I got my second dose of the Moderna last week.
-
Will get it as soon as I qualify.
-
I am kind of scared to get it. I heard of someone who died from getting the COVID shot.
-
I am getting it on Saturday and i believe it will be the Moderna. My mom already had her 2 shots of Moderna and my dad had his first shot of Pfizer, will be getting the 2nd dose end of month.
-
In my state, they just opened the vaccine to the 50 year old age group today. I am still one month shy of that milestone birthday. So I am in a wait and see pattern. I expect Ohio to possibly open it up to the 40 or 45 age group before I am officially part of the 50 group, but either way I plan to be "on the waitlist" by mid April - if not before.

Honestly I have not heard that, but truthfully I know of 3 people who died from COVID. And, please, no comments I am 100% positive it was COVID not the flu or anything else.

Nancy, but U know some wise azz here will say people die from the flu too and Covid only has a 2% mortality rate.
I knew 5 people very well that passed away from it.
How did U feel after your shots?I still havent gotten it yet and my spouse is going soon.

:cat: Nope no nada - I don't get vaccines and sure would not get one of these - I don't leave my house and I don't see the merit in taking a risk with one of these vaccines. Some of them contain aborted fetus cells which would go against my spiritual beliefs and I just don't trust anything developed so quickly

Your choice, but the one you are referring is Johnson & Johnson only.

We were fine that day, the next day I had a headache, not bad took two aspirin went away. My husband was 100% fine.

If you check out conservative media instead of the lying left media, you will see that there have been significant numbers of people with severe reactions and deaths as well. One of my good friends had a severe reaction to the second shot.
It is an experimental drug that tampers with your DNA, for God sake. If you're a healthy person, you should avoid it like the plague. Pun intended.
But then again, if it makes you feel better and you feel strongly that way, then go ahead. Let us know how it turns out for you. :peace:

I don’t want to start a war, but are you aware Trump and his wife received the shot in January? Yes I’m sure people have died from the shot, but there are thousands dying from the virus. I have always said you must do what you think is best for you. If you get the shot fine, if you don’t that’s fine too. I’m not going to say anything negative either way, nor will I ever say anything about masks. You must do what you think is best for you.

I havnt decided yet. My husband got his first Phizer 2 days ago. He is considered essential.
-
I will get mine next year after more information is about about it.
-
I will get mine as soon as I am able.
-
I'm 2 weeks past second dose of Pfizer - go get it when you can!
-
I have to get the vaccine for my job. I just can't find any available appointments right now. ???
-
Yes, getting my second dose next week.
-
yeah but when it is easily available
-
cover is 97% survivable. The side affects from the vaccine are to great to even think of taking it.
-
Nope not in a hurry to get it. I'm not the type to rush out and be the first to try any new thing, be it vaccines or new technology, I'd rather sit back and see how it goes for others for a while.
-
I am most of the adults in my family have already received both shots. We have nurses, police and firemen. No one had much of any reaction. It has brought a lot of peace of mind to know we have had it and have some protection. If you work in a hospital you would certainly have a change of mind about getting the shot. It is not a hoax, it is a horrible way to die and also having to be without your family.
-
Will get it when I can. In ca. On April. 15th if your 18 or older can get. Hopefully won't get sick.
-
I'm getting my first dose on Monday.
-
I have gotten my first shot of the Pfiezer and will be getting the second soon.

Ohio opened vaccines up to 40+ year olds on March 19. It took me a few days in the system to find a location that had product and appointments available, but I eventually found a CVS pharmacy about 30 minutes away that had both. None of the sites in my immediate area had anything available online and only one or two would put me onto a waiting list.
Got my first shot this past Friday and am scheduled for my second one in mid-April - so I am ahead of schedule based on my earlier post. I had no ill effects at all other than a sore shoulder for about 48 hours.
After I get my second dose of the COVID vaccine I'm going to take a few weeks to let that run its course and then start thinking about getting a shingles vaccine sometime this spring or early summer.

Very well put Nancy.
I know some JWs that have been vaccinated and so far so good. Some people can get a reaction to eating a piece of fish.I guess it depends on the make-up of us.
Some speak out against the vaccine and would take a blood transfusion and still call themselves a Xtian even tho God condones it like homosexuality and abortions.
Im on the fence with the vaccine from a personal perspective but dont condone it either unless I know God forbids it like blood or being gay......and havent seen that yet.
Dont waste your time tring to get Trump supporters to speak out against him.If what has gone down this past yr hasnt convinced them be thankful you dont have that state of mind.
Quick update BTW.......I heard Biden was constipated.
-
I have heard it is not FDA approved and that they have already been exempt from any liability if something goes wrong. I think I will take my chances without it

Come to think about it. Did the shot give me a headache or was it my husband? My money is on him 😁
-
Yes, got my second shot last week, my husband, sister and daughter, we got the Phizer
-
Going on Wednesday 1st. shot! Took several days to get appointment finally!
For those still looking for appointments check here!

