Off-Topic / Re: home cooked or Microwave food taste better?

Homecooked meals are definitely better than microwaved meals. They just taste better. I rarely use the microwave for anything but popcorn or just to reheat something that has already been home cooked.

Hey it's just a movie. It looks interesting.  A lot of movies are about things you don't necessarily believe. They're just interesting.

Hello Mikeokareno,
I'm sorry to hear of your misfortune. I wish you luck with making money. Do the dailies everyday. I rarely do any offers that are not free, but it takes a long time to make money that way.

Off-Topic / Re: kids today
« on: November 03, 2009, 06:02:06 pm »Message ID: 105998
I think a major problem with kids having no respect for other people come from them being alone at home too much of the time, or being their own boss. I say this because most moms have to work nowadays. There's no one there when they come home from school or no one there to say no. In a nutshell, I think they have way to little Supervision. After all part of parenting is directing the kids in the way to behave.  Hanging around with people who are getting into trouble all the time and a parent not knowing of this until their kid gets caught, because the kid was not supervised .A parent needs to know who their kids friends are and where they are at , at all times. When they get 18, then maybe they will have learned enough about how to behave. Until then, the parent is the teacher.
I'm not knocking working parents. I have to work too. I'm just saying that kids still need supervision, whether its a grandparent or a person paid to stay with the child while the parent isn't home or for whatever reason. Kids need to be supervised.

Off-Topic / Re: how often do you watch tv?

Hi,

We used to have the TV on any time we were at home, but now we rarely turn it on. I have Satellite, but after you watch a few shows it just seems that they are all reruns. I can't get interested in TV very much anymore. I even look at weather news over the internet.

Payments / When do you get approved $1 for posting payment?
« on: November 02, 2009, 01:49:31 pm »Message ID: 105601
I cashed  out my first payment August 18,2009. Received first payment in September 2009. Then posted that I had received my payment. Is this listed under your account to show if you have been credited for it or not? Because I'm not seeing it. I went back the the payments forum and couldn't find where I had posted it, although it showed on there at the time I posted and submitted it. Could it be unapproved and if so, how could that be? Any help will be appreciated.  :confused1:

We usually wait until after Thanksgiving. It just seems the right time to do it. To each is own, but Halloween is way too early for me. :D

Off-Topic / Re: Do you think President Obama will make the economy better?
« on: November 02, 2009, 12:44:10 pm »Message ID: 105587
Well, demand for the product don't pick up when people are out of work and have no money to buy the product. I can't see all the blame being put on Obama, though. It was in a mess when he was elected into office. However I can't say I see any progress being made by anything he's done. Nobel Peace Prize? Ha ! What has he done to deserve one? I think that is ridiculous.  I think it will be a very long time before the economy improves. In the state I live in there are still places shutting down. There are new ones scheduled to open in the Fall of 2010. Most of us will have run out of unemployment benefits long before then. An Apple company is scheduled to be opened in my area in Fall 2010. I don't hold out high hopes for many jobs, though. It probably will be like another company that moved to this state recently. Most of the jobs they had available were Supervisor positions. The company had very few jobs that weren't Supervisor positions. People just out of college don't have experience, so they don't qualify to apply for Supervisor jobs. People that haven't went to college don't qualify. The only ones who do qualify are the people that moved here with the company. Kind of makes you wonder who the Supervisors are Supervising. Online workers perhaps, from across the states? There is a Call Center company intending to move to this state by next fall too. There are supposed to be about 400 jobs from that company. But there are thousands out of work. And , alas, the jobs that are being created that I have found are low paying. And there are so many people applying for the same job that you don't have much chance of getting it, unless you know someone in the company. I know a low paying job is better than no job, but still, how can you climb out of a mess and buy products to stimulate the economy , when you are barely surviving affording basic needs? I am 50 years old and have lived through recessions before. I have never seen jobs this unobtainable. I was always able to find something , even if it was a job I'd rather not have. And no, I don't believe my whole problem is my age. Some companies would rather hire people that are older. They see them as more dependable. Just venting my anger. :P

I am a LEO. They're fun to read sometimes, but I don't believe them. Actually, my thoughts are that everytime I read one, it is so general it could apply to almost anyone. And what does it mean if you did believe it? That everyday you read a horoscope, the same exact thing happens for all the other LEO'S or whatever your personal sign is.. The ones that want you to pay for readings, are also trying to sell things like talismans, etc. Seems to me its a business like anything else.  I don't pay for anything like this but I m sure some people do. :cat:

You said it mommagoes. I agree. My main pet peeve is people that quote scriptures from the Bible to you when they think they know all, but don't do what they preach themselves.

Money is not the most important thing in my life, but having some sure does help along the way. It is a necessity of life and everybody needs it. Money can't buy happiness but if you don't have any it can make you pretty miserable too.
