I clicked on a FC survey titled Travel. I do not recall how long it said it was going to be but I think that it ended up being about 45 minutes long. I do not recall any questions about travel at all. Maybe I can not remember because the survey turned out to be so long. I would never have attempted a 40 minute or so survey.
I did get 40 cents for taking this survey.
If you have the time, check out a survey titled Travel that pays 40 cents and tell me what your experience is like.

40 cents for 45 minutes of survey is too long
-
Wow that's so strange
-
My attention span is too short to do long surveys.

I agree. I would never have attempted any survey 40 minutes long but it kept going and going.

I always complete the survey, no matter how long it takes because you never know if you will get credit in the end. But yes 40 min is a long time to complete a survey, esp for 40c.

This happens to me a lot. It might say beverage survey and turns out to be about cars or Ins. Also the actual time of a survey is hardly ever vvhat it claims to be and tends to be a lot longer.

I am glad you got paid for your time. It stinks to spend all that time and not get paid at all.

I agree and I thought of that as the survey went on and on. When I finally got the congratulations and submit button, I took a deep breath. And felt very relieved when I did get credit.

However, on a completely different site today, I completed two surveys. One was long and one was very long. I completed and submitted and got a "sorry, you do not meet the profile"each time.
I gave up on this site for the rest of the day,
So the problems that we experience on FC when it comes to surveys happens on other sites as well.

Phil, at least you got your $.40! I guess that's something! But I'm with you! I do not attempt long surveys because even the shorter estimated ones can turn out to be 30 or 40 minutes long for me. With no FC surveys listed today, I've turned to PL (with no luck so far). But Peanut Labs with their new format kinda forces me to take longer surveys. They only provide me two choices each time I go to the site, and if both of them are long, I have to select at least one before I can even see what pops up next. The old format was better for me, the new format better for the surveys' authors!

Today I am in the same situation as yourself. I did have one FC survey today that I was glad to not qualify for and bumped out very soon. I have many from other sites that I do not want to attempt. And then there is PL which has changed their format as you said. You have to attempt the one of two that you are given and only then do any others show up. Yes, it is for the survey sites benefit that PL has changed the format.
I am on another site that also offers PL and the same thing has happened.

In my experience, most if not all of the survey topics and estimated completion times are complete and total B.S. I've stopped looking for topics or times that fit my needs and usually pick my survey attempts based solely on the reward amount displayed (which is also never a guarantee).

I have tried surveys before that said it was about a certain subject, but nothing ever comes up about that subject. I have also had surveys that said you would need your sound and you never do.

Speaking of traveling, do any of you try to work FC during your vacation?
-
When we go on vacation, yes I do enough to earn my five cents for ptc each day.
