Title: What makes a real man?
Post by: articx on November 18, 2009, 04:10:37 pm
What do you think?

If a man finds out his wife or girlfriend cheated, should he take her back? Does it make him a real man, if he chooses to take her back? How about if they had children together?

Now, what if the situation was reversed? The man cheated and the woman finds out.

If i absolutely knew for sure my bf was cheating the yes i would be gone. There is to much stuff going around these days. Plus if he doesnt care about me enough to go out here and cheat then its not worth the time to put into the relationship anyways.

If the man cheated, then that means he was not a good man to begin with. He was not good enought for the woman to learn to appreciate him, so he was NOT treated as a REAL MAN.. To take the man back will not make a woman a better woman. WOMAN ARE NATURALLY GOOD  ;D

If the woman cheated, then SHE DID NOT HAVE A GOOD MAN EITHER. Men have to make women happy or it just doesn't work. If he takes the woman back that will not make the man a good man either. HE NEEDS TO CHANGE AND MAKE HIS WOMAN HAPPY !  :notworthy:

I would think that it all depends on the individual situation.

if there is really a true reason why the bf/gf cheated then yeah take them back ...... but if it was a "i'm gonna cheat cause i'm not happy or an i'm gonna cheat because I am  miserable" NO there are many other people to form a bond with in this world!

A real man has nothing to do with taking back a woman if she cheated. It all lies in the relationship he has with others. A real man is loyal to the ones he loves, will do whatever it takes to be a great boyfriend/husband/father/friend, etc. (Just like with a woman as well)

A real man knows how to treat a lady respectfully and like she is the most beautiful and amazing thing in his life. He doesn't take her for granted and he makes sure that she's happy. (Same with the woman)
A real man never hits or abuses a woman physically or emotionally. He listens, pays attention, cooperates, helps out, makes time for his wife/family and doesn't stray when "things get tough" etc. To me this is a real man. (And a real woman!)

It boils down to..a real man just knows how to respect others and shows it. If he respects others then all those others things just fall into place.

I believe what makes a real man is how he approaches a situation.  THere are some things that aren't worth fighting over so you should know when to step up to the plate and when to back down.

I'm chucklin' inwardly at the folks who think they judge what it takes to be a "real man". There's so many varying opinions on the matter that little enlightenment can come as a result of this discussion as its entirely a matter of perspective. What makes a man real to you? Well there ya go.

My definition of a real man is someone who can take care of themselves, as well as a family if need be. I'll admit, that this is something I can't even do myself, but it's a goal to work towards.

I cheated on my husband before we were married.  he had an engagement ring, but I wasn't even sure he was serious about me (i didn't know he had the ring) and he learned of my other relationship --- we discussed a lot --I realized he was very serious about me and truly cared enough to be extremely upset.

he forgave me and we are married now 3 years and going strong -- he is certainly a real man in my book -- he loved me through my imperfections!

The only way in this situation (assuming there are children) for him to be a real man is to leave her gracefully.  Be civil, and continue to support his children.  Someone with no *bleep* would be mean, or cruel, and might even leave children behind.  A man is somebody that can take the high road in a situation like this.   :male:

Are they married, if they are it is worth working out. It is totally wrong, but they need to find out why whoever cheated did, then go from there, is this something that is a problem, if so, then maybe if one cannot commit to the relationship and wants to continue in the non-monagamous lifestyle the other shouldn't stay, because they would be convicted of allowing adultery. so then I think if nothing else, then a divorice, but if it can be stopped, it is best to forgive.
