I'm sick of it too.  I suppose when they develop a cure or vaccine, we'll ease back into something like normal.

You know, I highly doubt things will ever really get back to "normal" or at least the normal that was before the virus. If anything, there will eventually be a new normative standard that people will unfortunately have to get used to.

I am so ready for that as well. My son learning from home is turning out much more challenging than I initially thought and I am so eager to go back to swimming in my gym.

How could anything be normal in this world when the whole world lies in the power of the wicked one?

How did the people of Hiroshima or Nagasaki feel when atom bombs were dropped on them?

How did those that contracted AIDS feel when they caught a disease that shut down their immune system?

For the sake of not writing a book i think you get the picture.

Fortunately for some of us the bible speaks of a hope where peace, life and love will abound forever.

I hope i am around to live in it.

I don't think things will ever be the same as before this virus.  Some people are not taking it serious and think they can't get it, but I'm sure that the virus is not selective only certain individuals.  It can affect anyone.

According to the scientist, maybe by the 3rd quarter next year 2021.  Let's pray.

The hype surrounding it will go away after the election. Depending on who wins I guess.  If the dumos win it will never go away.

::)  Not sure how people can be so ignorant.  Trump did not start it and as far as the virus he cannot end it.  Yes he was only sick for a couple days. People need to educate themselves.  This "virus" is NOT a death sentence.  Everyone who gets cov does not die.  Everyone who gets cov does not end up on a vent.  For the majority of people it is nothing more than a bad cold or a mild case of the flu.  SOME people do have it worse.  SOME people die from the flu.  Trump is NOT the one who is pushing fear and keeping this going.  That is your beloved demonrats.  All you people who think you want to live under communism either failed history class or you are just plain stupid.  If you want to live in a communist country then move to one.  The Land of the Free will do just fine without you.

They have already said a vaccine will not be effective.  The CDC themselves said a vaccine will be no more effective than a mask.  And those are useless.  Have you not been watching the news?  More than one person is having serious side effects from this vaccine.  One with severe paralysis.  Do you know what that means?  Look it up.  Not a pretty thing to have happen to you. At least 2 of the vaccines in development have been halted.  But hey when they are ready to hand it out you run be first in line.

I am so sick of hearing the "new normal". But I think you are right in that things will never be like they were just 11 months ago.  Maybe it will.  Shutting the media down would be the best thing that could happen.  The thing is the real information is available if you are willing to look for it.  It is like in my county when they are pushing there are xxx number of cases. But when you go to the state website you find there is only x active cases.  Whole lot less scary when you look at it like that.  But when all they report is the total cases and don't ever say this is including the recovered and there are only 3 active cases and those people are recovering at home then people stay scared.  Good thing is people are starting to wake up.

We have been lied to so much most people are just tired of it and going on with life.  The virus is real.  But the fear they are pushing is not.  From what I am seeing the ones who are the most scared are the ones who are getting sick.  Everyone I know who has got this, with the exception of 1 person, wore a mask every time they went out.  They got it any way.  I don't know how you want people to "take" it.  We can't all stay locked up in our homes for ever.  Back in March it was 2 weeks.  If everybody stays home for 2 weeks and wears a mask if they absolutely have to go out then it will "flatten the curve" and all go away.  New York has been one of the worse places since this started.  They also were one of the most strict with lock downs.  They are still number 4 in the country.   So there is not really a way to take it any more serious than the majority of people are.  It is also noteworthy that the ones who are the most lax and go every where and party hard are not getting sick.  I know people who have been vacationing all over the country including the worse hit states and they did not get sick. And yes they are one of the ones who think it is all a joke and the virus is not even real.  Not working is paying them pretty good because they takin a cross country trip.