I got the first dose today (Moderna). It's been over 8 hours, and I'm fine so far. I am a bit achy in the shoulder and neck on the side I got the shot, but my arm is not sore. I did have a dull headache today, but I don't think it's vaccine related. I get a lot of tension headaches normally. But I've heard the second shot is more likely to give you side effects.
-
Still waiting to see if there's very many side effects. I always get terrible side affects from the regular flu shot, so I'm going to hold off since this is experimental. I usually get very sick for three days from regular flu shot and some years don't get regular flu shot for this reason. Besides, I'm going to be 71 soon.
-

Some of us Trump supporters will speak out against him (and have done so) when we feel he deserves it, but also defend him when he is treated unfairly (which is 98% of the time when covered in the media). Because it is such a high percentage - is just seems like we are always defending him and never speaking out against him.
Also - not my intention to start a new battle, but if it came to a point where I needed a blood transfusion to save my life, I would gladly accept it without any fear that I was committing a sin in the process. I have personally donated 3 gallons of my blood over the past several years and hope to eventually get that up to about 50 gallons or more - God willing.
I fully understand that you choose not to for religious beliefs, which you are entitled to.

You might be the only one here on FC that have spoken out on Trump. There are more posts waiting for Biden to stumble. From Trump supporters i am speaking of.
There are other blood alternatives to use and the bible clearly condemns how God feels re blood.I also understand many could care less about that and still say they support bible.
Ill gladly put them up for anyone interested in seeing them but not expecting it,so i guess for now U just have to take my word.
The Pharissees were entitled to their religeous beliefs too.Go read on how Jesus viewed them.Thats why Jesus said if you wanna follow me in this Satanic world be prepared also to pick up your torture stake.
You ended your post saying,"God willing"
I also remind you what Psalms 83:18 KJV says RE who is the TRUE God.
2 Corinthians 4:4, KJV: "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."This scripture refers to Satan also being a god.

It does appear that the more people get the shot the safer we all are I'm considering it

I will not receive the shot yet.. not until others have received it to see how it works. Maybe one day, I would want to be protected. A neighbor received the shot and was shaking uncontrollably. It then stopped.
-
I got my first Pfizer dose last Sunday! So happy.
-
I got my first dose about a week ago. Getting 2nd dose in a couple of weeks.
-
I actually did a trial and got the Novavax, which isn't out yet. I was fine after the first shot but after the second I got sick for a couple of days and felt like a bus hit me.
-
No I am not getting the vaccine. I am a homebound person and I don't leave my house but to do curbside pick up of pizza or groceries. I don't get vaccines as a matter of practice.
-
I finally decided to get the shot, only because we love to travel and dont want to worry about having to get tested and some states are requiring quarantining. I felt fine after the first one (maybe a little tired) and my husband was sympton free after the first and second one. I hope I am lucky and dont have any symptoms either after my second one in a couple weeks.

The last time I received the flu shot I got sick. Tired, just unwell. I never felt this way in the other flu shots I have received prior. Very strange. So with the covid vaccine, I'm not sure about that. I have severe allergies, I'm allergic to everything.
-
Got it yesterday and second is scheduled for May. Arm a bit sore but ok so far.
-
Yes, I did get mine and I feel good
-
I got the first shot on April 1st. It was the Modena vaccine. I take my second shot on April 29th. The only problem I had was a big red sore spot on my arm. I looked at the side effects and it said that it was covid arm and that I need to get the second shot in my other arm.
-
Yes I did
-
I am still undecided
-
My husband signed up for the Johnson and Johnson vaccine this week, then they suspended it!
-
Yes I have had both doses.
-
Still haven't gotten it. Probably ever won't.
-
I have Known couple of people who got it and it's still mixed feelings for me but they say the side effects are not as dangerous as the vaccine so I'm seriously considering it especially since kids are back in school around other people
-
No way! Wouldn't go anywhere near it.
-
still considering gonna talk to doctor tomorrow
-
no, not a lab rat
-
I got both shots already, Moderna. We got the 2nd one a few weeks ago so we are now as protecred by the vaccines as we can be.

