Going along with this silly analogy, if we were good eggs living in a community of eggs and worked to become aquainted with a few other good eggs, I think we would do just fine.

I don't believe this for a moment, my son has a Golden Doodle and makes regular stops at PetCo to bring home a whole bag of tail wags and his dog starts them as soon as he walks in the door with that bag. I swear that dog knows how to read.