No, I don't wear a mask and I won't unless absolutely forced.  My county does not have a mask mandate.  A few stores have a sign up saying you need a mask but most people ignore it. And the stores do not enforce it.  Our Walmart took the mask required signs down.  Our Dollar Tree has a sign that says  " No one may enter with a face mask or face covering on" but I walked in without one and nobody said a word.  Half the store did not have one on.  When I walked in and the store manager was standing 10 feet from the door without a mask on I figured it did not matter too much.

And my state was never under any kind of lock down.   Some stores temporarily closed but most are reopened now.

All you can do is was your hands and stay somewhat away from people.  I am not super worried about 6 feet but have not wanted people in my personal space for quite some time.  We can't all hide forever.

There have been a couple.  There was one a few weeks ago and it was a younger woman.  They said she had severe paralysis.  Then I heard about this new one and from what I understood it is effecting more than one person.  But there is so much nonsense and lies spewed you have no idea what to believe.  The media has been caught in so many lies, also the cdc and who and others that people just do not believe anything anymore.

Two years.  The Spanish Flu lasted two years.  Unfortunately people aren't doing the right thing so that's what it will last just the same.

That is foolish.  Why would it magically go away in two years.  People are doing the right thing. The places where they are the most strict on covering your face lol and locking people in their homes still have the highest numbers.

I don't believe that things will return to normal. I work for a corporation with over eight thousand employees and the numbers associated with working from home show much greater efficiencies. I have friends that work for other large companies and they are seeing the same results. Amazon is crushing numbers as people choose to shop on line rather than risk exposure. Both of these trends lead me to believe that this pandemic will create a more mobile society with less reliance on the corporate brick and mortar environments of old. I have also noticed that people are washing their hands more frequently, pay more attention to direction of their sneezes, and maintain a further distance from other humans. These are, in my eyes, positive steps. More time at home should creat more intact families and less carbon/emission products from commuters. Colorado, sans wild fire smoke, has near crystal clear skies and I am seeing wildlife not seen in years.

Where I live, they have masks required or no service. I always wear one walking to my car, not inside driving and going into stores. I'm scared to take that risk. But to each its own, in some countries the rates aren't high. And some people may have it, or had it and their immune system took care of it.

But to each its own, in some countries the rates aren't high. And some people may have it, or had it and their immune system took care of it.

When places like Walmart first said masks are required in their stores over all most people wore one in my area. Some people bucked it. They did other places as well.  Walmart came back and said if you do not wear a mask you will still be served. More and more stopped wearing them.  Again, my state does not have a cover your face mandate. ::)

People want to tout science but are so h*ll bent on fighting they can't see that science proves the mask is useless.  Do some research.   Size of a covid germ  -researchers have determined the diameter of this virus to range between 60 nanometers (nm) to a maximum diameter of 140 nanometers (nm).  The virus is so tiny it will penetrate right through your mask. Not to mention all the people who are getting lung infections from wearing a mask all day. The CDC originally said the mask is useless and will not prevent the spread of Covid19.  It even has a disclaimer on the box saying that exact same thing.  And the home made ones are no better. The CDC also was originally saying that the only people who needed to wear a mask were people who were sick.  Healthy people have no need for wearing a mask.  Then they started changing it every day.  They have flip flopped several times.

The fact is the majority of people who get this virus WILL recover. A local woman in her 90s with COPD recovered from it. The media pushing fear is the biggest problem and it seems to be working. When this first started I was really concerned and upset about it.  Then I started seeing all the contradictions and started doing my own research and it is not nearly as scary.

But the fact is no matter how much either side talks or even shows proof of what they are saying the other side will not see it nor believe it.  So it comes down to everyone needs to do what they want to do and stop trying to control everybody else.  If you are scared stay home.  Cover your face when you go in public.  Whatever gets you through the day.  I don' t want to be in crowds and don't want people in my personal space but I have been that way for a really long time.

I also find it interesting, I just read an article that says this virus was discovered in December of 2019.  Then WHY were we not made aware of it until late February?  Yet another thing that makes the logical thinker call BS on all this.

