Title: Cracker Barrel's racist logo
Post by: UGetPaid on February 12, 2021, 08:06:29 am
Just one of the many "woke" revelations into the "systemic racism"  ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)  rampant in our country.

Have you heard the latest effort to make something out of nothing by those who try their damndest to create racism where none exists (and in doing so, take away from the focus upon actual racism where it truly does exist).

There is now a claim circulating on Twitter that the company logo for Cracker Barrel where the K and the R loop around and connect to each other is meant to visually represent the shape of a whip as it is being lashed about just before striking its target with a brutal sting. A whip of course being a central image of the savagery of American slavery and therefore the Cracker Barrel logo is a literal sign of the "systemic racism" in America.

Going a step further, the name "Cracker Barrel" is allegedly a reference to a derogatory name for white people. One version (among many others which are very different explanations) of the origination of that slur comes from the name for the white slave owner cracking the whip.

So in the spirit of Uncle Ben and Aunt Jemima and Cream of Wheat, let's change the name of this "systemically racist" company to do our part in eliminating racism for all eternity - because changing names and logos is the only true way to change hearts.

You know, I had to google Cracker Barrel to see that.  I have never ever thought that in all the years we have gone there.  This ridiculous stuff has got to stop.  Now people are looking for any little thing that they can make racist.  Enough is enough!

There are so many racist logos, labels and ads that I cannot
name them all. Yes, these companies want to promote their
race and ideas that they make them publicly.

You so funny, UGetPaid. I know political correctness is infuriating, but you make it sort of comical.  :monkey:

BTW, I don't mind being called a cracker. I'm that salty.

Thank you, but I can't take the credit - when the sheer ridiculousness of the woke virtue signaling provides all the comedy necessary, it make me feel guilty to think that someone else is giving the comedic credit to me.

I think this whole situation is so stupid.  Before long if you breathe you are racist.  I look at people not the color of their skin.  Some of my good friends are black.

I've been hoping and praying for a backlash against this P.C. lunacy but I don't think it will ever happen.

Racist? No way. Democrats will come up with something to lure people to think that products/companies is racist! If it was racist, they should come out 1st year. Not more than 50 years to call the products or companies racist!

“The part of the logo being referenced in social media posts is a flourish, which is used in the calligraphy of the logos of many brands,” the company said in a statement to Politifact. “Cracker Barrel rejects racism and discrimination in any form.”
