Do you like to use a straw? Such bad press about plastic, this is a good alternative:
Buy 100% Natural Biodegradable Drinking Straws!
Hay straws are made from 100% biodegradable natural wheat stems. Farmers consider these stems as an agricultural waste product because once the grain has been harvested the base of the wheat plant is burnt. Hay straws are harmless to the environment, soggy free, taste free, gluten free!

I am not that big on drinking with a straw especially at home. I did buy some metal straws for someone who I know likes to drink out of straws. They are better for the environment too.
-
Depends upon what I am drinking and out of what type of container. I rarely buy them anymore but used to more when my grown sons were young.
-
Not particularly but if it can help with not having acidic beverages touch my teeth (since they are yellow enough as it is), I'll drink with them.
-
I like ice in my drinks, but I don't like drinking from a glass with ice. So I bought some reusable stainless steel straws, and I love them. I actually drink more water when I use a straw, but I would never buy plastic straws.
-
I usually don't drink much from straws, but I really like the biodegradable ones you mentioned below. They look high quality and I love the biodegradable feature. I have seen some restaurants use bamboo straws which both look elegant and are sustainable.

The only thing that I use a straw for is mainly milkshakes.

Yes, I do like to drink with a straw

Since I started this thread, I found metal straws on the retail sites. Comes with a tiny brush to clean..not expensive. Sooo why the panic? The plastic straws are the culprit here (finding them inside sharks, whales etc. up tortoises noses)

It depends on what I am drinking. If I am drinking a soft drink I use a straw. If I am drinking ice tea I don't use a straw because the straw picks up the hot part of the tea instead of the cold part.

as a general rule i hate drinking from straws. if i were traveling somewhere i might use them.
The hay straws look interesting. wonder how well they work. :rose: :rainbow: :peace:

I drink from a straw when I go out. But not when I’m home.
