Title: Bottle recycling to 10 cents

Heard there was a bill in the works to raise it but have not seen or heard whats become of it. Any thoughts?

I haven't bought any soft drinks in bottles in a long time.  I do remember taking them to the store to get paid a few cents for the bottle.

I drink canned sparkling water, so I really don't use glass anymore.

In Oregon there has been a 10 cent deposit on both bottles and cans for years. We don't see our roadsides cluttered with then either.

Let me guess, you live in California. Exactly why I moved in 1969.

California and Oregon both probably have problems with other states trying to bring truckloads of recycling in.  I have seen them stopped at the Arizona and Nevada borders.  You are suppose to take across state lines.