My parents, aunt, and uncle received the Moderna. They had no issues.
-
I'm still not sure yet, waiting until August
-
I have already gotten both of my vaccines. Pfizer
-
so weeded my flower boxes cut my grass blew leaves now sinus infection called dr instead of allergy meds was sent for covid which came back negative waiting to hear from dr about when and wear to get the shot
-
I just got my 2nd dose last week on the 26th of this month! I was really scared but after my doctor told he lost a lot of patients bc most didn’t get the vaccine or out right refuse get take it! My poor big bro who’s a doctor in the Philippines took the first dose but it wasn’t strong enough, he didn’t develop enough antibodies from the vaccine to prevent the onset of Covid. 5 days after taking it he ended up in hospital with respiratory problems! Happily, he has recovered now but he still has to in lockdown a bit longer for precautions. If you haven’t yet, please take the vaccine because it’s the 2nd line of defense against Covid!
-
I got my second Pfizer dose two weeks ago! Super thankful.
-
I just got my first shot of Pfizer a week ago and my second one is in two weeks. I am so excited.
-
unfortunately because we love to travel, I gave in and got the vaccine, thinking it would be easy for flying, etc. I went through literal hell for 2 straight days and a week later, still dont feel good. Good luck if you get it and have side effects. It was HORRIBLE :( Oh, and mine was the phizer.
-
I would never be around anyone who hasn't gotten their vaccines. People are still sitting back stating they are going to wait. How asinine. But perhaps they like not being able to be around family and friend.
-
I think it should be everyones choice. The vaccines dont prevent covid, just maybe lesson symptoms. The vaccine has not been tested long enough to be considered safe. The idiot government still thinks you should wear a mask even WITH the vaccine, yet shoves it on everyone. This shaming of folks for saying no, needs to stop. It isnt anyones business (least of all the governement) who has or has not had a vaccine. This is out of control on the government thinking it can push any citizen to do anything, including wearing masks, not gathering, or vaccines. Come on folks, it has a high recovery rate and yet we are being scared into all this nonsense. Do what is best for YOU!! And leave others to decide for themselves. If you really believe the government is going to be done with this, even if everyone got a vaccine; then you are very uninformed. IF you feel better getting vaccinated or wearing a mask, then do so. I respect your decisions. Respect mine decisions and my privacy.
-
I am kind of scared to get it. I heard of someone who died from getting the COVID shot.
I'm leary of it too. Waiting to see how people are affected by it in the long run who have gotten the shots.
-
I got the J & J, it will be a month coming this Sunday and TG I feel fine and so glad I got it now !!
-

Your doctor is an idiot and spreading false information. There have been multiple reports where people got the vax and still got the virus and even got the virus and died. You even admit in YOUR post that your brother took the vax and then still got covid but try to justify it. If you want to take it then take it. But stop trying to shove it on others. If the vax works then you took it so you are protected. Don't worry about the ones who don't take it.

I know a guy who took it 2-3 weeks ago and he still doesn't feel right.

So give it back to them. Shame them for wearing a face diaper. And it IS your choice. No one is being forced to do anything. Covid is just a new strain of the flu and it has already mutated just like viruses and the flu virus does every year. The flu and covid are both strains of "coronavirus". People are just stupid any more.
-
I don't plan on it, although my doctor was rooting for me to.
-
My ex husband's uncle recently did. I'm sure there were other contributors but it gives me pause.
I am kind of scared to get it. I heard of someone who died from getting the COVID shot.
-
I got the second one Thursday and did fine just a sore arm. I had more issues when I took the flu shot.
-
Seriously think I'm get mine this week so many people without masks and not sure I trust the honor system of people telling truth that they had shots
-
Not so long ago, I received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. I was successfully immunized with CoviShield, manufactured by AstraZeneca/Oxford. But, as studies have shown, there is no reason to worry. This vaccine is "in service" in many progressive countries of the world. In the morning, there was a feeling of slight exhaustion, as after a cold. But, in principle, nothing fatal, the usual reaction to the vaccination. By the evening, it completely let go. I hid the pills, I didn't need it anymore. But I remember how I was afraid of getting sick at the very beginning of the pandemic. I ordered an antigen swab test (https://www.confirmbiosciences.com/covid19-sars-antigen-rapid-swab-test/) to protect my 80-year-old grandmother since she lives with me. I did these tests every time I came home, and with a vaccination, you can not be afraid of this.
-
i still havent got my shot
-
I was waiting until the fall to see what happens but with this Delta variant wreaking havoc I got my first shot last week. I just had soreness at the injection site for a day. I head that the second shot might have more after effects. I got Pfizer. I still wear a mask and will continue even when I am fully vaccinated. I will still avoid crows and social distance.
-
got both in April. Experienced total hell for 2 days. Worst i have felt in years. I felt like I was dying. Horrible.
-
We got our shots in February as soon as we were eligible . Most of the family got theirs already too as we are all police, and medical or 1st responders.
-
Yes, I have gotten both vaccines back in April.
-
No I haven't gotten the Covid vaccine
-
There is a 33 year old woman who got both her covid vaccines, until one day she felt ill swore up and down it wasn't covid because she still had her taste and smell but she died just recently. She was fully vaccinated!
-

