Do you like to use a straw? Such bad press about plastic, this is a good alternative:

Post by: 1imaginarygirl on March 02, 2021, 07:57:26 pm: I like ice in my drinks, but I don't like drinking from a glass with ice. So I bought some reusable stainless steel straws, and I love them. I actually drink more water when I use a straw, but I would never buy plastic straws.

They look high quality and I love the biodegradable feature. I have seen some restaurants use bamboo straws which both look elegant and are sustainable.

Since I started this thread, I found metal straws on the retail sites. Comes with a tiny brush to clean..not expensive. Sooo why the panic? The plastic straws are the culprit here (finding them inside sharks, whales etc. up tortoises noses)

Post by: cathy37 on March 03, 2021, 11:56:30 am: It depends on what I am drinking. If I am drinking a soft drink I use a straw. If I am drinking ice tea I don't use a straw because the straw picks up the hot part of the tea instead of the cold part.
