There's always been controversy surrounding the practices on meat produce, and the often times horrible circumstances of the animals (cattle, poultry, sheep, etc.) before their deaths. For those who are against this behavior found at some farms and other meat producing facilities:
How do you feel about the killing of the not-so-cuddly animals? The arthropods (insects, arachnids, crustaceans, etc.), mollusks (and cephalopods) are also killed and/or consumed by humans. I just find it puzzling that only certain species are considered worthy of defense, while others aren't even taken into consideration at all.
Have you ever wondered, or has this just not crossed your mind?