Back to your comment about you wear a mask and take it off in the car and you are afraid to take the chance.  A couple things...if you handle the mask then your hands are contaminated. That is why you see people wearing the mask in the car. They put it on when they leave home and do not touch it until they return home and throw it away. But that is beside the point.  If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask then that is fine.  I don't care.  I don't make fun of people who are wearing them. I also said if I go to an area that has a mandate or a store that enforced the masks I will either comply or not shop there.  But maskers do not have the right to try to physically force someone not wearing one to leave a store or to wear a mask.  Funny you never see someone without a mask trying to remove a mask from someone who IS wearing one.  ???

An ancient proverb states: “The shrewd one sees the danger and conceals himself.” (Proverbs 22:3) How true are those words today in a world plagued with potentially dangerous diseases! So inform yourself by consulting local health services, and conceal yourself from danger by practicing good hygiene. Bolster your defenses, and reduce the risk of disease!

From what i see here in forum, the majority of the members even tho tired of the situation seem to be shrewd.Again U can still be in wrong place at wrong time, but look at it this way.Did U have a better chance getting shot being in Vietnam or in Disney world?

Stay shrewd and turn to JW.org for Gods advice in this Satanic world.

The only thing to show up in election year is the major fear and control that is being pushed. You are correct in that we have new strains of the flu every year.  A few years ago it was the pig flu and there was something else that I don't recall at the moment.

i feel it will only end when we have a vaccine

Considering the vaccine is suppose to be less than 50% effective and will require multiple doses and less than 30% of people surveyed say they will take the vaccine you are looking at maybe 15% of the population.  Maybe you will be one of those. Or maybe you are one of these that say you can't take a vaccine but everybody else needs to take it so you can be protected.  ::)

Not sure what you mean by it happening because of human beings.

I think everybody is really stressing because you can't do the things you normally do without thought.  Now you have to put thoughts to where to go to get groceries and other chores and most of all stay in the house.

Depends on who you are.  You can live in fear or you can walk in faith.  I am not afraid to go to the grocery store.  I am not afraid to pass by people in the store.

One thing at a time.  First the election, then let's get serious about this pandemic!

It doesn't really matter, like the song says, "Que Sera, Sera". I take life one day at a time and make adjustments to fit each day as it comes.

I don't know, but these days I keep imagining that I can live again like it use to be.
I miss not having to worry as much when shopping.

Covid 19 is very bad. In some States is getting even worse.
Locke-downs are the situation making worse.

I 'm so ready to get things back to normal. When do you think this pandemic will be completely over? ??? ??? ???

It's ironic that a Virus took down the world !!!.  Normality was something we all took for granted.

We can take our masks off now. Biden apparently will cure us all now that he's (probably) president.

I was thinking this same thing the other day.  I was going to delay our next vacation but i figured if we have to get use to this why not go ahead and get use to this and just be careful as possible.

You know, I highly doubt things will ever really get back to "normal" or at least the normal that was before the virus. If anything, there will eventually be a new normative standard that people will unfortunately have to get used to.

I'm use to homeschooling kids but I must admit the virtual schooling they do within the school system is a bit overwhelming in its course load.

I am so ready for that as well. My son learning from home is turning out much more challenging than I initially thought and I am so eager to go back to swimming in my gym.

Let's pray indeed.  It would be nice if that's true.

According to the scientist, maybe by the 3rd quarter next year 2021.  Let's pray.

I was thinking sometime around the beginning to middle of 2022 as well.

Two years.  The Spanish Flu lasted two years.  Unfortunately people aren't doing the right thing so that's what it will last just the same.

Hi!

I don't think it ever will, unfortunately. Moreover, I think the virus will have its peak one more time

I think they're in the testing phases of finding a cure now. Let's pray it works- safely.  Sometimes cures come with even more detrimental side effects.

i feel it will only end when we have a vaccine

I want to go to a sporting event, too! I've been watching MMA matches, basketball, etc. online but crowds make them more fun to watch.
