn more

I was able to log into FC through Safari and that is how I am now posting this discussion.

Has anyone else ever had a message like this when trying to access FC? Is anyone getting this message now when using chrome?

Scary Message II

I tried logging in through Firefox and this is the message that I got

Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead

Firefox detected an issue and did not continue to www.fusioncash.net. The website is either misconfigured or your computer clock is set to the wrong time.

It’s likely the website’s certificate is expired, which prevents Firefox from connecting securely. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details.

What can you do about it?

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

I get that same message on Google Chrome as well. I clicked on the advanced tab on the message and it says that the site's security certificate has expired in the last day due to either misconfiguration or someone  trying to intercept my connection. Since I am not the only one, I assume it has to do with the security certificate. I have not yet tried with a different browser, but if Safari worked for you, maybe there is some sort of glitch with the chrome browser too.

I am getting this message from Bitdefender (anti-virus) using any browser:

Your connection to this website is not safe due to expired certificate and was blocked. Attackers might try to steal sensitive information from you, such as passwords or credit cards.
I understand the risks, take me there anyway

What's weird is it shows the lock icon by the address bar, meaning it's secure. So is it secure or not?  ::)

bostonphil, thanks for posting about this.  I tried to sign in through Microsoft Edge, and I received the same error message I received through Chrome. Combined with your second error message, I am pretty sure this is a website issue.

I am getting a message that says "Not Secure - Fusion Cash" in the address bar.

I think Fusion Cash's Certificate has expired. I was going to open a support ticket but I get the scary message when I try to go to Get Help..

Is anyone brave enough to open a support ticket and let administrator know.

I also received the same warning when trying to login earlier today.   I waited and when I went back to try to login in again a few hours later, the warning is now gone.  Maybe FC fixed it in the last few hours.

Yes, I was getting the same message late yesterday afternoon, (CST), on Chrome, Microsoft Soft Edge and Opera!  Although early yesterday everything was fine.  Late this morning everything seems to be working OK again and no longer seeing "Not Secure" in the corner.  Very scary indeed!    ???

It has been fixed. Scary message is gone and we have a lock on left hand side of the address line.

Yes, I got Scary Message II yesterday; the one from the Firefox browser.   I'm trying to remember if I've seen this message before on Fusion Cash.

I know that there have been times when the site was down with a 'site maintenance' type of message but this warning was a bit odd.

I'm glad to see that we are up and going today.

It happens from time to time. I usually don't bypass it though. I just wait an hour or two and I'll be able to access FC again. It scared me the first time, but then I realized it happens often and randomly.

It's interesting that you mention a contamination in the system.  On the occasions when Fusion Cash is down, I often wonder if it's down because admin is considering a change to the forum.

In light of some of the 'discussions, responses and replies' that show up here, I often wonder what admin thinks about it all.

I have gotten that message before on some sites, I never keep going when I get that.

 :cat:

I get this red page error on other sites when accessing their click links for .01 or .02 but never in FusionCash.

Although, I never log out and only occasionally has FC logged me out forcing me to log in again.

Hi Betly

First off i hope U and UR family are safe and doing well in these crazy times.

For now i just wanted to ask U a simple question.

Most of us have suffered an injustice at 1 time.Have U ever gone thru that and NOT turned the other cheek as Jesus said we should?

Also Bet...do U have any idea what Jedi and Countrygirl did to Hitch0403 last yr based on him supporting bible on JW.org.?

If U jumped in  last yr and said we should have handled it differently, they even turned that around to make it look like we were fighting. If anything i actually agreed with ur scolding of us and tried to justify some of our actions.

But i haved always supported and defended Jehovahs organization.Even they know that.

Thank you.

With the recent flood of *bleep* and *bleep* on FC and the site slow to move on it,i think the answer to your question is obvious.....they dont care!!!

To think my MAIN man Hitch was banned a yr ago for supporting the bible and they do NOTHING RE this rubbish.

But what a difference a yr made how truth surfaced and some are NOT here that caused trouble and others have been exposed to what they really are.