Exactly. A 33 year old woman got both her shots. She did everything that was asked of her for protection from this virus but STILL got covid and died recently. The media don't tell you everything so make a decision for yourself.

The JWs have supported the vaccines now.
If there were blood products in them they wouldnt have.
Vaccines are based on personal decisions by them.
-
Got mine back in May. The whole family is now vaccinated with my youngest getting his just last month.
-
I got both vaccines in April 2021.

Haven't gotten the shot and am not really interested either. It's the fact that a lot of people who have had shot still getting it and some of the complications I've seen others have that's including death. Id rather mask up and social distance than take the risk
-
I was inoculated back during the first wave. I think it's time to renew it
-
Got mind, a long time ago waiting on when to get my booster shot.
-
I got both of my shots even though I was scared! When my Doctor told me of so many of his patients dying from Covid or the addition to the complications of current illnesses due to Covid, I sucked it up & took the plunge! I was very fearful because every year, if I take the flu shot, I always get the flu. Amazingly, knock on wood, I didn't even get any side effect from the Vaccine! So, advice to those still standing bye, if you won't do it for yourself do it to help protect your family & your fellow human. Even though, I got the shots, I still wear my mask in public because I'm not big headed & pig headed to think that just because I've the vaccine, I'm immune to the covid19 virus! You're still succestable to catching other virus's & bacterium swirling around you every breath you breath in & out every single day. If you have to stop to think how many germs & foreign invaders your body has to fight off......your head would explode off your shoulders while screaming till you lose your voice!

The vaccine does not contain aborted fetus cells. That was a conspiracy theory that was spouted a while back. You can't believe anything any more.

smh People like you are part of the problem. You are not going to convince anyone to take this vaccine by calling them names and insulting them. And this crap about take it to protect others is beyond foolish! If you want to be protected then take the vax to protect you. You or me or anybody else taking the vax does not protect others. In fact you would put others in danger. It has been proven that vac people are more likely to show no symptoms and be spreading the virus and not know they are doing so. SO there is that.
The mask is basically worthless as well. The virus is 1000 times smaller than the pores in the mask. So the virus will pass right through. IF the mask worked then NO ONE who wears a mask would ever get sick. But the ignorant maskers want to blame the unmasked. And are too stupid to see that the face diaper is not working.
You are correct in one thing. After being fully vaxed you can still get cov. But according to the numbers we are being given the majority of the people in the hospitals, on vents, and dying are people who are not vaccinated. I have talked to real people I know who are saying this.
The best thing you can do is stay away from people. But unless you are lucky enough to work from home then most likely you will be around other people.

I didn't get it. It hasn't earned my trust yet. I have seen couples break up over differences on getting the shot. I'm single so whatever I decide will be my decision. In Chicago big companies are making it mandatory.

I am kind of scared to get it. I heard of someone who died from getting the COVID shot.
I don't blame you. I think there are many folks that have had bad reactions or died. It is a very hard decision to make. Folks also have died of Covid. It seems like a vaccine can be the better route for most folks, but it also seems like it doesn't always work. It definitely should be a personal decision without anyone trying to force it on people.

I agree. If you have a strong immune system with no health issues you're good to go. If you do catch it ,it will be mild symptons, nothing life threatening. I haven't gotten a vaccine as of yet don't know it I will.

I haven't gotten it either. Me and my husband have decided not to get it. At first we was for it and then things changed. So we both are being as careful as possible.

I'm fully vaccinated and my hubby completed his last week because he works for the government and didn't want to take a weekly test

Hi. Sometimes intimate health problems arise. For many, it is not easy to go to the pharmacy and ask the seller for the medicine they need, especially if there are other customers as well. Virtual stores respect privacy and you can order the necessary drug without hesitation. Try learn more about EU Meds (https://eumeds.com). I think many people will find it useful.
