Title: Where are you going for Thanksgiving?

Post by: Cuppycake on October 30, 2009, 02:19:49 pm: I am staying home for Thanksgiving. We have a weird tradition of watching *bleep* Wonka and having blueberry pie lol! We like to have a fried turkey, homemade bread and all of the normal Thanksgiving this to go with it. :)

I have off two days before Thanksgiving but not sure if I can get home and back since the day before is a big travel day. The hotel probably won't have anything because they don't have a restaurant. I'll be eating sardines for Thanksgiving.

Post by: jkhanson on October 30, 2009, 03:18:36 pm: We'll be staying home. We home to have some of the kids come home, but travel and time off from jobs always factors in. Whatever happened to the days when people worked Mon-Friday and had weekends off?

Post by: cowgirlx on October 31, 2009, 11:33:24 am: to like 4 differant thanksgiving "dinners" everyone always wants us to come over, so we spend the whole day on the road. Not my favorite time of the year, it would be better if some people would understand that home time is good too.

Post by: mommagoes on November 02, 2009, 11:39:00 am: the saturday before thanksgiving, we drive out to my aunt's house for a huge thanksgiving potluck. all my aunts uncles and cousins get together over there and pig out! then we usually head over to my husband's parent's house to visit so they can see the kids. on the actual day of thanksgiving, i get up early and make all the traditional thanksgiving dishes, including dinner rolls and pumpkin pies from scratch. and when its ready, my mother, brother, sister and her fiance come over to eat and watch football and be thankful for the wonderful family we have.

Post by: makettlez on November 10, 2009, 10:07:30 am: I want to go home to Georgia for Thanksgiving but my boyfriend wants me to stay here and spend it with his family,. You see, his sister was in a bad car accident this time last year but now she's all better so his family is coming here to celebrate. But, my son just got full custody of all four of his kids, got rid of thier mother,(she even married someone!ha!ha! for him) and is finally getting his own house this year. He has accomplished a lot in the last year. In addition to all that, he has over come drugs and drinking. I'm so proud of him so naturally I want to go celebrate with him. But I can't be in 2 places at one time. So I guess I'm unsure at the moment.

I may just end up staying here at my cousin's place or I might get lucky and be able to go over to my grandma's house! I don't know if they are doing a big thing this year or not though sooo...it all depends.
